  1. Hi All . I have been using the online 90 day reporting  successfully for the past few years ..  But my last attempt  this week keeps getting rejected 😞  . So I will have to bite the bullet and go to Pattaya immigration to register  and hopefully sort out this problem . My question is what is the current procedure  and paper work needed at the immigration office .. I have not done a 90 day report since all the alteration etc.? ,I don't fancy queueing  for 30minutes to be told  go to another queue .

Cheers and thx in advance 🙂 👍🙏

  2. Hi All After years of successfully registering my 90 day report (TM47) online   .This time it keeps rejecting  it  😞  ... Says "Incorrect entry date upon entry into the kingdom/ Incorrect visa expiration date."   check and re check all the info and it still keeps rejecting it ...Has anyone else had the same problem recently  ? Is it just a glitch in the system  or is it  just poor old me 😞 ? . Or will I have to  bite the bullet and go to immigration in person .to sort it out ?

    Cheers 🙂

  3. Hi all.  I am after some local knowledge about crossing the land border at Nong Khai to Vientiane (Laos) with my Thai registered motorbike ...Question. (1) what paper work do I need for myself and my bike at the Thai side and the Laos side (immigration & Customs). (2) .. what is the best time of the day to cross? (3) what price will 3rd party insurance be in Laos for my bike  (4) what is the best Sim card to  buy for coverage when traveling around Laos ?

    Many thanks in anticipation :-)

Yes mine too, and I formerly did my own registering online....but an agent said, in order to get a COR once, I needed the Soi 5 issued and stamped slip. I was told that was good forever, near as damn, or until I moved to another place. It is more recent that  I heard a TM30 is needed each time one enters the country wrt Jomtien. It was also mentioned at an Expats Club meeting I went to. I believe your 'precaution' is warranted, or get an agent to do it.

Damned fancy new building and changed procedures... they just want to hit more people with a fine is my thoughts!

just asked google this question and got this :-

Once you re-enter Thailand using your re-entry stamp, you do not need to visit your Jomtien immigration office to re-register. Your re-entry stamp will allow you to stay in Thailand for the same amount of time as your original visa, or up to 60 days, whichever is less.

If you are staying in Jomtien for less than 30 days, you do not need to register with immigration at all. However, if you are staying for longer than 30 days, you must register with your local immigration office within 24 hours of your arrival.

    Procedures for registering with immigration:

    1. Visit your local immigration office.
    2. Bring your passport, re-entry stamp, and a copy of your arrival/departure card (TM.6).
    3. Fill out a TM.30 form.
    4. Pay the registration fee (400 baht).
    5. Submit your documents to an immigration officer.
    6. You will be given a TM.7 slip, which is your proof of registration.

You must keep your TM.7 slip with you at all times while you are in Thailand. If you lose it, you can apply for a replacement at your local immigration office.

If you are staying in Jomtien for longer than 90 days, you will need to apply for a visa extension at your local immigration office before your visa expires.

Please note that these are the general procedures for registering with immigration and applying for a visa extension. There may be additional requirements depending on your nationality and type of visa. It is always best to check with the Thai embassy or consulate in your home country before you travel.

Yes I believe so, which suggests the OP needs to do a TM30 unless it will be done by his place of residence.

My place is registered under a Thai company name ... so what needs to be done??? .. My "OP" post is getting muddier muddier with each added post lol ..I think maybe  as a precaution I will go to Jomtien immigration when I return  better to be safer rather  than  sorry .

The problem is entering Cambodia where they will try and charge you 1800 b instead of 30 usd. You can politely arguecthe point with them and they usually give in but it is an unpleasant start to your holiday. I would get an E visa which is still cheaper than 1800b at 40usd. You also save having a whole page of your passport used. You can go Psar Phrum to Battambang which has no scams

I intend to use the EVisa option and also use the online option to register my motorbike for temporary import  onto Cambodia .Hopefully less hassle and less chance of being ripped off ????

The land border I'll be crossing does not issue a re entry stamp   But  you are suggesting I drive 2+hrs to the nearest international airport to get one  issued , that  is a massive waste of my time when my local immigration office is only  a 25  minute drive away .  ????

    Not  busy usually.

There is often a Khmer helper there. Handy if you haven't been there before.

They are good guys unlike at other crossings.

The Khmer immigration guys like to ask for extra fees.

If you are going beyond Koh Kong town the highway 48 is becoming two lanes. They are doing the entire highway at the same time. It has been a very wet rainy season. The road is very rough.

The road going north kind of towards Battambong is even worse.

Cheers , not looking at doing the crossing until early November ( so  hopefully dried off a bit). just assessing the best time of the day when to cross

  9. Hi All .....I need a re-entry stamp in my Passport ,, question :-  what is the best time of the day to go to the office to miss the hordes of sweaty tourist/expats ?   and how  long will it take approximately from arrival to walking  out office ?  (yes ! I know the times  will vary from day to day )

  10. I was there earlier this year  mainly rural parts of the south ..I had to go through 100's of army check points . only in a couple of areas did I feel unwelcome  and was told at the check points NOT to stop in certain villages , and getting a beer after a hot day on the  road was a bit hit and miss , but  visited some wonderful sites ????

Check out , my vid of the trip   Skip to about 1:30 mins to  miss the intro ????
