  1. Past hour
  2. And where do you we draw the line about which people and which institutions can give what kinds of benefits providing honour and security? Can rich business people, for example, give politicians fancy cars if they have bulletproof windows? How about a mansion within German Shepard’s or a Rolex that releases sleeping gas? Will the army be supplying housing for all future PM’s?
  3. "Tourists told: If you came to Chiang Mai and got Covid we'll give you 100,000 baht" Surely that should read *Get* and not "got" ?
  4. I was talking in general, not just about The Beer Garden. Yes, the vaccine is being deployed, but when do you expect UK tourists, and in what numbers? I think it will be too little, too late, for many businesses here. I have no doubt Pattaya will be back, but I think it will start as a trickle, and then slowly build up, rather than a fire in a furniture shop.
  5. More off-topic and trolling posts, along with replies, in this vaccine-related thread have been removed. Along with posts putting forward dubious medical claims.
  6. Ok ok I will own up, but I didn't climb over the fence
  7. That 100,000 baht increase is actually 274 baht per day for 365 days. Yes it is a small amount, but then the program itself looks like it is under water and they are grasping at the regular Thai way of doing business "When fewer customers, just raise the prices". As far as staying in my home country no thanks I will spend my multi million baht a year pension here in Thailand, and bank the remainder from my properties in the US to pay for <deleted> I want later on. Where do you get that staying in Thailand is free BTW. Time to look in the mirror.
  8. Be careful, the mask is slipping. Your deep dislike of the English is becoming more and more obvious with each passing post.
  9. I think you've missed the point. A school should not encourage economic and social disparity. The rule that every student should wear the same type of clothes, that is, a uniform, helps to reduce the social and economic disparity, but doesn't necessarily eliminate it.
  10. Morris and his wife Esther went to the state fair every year, and every year Morris would say, “Esther, I’d like to ride in that helicopter.” Esther always replied, “I know Morris, but that helicopter ride is fifty dollars, and fifty dollars is fifty dollars.” One year, Esther and Morris went to the fair, and Morris said, “Esther, I’m 85 years old. If I don’t ride that helicopter today, I might never get another chance.” To this, Esther replied, “Morris that helicopter ride is fifty dollars, and fifty dollars is fifty dollars.” The pilot overheard th
  11. Yes, have the Dolphin and its brilliant. I wouldn't be without it.
  12. Did anyone expect any less? And they worry about the national image! Disgraceful and disgusting! So glad I'm not a Thai peasant, shafted on a daily basis!
  13. Probably a second loan regarding which the details have been conveniently left out. You said GF, not wife - there's still a glimmer of hope! She doesn't sound trustworthy at all. so give her a backhander, and find a new one.
  14. The current PM has not EVEN halted the sale of lottery tickets above their listed price of 80 Baht in the six years he has been in power. I would have thought that something this simple would have been an ease for someone this powerful. After all having proved he has to live in an army barracks, for protection surely he would be safe from the Lottery ticket mafia.
  15. Perfect, now to convince wifey that she needs a weeks holiday in Chang Mai.
  16. So now gasoline has been poured over the fire and guess what, there's a gas station nearby and the flames have just started licking the pumps. What a JOKE! You can get rid of a prime minister for hosting a cooking show for a few thousand baht, but you can't get rid of one who has been living in a house rent and utility free for the last 6 years. Let's not forget the army chap who went ballistic and shot up a mall because he was unable to purchase one of these army welfare homes (sorry, Prayut called it a guest house - with permanent residency) and the Army chief ordered
  17. Yep. Often had to pump a manhole out before entering it.
  18. Anyone with experience using pool cleaning robots? I'm looking at 3 from Pool Pro&Lab aka JD Pools, The basic ACTIVE 10 seems to do everything while the ACTIVE 20 and ACTIVE30i just add non-essential bells and whistles Any recommendations please
  19. You could apply for the 60 day covid 19 extension first and then the 60 day extension to visit you wife.
  20. Do you have a link to that article you’ve lifted from the “Conspiracy Daily” newspaper?!
  21. The USA loved MG sports cars, most of them went there.....
  22. I don't really understand all the fuss about IDP. If you live in Thailand, and travel outside Thailand, you use your Thai Driver's Licence, as others have stated. My British Driver's Licence still sits in a drawer, I keep it for sentimental reasons, not sure why, but I believe Swansea expect it to be returned if it is invalidated by the fact you no longer reside in the UK, not that that is enforceable in any way. If, in the unlikely event I were to visit the UK in the future, I would use my Thai DL if I got pulled over by the police, and indeed, I believe this is the way it's supposed to be.
  23. Just in case somebody is interested in real facts: External peer review of the RTPCR test to detect SARS-CoV-2 reveals 10 major scientific flaws at the molecular and methodological level: consequences for false positive results The PCR test does not work !!!
  24. Was it Lexus who came second in the F1 makers list? LOL
  25. isnt Ikea any good? At least you know the level of quality....
  26. Oh, wow. 2,674 new members. That's really going to be a game changer. Pop the corks fellas and let the bubbly flow. Happy days are here again. Whoopee! Don't look now but just to let you know that some spoilsport in the back is wondering if maybe you might have attracted double or triple those numbers if you had halved the price instead of raising it, these being troubled covid times. Just ignore him. 2,674!
