I like the look of this and do like a coffee instead of alcohol for a change. I don't see this by google or on maps though, any hint? Obviously, a walk down the soi will be in the works!

Most pharmacies, even out here on the dark side have all that you have listed, local labels, US, Aus, Jap, UK whatever.

Still looking good isn't she?
If only the wife would leave me, I'm sure I would have a chance, according to all the girls on soi 6!!

Are you sure you are reading the calendar correctly? It is not that straightforward, I have done it many times and still have to be careful. Click on an appointment that is not available and the outcome can be unpredictable.
I have only ever done free appointments so not quite sure how the paid ones work.
Good luck.
Good advice, I looked at the other locations and noticed 'free' appointments and no need to pay anything more! I did not see that at the shopping centre I had been looking at, so the appointment set for Friday, thank you!

Does anyone have any contact information for any of the VFS Global offices in Bangkok? I have duly completed a UK visa application, and trying to make the VFS appointment, but I can't get the appointment confirmation.
Please not their 24/7 Customer Service Twitter page; they do not answer that!
Alternatively, if anyone knows a way to pay for an appointment, I have tried repeatedly with different credit cards from different computers and phone operating systems to no end; after inputting an OTP, the screen goes to 'white screen of death' and no further action possible. I have left it like that for more than 2 hours since they say they may need that much time to process payment, but nothing!
I was hoping to avoid need to drive into Bangkok expecting no way to get in the door without an appointment in any case.
I do appreciate anyone's advice!
This is where I have tried repeatedly:

Takes a few days in most recent report, used to be minutes.

What're another 3 to 5 years for the local businesses along this road to put up with? I'm sure they will be pleased with the islands in 2030 when it's all done in time to dig it all up again and put in bigger and more drain pipes.

I don't find entering the US any easier via LAX. Much harder with mostly customs harassing passengers but very long immigration wait, too, longer than swampy. Leaving, harassment from TSA.

the average gambler, with a million baht to lose, though this seems a bit high, was no doubt those Myanmar workers that brought most of it!

Its what eventually happens when having an affair, even after you give in and just get married.

I see 12% increase this month's bill and do observe all compressors working much harder and not able to cool to my comfort zone of 24 in the rooms I am in. Bedroom unit is getting to about 26 with unit set at 22 and much smaller home office is getting down to 24 in the mornings, but need to set at 20 to get there and at the hottest time of day, the room is closer to 25. Compressors on most of the time.

Just told the wife I will be down at Homepro for the evening looking at the hardware on display.

I have a good friend who enjoyed the bars for many years while he was single. Then later he married a good girl to settle down and have a quiet life about 6 days a week. And he still goes regularly to the bars to have fun. Until now it works, and it seems his wife decided it's better not to ask too many questions.
Same - professional guy, great Thai wife with some bar background, they get on like a house on fire with what seems to be no discussion about where he goes on his night out. Makes me think I should send my wife to work in the bar for a while.

Buyer beware, purchasing travel insurance, any cheap insurance policy as an individual, will most often not pay out per the way it is advertised. Last trip I did from Bkk to the US had a late arrival in Dubai which resulted in missed connections and very late arrival and no reimbursement, not just an inconvenience as I was travelling to meet my father before his death and he could not wait for the delays. Waste of money on that so-called travel insurance.

@jmccarty Mate, it looks like you've done what I need advice on. Sorry to bring up an old post back.
Your order from Amazon US goes above 40,000 THB as per customs. Im assuming you used Amazon global shipping program? Did you ever need to go declare the laptop yourself or did you just wake up to find it at your door step?
It was imported by the courier via AGS and they rang me 20 minutes before delivery. No customs nightmare to deal with at all.

...they mounted a "charge" on the tall, large boned man.
Off the beach with that lads, this is supposed to be a family resort area and this type of monkey business should only be done in the privacy of your home!

Hmm, that's gonna get him lost and in Rayong! Try a bolt, cheap and should get you there in one piece.

Nonsense. The import duty rate charged by the courier companies is specified by the Customs Dept and detailed on the courier's invoice to the recipient, if it's not correct it can be challenged. They do not have the authority to scam the public by charging what they want and it is ridiculous to suggest that they do.
I often get import customs duty refunds many months after purchases are delivered; these are coming from the courier. So agree with your statement. A point on computers, last laptop I ordered via Amazon from the US early this year was delivered to me here in Thailand as follows:
Item(s) Subtotal: USD 1,596.99 Shipping & Handling: USD 29.77 ----- Total before tax: USD 1,626.76 Estimated tax to be collected: USD 0.00 Import Fees Deposit USD 315.08 Grand Total: USD 1,941.84 -
This is a public policy failure that would be easy enough to fix if they really wanted to do what the public wanted versus some idealistic wanna-be better than thou in comparison to nobody!

‘Recently, three people were admitted to Siriraj Hospital after ingesting cookies which contained more tetrahydrocannabinol than what is legally allowed under Thai laws,’ Dr Chariya explained.
Hmm, maybe I will start accepting those cookies I keep getting offered on the net!

This thread seems to touch a sensitive part of obvious liberal mind-sets which it should. The world outside is not as civilized as people think and what was an error in judgement with the dance teacher would have not caused any concern for the hundreds of working girls there unless it was threatening her with physical harm (we can't see the whole story from the above). The tolerance of these working girls for being poked and prodded, and molested by would-be clients is shocking when viewed by the outside. I just don't go to the gogo scene and I would suggest you keep your wives and daughters away from there too or also end up trying to get the BIB to help you sort it out at 3am which is easy to avoid. It's not Kansas anymore!

Has anyone sold the mature trees as timber in Mindanao and regrown something else? The latex rubber price has been really low for years and thinking of putting the 5 hectare land to better use.
