  1. I guess it worked today finally. had to have the landlord with me, my friends wife. my friend couldn't rent me his place without a work permit, we knew that and had a backup lease, that had to be done today, so I needed an extension.

my new stamp is July 1st. they have me coming back June 30th "for the result of changing visa status"

Can I do a Vietnam or Singapore trip or am I not allowed to leave the country?

  2. They turned me down last week, told me to come back the 17th. I went back and closed holiday. went back today 18th with fresh Bangkok Bank documents and she said I needed landlord book. I have the lease agreement and copy of her ID, that wasn't good enough.

I had a copy of her book but not the page with her name I guess from what my friend is saying..

I will apply for an extension today at 1pm since my stamp is June 1st.

How many days do I need to apply for the extension on my 30-day arrival visa? June 1st is the stamp.

When you apply for the 90-day Non Imm O Visa for reason of retirement, there is no need to have the 800K seasoned for 2 months on your personal Thai bank-account,

The funds only need to be there at the MOMENT OF APPLICATION for that 90-day Non Imm O Visa.  And from what you wrote you can provide evidence that these funds originated from abroad, so you will fully meet the financial requirement.

The 2 months seasoning of those funds are only required, when you apply for your first 1-year extension of stay based on that 90-day Non Imm O Visa.  So it is just a matter of keeping the 800K on your personal Thai bank-account from the moment you applied for the 90-day Non Imm O Visa for reason of retirement, and then they will automatically be seasoned for at least 2 months when you apply for that 1-year extension in the last month of those 90 days.

Just left Jomtien Immigration, they would not let me apply for 90 day since my 800K deposit was March 17th. I arrived on May 3rd and have 2-day window May 17th or 18th to apply. So the money does need to be seasoned 2 months to apply for 90 day O

In that case you should be OK. There is no 2-month seasoning requirement for the 800k in the case of non-O visa conversions (as opposed to annual extensions of stay) for retirement.

Suggest that you obtain a statement from them itemising the overprinted transactions in your passbook. If these only date back 6 months they should be able to issue a statement on the spot. If any longer, however, they will need to obtain the statement from their Head Office, which could take several days. In this connection please don't forget that the deadline for submitting a non-O visa conversion application to Immigration will, in your case, expire on 18 May, as stated by @Red Phoenix above.

The transfers are within the last 6 months. Bangkok bank just closed here at 4pm. I wonder if I should get that statement here in Bangkok, from my actual branch before heading down? Thank you everyone for the help

No. The usual bank simply confirms sole owner of the account/type of and balance.

An official proof for foreign transfer is called a foreign exchange transaction form (FET).

If the bankbook entry clearly shows a foreign deposit the necessity might be voided.

Some of my passbook entries say FTT, when I updated some printed over so hard to read some of the deposits.

Is there anything I can do here at Bangkok Bank in Bangkok in advance or is at all just useless if a couple days old?

  6. I have AXA US Gold, says 100k coverage. I just talked to them and they said I would be covered for $100 a day for quarantine. I asked about hospitalization and that seemed to be a gray area. she said it would depend on documentation, I am supposed to get a call from an agent to clarify.

I doubt an $80 policy will pay out thousands for a hospital bill. I can afford it, just having to go without being sick doesn't settle well.

my trip is in a few days and between the awful AQI and the rising cases I may change my dates.

I was just in Swampy last week and AIS was open.  What they have on offer is waaaay overpriced.  Typical Airport ripoff.

If you can wait until you get into BKK or your destination, you can get much better prices and plans.

thanks for that. I used to just top off on arrival, never bought a SIM card there. I usually just pay the extra when travelling and buy at the airport knowing it's a bit more.

I actually read it all! Thanks for your detailed post.

I returned 6 december and most of my experience was a little different.

The pcr test at CVS was drive through and best of all Free! Notice comes email next day.

Getting thai pass very stressful! 6 hours on computer and phone calls to numbers seldom answered took 10 days. My friend who did hers on her phone in 10 minutes was approved in 6 hours!

On masks, yes you need to wear, but long meals and sleeping with blankets pulled up high. Ment that they were not so strict. In Thailand my mask has vents but they are filtered both ways. No one confronts me. The filters are 2.5 and far more effective than medical masks  On mor Chana. I had a cheap phone ready to install the program but was never asked to do so.

I booked a very good hotel so no waiting, private car waiting. Pcr test at check in. Just me. Fast service option and had result in two hours.

There are a lot of moving parts to the Thai Pass and all have to mesh. That's

    stressful. Other than that easy!

Where do you get the PM 2.5 masks? I like the vented ones.

I'll be on Delta to ICN and Korean Air 653 hope all goes well. thanks OP

    Not sure TBH.

Are the vaccine certificates standardised in the US ? I think that's the probem you guys have.

In EU there's only 1 system, in the US i've head people saying they didn't even had a QR codes, so if all the states have different certificates i think it makes it really hard for the system to be able to read it automatically.

    Exactly

Have any Americans had the automatic approval?  I think my documents are all in order, crystal clear quality, etc.  But I'm not sure the California State vaccine QR Code is readable by their systems.

I might try my health care provider's QR Code and submit again. One worry is I got my booster (3rd shot) since and it now shows up on my documentation. Just hoping that it doesn't screw things up. But I really wanted it as a further defense against actually catching COVID while there.

I think CA and a few other states use smarthealth.cards QR code - is this what you have? Mine is in the Docket app, but code is smarthealth.cards

I also got a booster 10/28, no way to remove that from the records and summit just the first two.
