  1. Yup Fred, by whatever means we are here, by what else?. Mmmmn Is God a showoff? 😉 We can choose to give thanks for every breath we take, every view we see, to enjoy this beautiful planet, in gravity and fresh air; just two basics we can't see yet believe in, the miracle of life re babies and the love we can show to each other in our brief stopover here. Call this naive but could it auger better than some posters choose to live, love hate the thought of being God-provided? so believe what you want without irrelevant condemnations. Call it God the creator or whatever we choose, and is described well in the video "indescribable".
  2. Seems like they think they dont need to. 😛
  3. Yes cdemundo, agree, live and let live, and I wonder if if crossbones is just a little bit of a mischevious likeable character by asking here and not Googling where is a Bkk C of E.? so maybe with just their few added stirry words, do they like baiting/watching the entertaining lions to come out in this forum? 😁.
  4. Oh Scorecard thats sad to hear and is NOT what Christianity is about but was human failings and the military dictatorship. I'ts about peace patience kindness compassion forgiveness LOVE etc etc, so regardless wherever you are "at", and unlike the military chaplain, is mere forgiveness a starting point? Are the above principles worthy? Would even the venemous detractors here want it any other way? People and even religious organizations will let you down, and they did.
  5. BFC said... Christ Church at the corner of Sathorn Road and Convent Road is your best bet. Banana and custard after the service a speciality. 😉
  6. The behavour of drunks has been historicaly predictable and feel sorry for the guy, but whats with all the foreigners making mostly disruptive news in Thailand lately?
  7. What an amazing in depth study of the brain Hummin provided, but is totally unrelated to the cessation of the ovaries at menopause as per the studies in the links I provided above and it's mainly about hormonal unbalance. JingJoe.
  8. it doesnt start as a metabolism problem, the lower metabolism is a result of we move less, diet, how we use our brain, sleeping pattern, stress,,,,, https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7695180/
  9. Just the start of a huge subject and dont believe any doctor that says "Provera" is Progesterone when H.R.T. is suggested. https://www.johnleemd.com/saliva-hormone-testing.html https://www.johnleemd.com/#
  10. Not quite.. Blood tests for certain hormones are not accurate. Saliva test is preferable but theres an entrenched business system to overcome.
  11. Of the many cysts out there, I've been describing the smaller white roundish harmless "millium cysts" near my eyes and seems like in Dr Pimple Popper's videos Dr Lee doesnt hesitate to burst the sack. I wouldnt/didnt. OH well. They develop just under the outer layer of skin and can be related to moisturerisers and health issues, etc. Waiting till theyre bigger can be easier to remove.
  12. Just clarifying.. my two cysts I removed were small and white, rather round, elevated just above the skin/flesh surface, and very slow growing. No big deal at all to remove them. Very thin skin covering them and not too much effort to make that small 2 mm? max rip with the needle which healed quickly. Kept a good standard of hygene. Others here could be referring to deeper type growths? My wife had one similar closer to her eye, was cut out by a specialist who removed a biopsy margin and sent it away, an inconvenient and lengthy healing process, costly and more Baht in his pocket to excise it.
  13. I have removed 2 cysts, a bit closer to my eye than yours. Followed good advice and did this way:- a magnifying makeup mirror taped to the wall mirror, plenty of light, hygenically used needle to make small sideways slit in the thin skin down nearer the bottom of the cyst towards the facial skin. Do it shallow enough to keep away from the cyst sack. This is easier to do down there rather on the top of the cyst where its too easy to puncture it. Need to pull away and neatly break/tear the skin, not too long a slit from entry to exit of the needle. Two? mm long. Depends on its size but must accomodate the exiting cyst. As others have said, dont burst the cyst's sack otherwise will grow again. Encourage it to pop out, maybe not with the sharp point. The sack was tougher than I first thought. If it were to burst, maybe need to give it a few weeks to re-form and try again. ? Dunno. The small tear heals quite quickly. Near the eyes seem a common place for them.
  14. And a happy Holy Easter to you too. Despite whatever other crossfire may be surfacing here, Roosters and Reindeers are not the reasons for the seasons. Live and let live.
  15. On a more serious medical note... itchy anal "area" irrtations and rash can develop from natural sweating, or failure to dry after using bum gums.
  16. O.M.Goodness Kicksart that dates you. 🙂. I remember that from just after WW2 when we could barely afford the newspaper and as for a phone book, phones didnt happen for many years. and... reckon we all got a shock to first see a toilet roll in the middle of the Thai kitchen table. L.O.S. Land Of (unique) Surprises. 😏
  17. Y Didnt know about that. Yuk. You'll really need a spew bucket if watching the youtube video about "the 50 worst preachers". I dont go to churches any more but have never been so at peace or so close to the Holy Trinity. "People will let you down but Jesus wont." I wrote above:- Unfortunately, man made religions generally have caused so much division between and within:- Nations, Families and Religions. "God's love having gone walkabout" is man-made abominations you refer to and are sure off putting and to think the R.C. church believes their Pope is Gods representative here on earth. ! Oh well... Live and let live.
