Barred from Europe: 2.4m Brits caught in post-Brexit passport chaos
Red Forever replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Yeah right it's more anti-brexit propaganda from we pesky Rejoiners eh. Smugg, as Minister for Brexit benefits couldn't come up with one single such benefit. Oh hang on...."On day one of leaving EU food, clothing and footwear will immediately become cheaper". How did that work out? Little wonder that poll after poll shows that 65+% wish to rejoin EU. -
On Thursday, crusading lawyer Sittra Biebangkerd (centre left) met with Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) deputy chief Police Major General Charoonkiat Pankaew (centre right). He handed him damning information relating to illegal online gambling corruption linked with senior police officers. Mr Sittra gave the police 30 days to act on the information. In turn, he promised there is a lot more to come. In the meantime, he has threatened to take the matter to the opposition parties if Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin continues in his refusal to act on what he claims is genuine evidence of widespread corruption within the police force. Terrifying police corruption scandal unveiled. Lawyer’s shocking claims rock Thailand. Well-known lawyer Sittra Biabungkerd has alleged rampant corruption within the Royal Thai Police, implicating high-ranking officers. Allegations suggest an alternative police network generating hundreds of millions monthly from crime. Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin is now facing mounting pressure for decisive action as public alarm grows but declines to act. Thailand’s Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin refuses to take further decisive action after groundbreaking revelations emerged from crusading lawyer Sittra Biebangkerd. The claims by the lawyer, if substantiated, would mean a need for a root and branch cleanout of the Royal Thai Police. In short, the disturbing claims suggest an alternative police network within the force dedicated to generating monthly income from corruption. Mr Sittra claims that the network generates ฿100 million a month from criminal activities across the kingdom ranging from sex drugs to illegal cigarettes and of course, illegal gambling. Indeed, the disturbing nature of the allegations by Mr Sittra has, according to reports, already led to National Police Chief General Torsak Sukwimol moving to institute defamation proceedings. Revelations by an activist lawyer this week of wholesale corruption within the Royal Thai Police is putting pressure on Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin. On Tuesday, another groundbreaking press conference exposed a vast corruption network. In brief, this is alleged to be operating in parallel with the operations of the Royal Thai Police nationwide. by James Morris and Son Nguyen Full story: Thai Examiner.com 2024-03-29 - Discover how Cigna Insurance can protect you with a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment. Happy-Go-Lucky Australia Is Feeling Neither Happy, Nor Lucky

The source of the article was the NYT. what would they know about OZ. As has been stated the cost of everything has gone crazy according to friends and family back there. The current housing/rental problems are a direct result of the immigration policy. You cannot have 20000 come into the country every month and not have a problem, it is impossible to build that amount of accommodation. -

JK Rowling is such a legend, standing up for real women's rights. Scotland on the other hand has become a parody. Their latest nonsense is "The Hate Monster" creation by Police Scotland. Truly embarrassing. 😄 https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/24201997.police-stereotyping-young-working-class-men-hate-crime-campaign/ What happened to impartiality? Having this judge involved in a case on trans issues would be like having a Democrat judge involved in prosecuting Trump. Oh, wait a minute...

Don't forget: the article is OK. Austria and Australia are almost the same. Austria is a small country in the Australian Alps. -
If you are over 65 years old and do not transfer more than 500K into Thailand (Given all the allowances), then you are not required to pay tax in Thailand. In fact you do not have to register at the tax office, as they are not interested in the extra work that would generate given the number of foreigners in the country.

Another storm in a teapot. The number of passports issued before 2018 and not having sufficient validity to meet the criteria must be very small as the extra length on the passports would only be 9 months. so only people whose passports were issued in a nine month period and had the nine months added and also wish to travel to europe during a short time frame fall into this category. -
Biggest sins of book religions, must be lack of respect for gods creations, and all sins against humanity denying humans their rightfully nature, being themselves. Which on other hand creates frustration and more violent nature. Putting created fictional laws above natures (god) law! All book religions is politics to create unity, not god words!

PM Srettha: Legalise casinos to save Thailand’s economy
dinsdale replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I think you've got this wrong. They'll be there from the start and more than likely involved in the setting up and construction. Apart from that casinos are great washing machines. -
I dont pay any of the fines and have still taxed my cars without problem, that 3 different vehicles. They do better not concentrating on speed and more on just sheer fkin awful driving, tailgating, no lights, hogging the lane total lack of attention to the road, speed is the least of their worries when addressing the others would save way more lives

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
mistral53 replied to Bandersnatch's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
If they make it to Thailand, prices In Thailand will be significantly higher, because Xiaomi has no plans to build a factory in Thailand, which removes some incentives the Thai government gave companies like BYD and Deepal etc. But in China this will have an impact - in an already very crowded segment of EV models. From what I read, Xiaomi has their sights on Europe as they compare their top model with the likes of the Porsche Tycan. -

Obama, Fearing Biden Loss to Trump, Is on the Phone to Strategize

Obama can see Biden is in deep trouble. Hopefully he has the magic touch again. I'm still hugely grateful for him for his comments during Brexit which many believe got the Leave vote over the line. 😄 https://news.sky.com/story/sky-poll-obamas-eu-warning-counterproductive-10258198 Thanks again Barack. Side note ; I wonder if Joe calls him "Boy" like he does with other black males? https://nypost.com/2023/02/15/biden-refers-to-marylands-first-black-governor-as-boy-in-speech/ -
Twelve vehicles (nine automobiles and three motorcycles) were damaged by falling debris. A train stalled between stations and passengers had to exit the train and walk along the viaduct to the nearest station. https://twitter.com/i/status/1773182124503286113 It looks like a significant failure of that cable housing. I think this has happened before, maybe on the Pink Line?

Kennst Du wem der wem kennt der einen Rechtsanwalt kennt I just wrote this to a friend who lives here in Koh P’hangan. Hello, Steve, I'm here at the police station in Koh Samui, I urgently need a telephone number from a good lawyer, I'm being brought before the court today because I'm suspected of stealing a motorcycle on March 2nd, 2024. But this is a mistake! The man I bought the bike from stole it the day before. , I was already here at the police station on March 11th. during a 7 hour long interrogation. It's clear to the police that I'm innocent. This still needs to be confirmed for the court. So the court has now said that I have to be produced. That means I need a lawyer. Do you know a good one? Ask for his number and contact details. Thank you very much. Do you know who who knows who who knows a lawyer?
