  2. US asking for a cease fire, after left the road open to Turkeys butchers to slaughter women and child! Hypocrisy of making American great again from Vietnam to Syria ! Let's Hope Syrian Army and Russian Army may help to stop the slaughter !
  3. Thanks. Again, if people are interested in going let me know. I will prefer to take 3 nights, Mae Hong Son and Pai are worth a looksee. And there are places near Mae Sariang to visit, if so inclined.
  4. Have to disagree with you this time. Socialism as in the British version that gave them the NHS is good, IMO. It's Communism that is the evil. NZ used to be socialist. The state owned the electric power, the post office and the post office bank, the railways and the intercity bus service etc. The country was way better back then, IMO. Then the government sold everything and it's all gone to <deleted>. Now everyone is unhappy.
  5. Time to make Erdo and Turkey the Sick Man of Europe again.

  7. This is the news to the suggested stricter measures. https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://forum.thaivisa.com/topic/1128556-strict-measures-on-using-three-toxic-pesticides-take-effect-on-oct-20/&share_tid=1128556&share_fid=29570&share_type=t Strict measures on using three toxic pesticides take effect on Oct 20 In theory a very good idea and well thought out but knowing Thailand. Nah. Doesn't work here... Same as traffic law enforcement or helmet law. Again, I feel sorry for the few farmers who applied these chemicals according to the instructions from the manufacturer. 8. A brilliant sense of words. Never have I seen such a lack of safety. Unbelievable..

  10. Ecstasy use on the rise as 28,000 pills discovered Picture: INN The secretary of the Office of the Narcotics Control Board has said that the use of the drug Ecstasy is on the rise in Thailand. Known locally as "Ya E" the colorful drug has increasingly been used by clubbers in the period from 2014 to 2019 said Niyom Termsrisuk. In addition there has been a rise in people seeking medical attention after taking the drug, he claimed. Picture: INN The comments came after the latest busts - 4,200 pills had been posted from France to Thailand by a gang of "people of color" and 24,000 came in via Suvarnabhumi airport. An unnamed woman was pictured pointing at one haul. Niyom told INN that while Ecstasy is not the most dangerous drug it nonetheless falls under the policy of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha to end the trade in narcotics. 11. As other embassies verified the income before issuing a letter, while these didn't.
  12. Off topic posts and reply to one has been removed.
  13. This says everything you need to know. What prosecutor would even investigate when the subject of the fictional coercion even states that there was no quid pro quo, no blackmail, and he felt no pressure. https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2019-10-10/ukraine-zelensky-trump-impeachment
  14. I know I certainly push the envelope when driving compered to when Mrs NL's is behind the wheel. I'll let you know how it goes after the gender reasignment.
  15. The op said no foreigners will be allowed to be director or shareholder of a Thai company. So this only applies to the poor falangs owning a bungalow, a drop in the bucket compared to foreign investment. Are existing companies grandfathered or only applies to new companies? BS. This a troll post with no facts to support such.
  16. I hate it like that. Charlie link say this problem because the woman to short.
  17. Most places in Bangkok are rented furnished. Maybe it's different for the 100k executive places though. Most Japanese executives stay around Phrom Pong, Thong Lor area, so there is a big concentration of bars and restaurants catering to Japanese in that area. In an ideal situation, you could come first for a few days. Try out a couple of places, try out the commute at the time of day that you expect you will need to do it. Check google maps at the time of day (in thailand) that you will need to commute too, travel times can change throughout the day. I live near The River and commute everyday to Ploenchit. It's about 30-40 mins on the skytrain. The River is no further from the center of town (Siam) than Thong Lor is. You will have fireworks displays outside your window every couple of weeks, and the view is great. But it is in the wrong direction for your commute.
  18. Yep. Great comparison! Because I see the Hong Kong protesters out there chopping off reporters' heads, capturing downed pilots and burning them alive in cages, etc., etc., etc.

  20. Go Thailand!!! .... Would love to see them qualify.
  21. If you can accurately tell the gender of any miscreant car or bike driver as you are busily braking or swerving to avoid them, you've missed your vocation. Considering most car windows here are tinted and a lot of the more savvy bikers have tinted-visors or full-face helmets, the most unrealistic stretch of the imagination post of the day award goes to...
  22. Charlie link say USA woman drivers worse than man. Ok Charlie find the country have woman drive kill more than man. Yinn wrong. I think USA woman drunk and drug more than Thai woman and other country. Maybe that. IMO Maybe watch Natty in Fast Furious to much. Try to copy. But Charlie link also say.... A 2004 study found almost the complete opposite, however. According to The Guardian, Scottish researchers said 94 percent of accidents causing death or bodily harm involved male drivers. Speeding drivers were found to be twice as likely to get in a car crash, and men were found then to engage in more reckless driving than women. Anyway. I want self driving computer car come quickly. More safe for everyone. Human, man and woman make mistake to much.
  23. This is a strange re-writing of recent history. The only thing little Justin fought for was protection of the Canadian dairy farmers' demands to keep the present and expensive (to the consumer) marketing system going for another generation. Trump, alas, had him beat when it came to the kerfuffle over the Huawei heiress. The Canadians knew she was on that plane....all they had to do was warn her to stay in the landing area and get a connecting flight to Mexico and the Canadians would not have had to suffer the extreme embarrassment of having the Chinese arrest two random Canadians and refuse to buy Canadian pork. Trudeau has lost the Canuck taxpayer and ordinary worker millions of dollars. Off with his head.
  24. Oh dear, who do these brexiteers really think they are fooling when they attack well respected impartial news organisations when they do not like what they say???
  25. I changed the setting on a number of friends to make them 'close friends', so I would be notified when they post. These seemed to have stopped over the past few weeks... anyone else experienced this? I have about 20 friends as 'close friends' now, do I need to reduce the number of them to get notifications again? Cheers