  18. Agree with you Lacessit, you put it all so well and our incredible God-given brain was meant to be used in "self motivation". There's been so much less-than-positive thinking in this topic, but for those who are down when times are tough, and feel there's something missing in their heart, they can choose to have the many facets of God's love there to lift them. Someone else asked "how can you believe in something you cant see"? Just drop your keys into your hand, and feel the air past your face. Belief in just 2 unseen God-given gifts we cant live without, could morph into a solid support they then dont really want to "live" without. Underpinng life's choices with part 2 of the instruction manual for life has benefitted billions of we mere humans. So be it. Mockers will cry out "crutch", but dont know what they're missing out on, and its free. Their choice. We are just a speck on this beautiful planet in this "indescribable" universe, and if it is God's? "love"? that puts us here for just 80 odd years, so be it. Live and let live, without judging. A worthy quote? :- "behold I tell you a mystery" and the 6 pages on this topic is a speck in the looong history of the mystery. P.S. I've many wonderful non-believer friends.
  19. Thoughts:- "I'd rather live my life with God and find out in the end there isnt, than live my life without God and find out in the end there is". "It doesnt cost and arm and a leg to give your heart to God with love, and you'll never be the same again" Thats not my promise but God's. What sort of a lfe lost in a wilderness do those live without at least some sort of god to guide them? A very good teacher appeared about 2000 years ago, probably the best, "to show us the way", and who would follow their own ways in preference to His? who else sets a standard for our life? well the choice is ours to go astray by not following Him, as surely is happening at every level in society AGAIN. Unfortunately, man made religions generally have caused so much division between and within:- Nations, Families and Religions. We've all heard :-"If all else fails read the instruction manual". So how about the "instruction manual for life", especially part 2? Billions have chosen it, so until something better comes along, watch that space and in the mean time live and let live.
  20. The most basic thoughts could be:- how beautiful is this "blue marble" planet, "what a wonderful world" sang Louis Armstrong, "they're only saying I love you", if everything was reduced to just one word it surely would be "love", and perhaps whatever God is, is a showoff for us to love and appreciate this one-off planet that was somehow made, we could all appreciate being here, all our needs are provided yet man has fought wars and also continued futile arguements on this forum. A simplistic view yes, and perhaps worth thinking also about that old saying:- "I shall pass through this world but once, if there be any kindness I can show or any goodness I can do , let me not tarry, let me do it now, for I shall not pass this way again". Coud aligning with some of the above musings sow a seed and lift the value of some lives into living loving caring and sharing? and it it is free.
  21. Gravity, air, electricity in wires, love, and many other things we cant see but can believe in. Food for thought? Without the "word of God" in the commonly referred-to book "the instruction manual for life" part 2 in particular, and other books that encourage us to a worthy life, where would the world be? Things were bad enough 2000 years ago, (as are again now,) when just one worthy "golden rule" surfaced:- "Do unto others as you would have them do to unto you" could make a difference again on this beautiful "blue marble planet". The mind boggles about:- the miracle of our conception, birth, body, brain power, being just the right distance from the sun not to fry or freeze etc etc etc. The incredible creator is not a "he" but if we are to believe in something invisible and good to daily give thanks to, well so be it. Each to their own, and yet feeling compassion for those in this forum filled with anger and hatred. Mmmm... "love makes the world go round" is not very scientific but worthy of imagination and fullfillment?
  22. This topic is just about dead but one thing wasnt mentioned much, except Jak reminded JingThing:- "I can only guess it's because you believe you are from Jewish race of people. But I don't think genetically there is a Jewish race...like there is African, Asian, etc." On my pilgrimage to Israel, the splendidly dressed, tall, back, lovely, Ethiopian Jews stood out, graciously walking the paths where other nationalities of the Jewish faith also walked. "The Earth is but one country" from the Bahai faith. Just threw that in to think about.
  23. I grew up in a neighbourhood with about 0.01% Russians of "Jewish faith", associated with them quite a lot, ate their special foods, celebrated occasional Friday night candle-lit dinners with yamalka (keipe) on my head and found them to be lovely people. Visited the Holy Land, was immersed in the River Jordan, walked where Jesus walked, put a small really lovely note in the Western wall for a Jewish friend, and found them also to be lovely people. Many Messianic Jews have seen "the light", mostly not so, but leave them all be, and know there's a cross section of good and bad every where. Reading between the lines, GammaGlobulin seems a decent person not appreciated by some in this forum and has bought them out of the woods with their hatred. As Ezzra said:- Dear Gamma,There's a place and time to bring certain topics up, now it's not a good time to post anything about Jews/Israel etc. Amen to that, yet there's an inescapable ongoing reality. RandiRona mentioned awards. Oh yes, some of the most clever inventions have come from Israel.
