  1. Stick to the facts, long read. The school isn't cancelling your work permit. Go to /call  the labor board and register a complaint.

Highly unlikely you will be able to return to Thailand if you leave. Just a week ago a work permit in hand was the only way a foreigner would be allowed into the country. Without your current school working with your new school to transition you in country it will be impossible I believe to get a new work permit and visa.

  2. It's not only class time that has to be considered dangerous, but also travel to and from school, I work in a gov school in the country, imagine the kids packed into the van as they do twice a day for hours, and the psychological impact that everything is normal and having students drop their guard regarding social distancing. The younger Phathom grades will be virtually uncontrollable.

    Just some thoughts.

Ask your bank to printout a Tax Advise/receipt. Then you see all the transfer costs  and the rate. Kasikorn give this free en immediately

I always have my bank SCB provide the customer advice printout of an incoming transfer, it has all the details used in the transfer. As a side note it provides proof that the money was legitimate in case your ever asked about the source.

  4. 90 day online report, 1st time questions

Is it mandatory to use Internet Explorer browser,

which would mean I can't do it on my mobile?

Must filling in the information only be done within the 3 week window to be processed?

Do I need to "setup" an account first? Seems there were 4 steps on the website, I have no idea what the last 3 steps are. I filled in part/page 1, but was sent to a black page with a popup notification about visiting the imm office.

What date would my Entered Thailand date be? I'm on an extension, my original entry was 5 yrs ago, I only went out once on a re-entry permit. Should it be my original entry date or the entry date on my re-entry permit?

Must I print it out if I get the process completed, or will a screenshot as proof be ok?

    Thanks

  5. As far as your AIS number goes. You can top it up to keep the number valid up to a year. Go to 711 and use those machines outside 12 baht will credit you 10baht and extend it for a month, do that 12 times for example. Before the year is out have a friend in Thailand do the same scenario to keep it active for another year.

  6. Seen some chatter recently regarding reporting to immigration that a person has returned home after going out of the province for more than 48hrs.

So I went to my local immigration office in Mae Sai and confirmed they would like to see this activity reported.

The IO was nice enough to setup an account in my landlords name to enter the info and gave me the username and password since my landlord isn't savvy.

So I logged on and changed the password as prompted and honestly the site is not intuitive. It's mostly Thai and browser translation is poor. So... Has anyone done a walkthrough of the steps to update this info as noted above?

    Thanks

  7. End of saga story, so they were looking for current residence info, the reason most likely being that I left Thailand in March for 3 weeks to vacation in Vietnam, and my home info was never renewed or specifically restated during my 90 day reports, even tho I live in the same home. Apparently there was or might have been some error on my immigration file. All is well I redid my notification of residence papers with my landlord and submitted to the local immigration office.
