  1. Red Ride Rentals does monthly rentals. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php/?id=100057207620346
  2. I would agree with the others regarding Roojai. Just go to https://www.roojai.com/en/ I have car and bike insured through them. I used them last year after a foopah in the car. By myself, my fault entirely. The claim was improved within minutes of me arriving at the garage and I had a chap with very good English phoning me asking if I was ok and whether there was anything else they could do for me. That in itself was a pleasant change.
  3. About 70k when I had one eye done. The other in Sriphat 47k. St.Peters was painless 1½ hours under local anesthetic. Sriphat was 3 hours of agony under a male doctor to the point I had broken the tape used to restrict my arms and hands. A friend had the lady doctor with no such problems. No idea why the difference. Both eyes have been good since.
  4. There is also VN Auto on the Hangdong Road nearly opposite Lotus. They do a lot of work for insurance companies.
  5. I had the eye op in Sriphat nearly a year ago because of a cataract. Nigh on perfect vision now with single focal lens, 47k Baht if I remember correctly.
  6. You mean 3M are outright lying when they say they do filter pm2.5?
  7. 3m filtrete go up to 270cm in length (Lazada). These are the ones I use and have done for years. No idea which is best but the prices can double this time of year.
  8. Perhaps one should also mention North Korea as we are on the main escape route. I presume if posted the Chinese Police would take an interest!
  9. I sent this to a friend in Canada who is married to a Hong Kong lady. This was his response... Does not boost the morale of Chinese on holiday but rather serves as a mechanism of returning them to detention on the Mainland. We have had the issue of Chinese “Police Stations” in Canada which have been used to bring “wayward” citizens home. My neighbour was Mainland Chinese and suddenly disappeared last Autumn with no notice and is now back in China. I spent last Winter shovelling his snow.
  10. Global normally has one or two smaller shredders.
  11. Red ride rentals rent by the month. American owner. https://m.facebook.com/redridethailand
  12. I have had Viofo A129s front and rear fitted in the last couple of vehicles along with a power box that keeps the camera rolling on a low frame rate whilst parked. They have wifi which may be of use whilst in discussion with local BIB as you can have instant replay on your phone. There are many comparison videos on YouTube. The Viofo usually comes off well in price v performance. Like others I had mine fitted in Amnuay Motor Air 2. 500B and about 30 minutes. There are no reflection issues with my vehicle. I purchased mine from Lazada.
  13. Cataract surgery in St. Peters is about 70k and in Sriphat around 50k. Had an eye done in each. I had single focal lenses and can read without glasses but easier with. For riding and driving excellent. Trouble is everything's so bright you need 2 pairs of sunglasses! Age wise, I'm a little senior to you.
  14. Has it done years ago in the Ram under Professor Sudhee. At the time it was waking me up every night with pains in my right hand. It took 20 minutes during which Professor Sudhee (long retired) said it was easy to see which one, he said he moved a couple of veins out of the way and one blew up like a balloon from being flat. No problems since.
  15. You can try eyekandi solar in Hangdong, they are on Facebook.
  16. I have no idea to either but I did set the pressure regulator to 3 bar which gave me good pressure everywhere and allowed multi tap use. Why has it lowered? Well, there is a noticeable drop in pressure through the night so are they saving money by shutting pumps off? Maybe that's a possibility.
  17. In Sanpakwan it started off ridiculously high, so much so I bought a pressure regulator which showed it at 4 to 5 bar. These days it struggles to get over 1. I use the tank and pump to water the garden.
  18. Yes at the airport office. The rules have been intermittent and variable for years. One day yes, one day no. Best to allow 3 weeks just in case.
  19. I asked whether I could get one quicker than 3 weeks recently. I was told no. There is no garauntee that a next day service will be available.
  20. A lot of that is contracted to China, I spent my last 5 working years running from Karratha to China. I believe Thailand imports some from Malaysia and the Mid East
  21. From a previous burning season. There have been similar readings displayed this year.
  22. They have displayed well over 800 in previous years and this year. If it's being taken on Government land you might find the garden lawn sprinklers (!) influence the readings.
