After many years of no problem, on line app REJECTED-CALL LOCAL IMM. Called Korat Imm and was advised that I must appear in person. Could not fix over phone and said they had no idea why system is not working. I have idea that Leap Year has caused problem by messing up their dates.

I had been using SCB debit card but I am closing their account because of no more online web banking.

Thanks for the first hand info. Will reactivate my Kasikorn Account to replace my SCB account. My eyesight is too bad and my fingers too fat for phone banking apps so really need online banking and Kasikorn is really good online site.

Does Kasikorn Debit card work for all Internet purchases, ie Lazada, Amazon, etc?

I buy my steaks from the wet market where they sell the beef. Thais seem to classify their beef by "soft steaks" or "tough steaks". Only by the "soft" for steaks, the hard would be for stews, etc. I think the cost has been about 270/300 baht, have the seller trim off all of the gristle and most of the fat, At home season with salt and pepper and put into a lightly greased pan. Cook to desired doneness then remove and let rest for 5 or 10 minutes. Of course, if you have time to cook it over charcoal on a grill the steak should turn out better. I cook my steaks medium-rare and don't use any bbq sauce.

My report submitted day 12 and still pending on day 17. Usually receive next day from Korat Imm but not this time. Now 90 day expired day 16 so may have to go to Imm next week.

USFCU and transfer to Thailand via WISE has worked great for me for several years now. I haven't been to the States in 30 years and had no problem opening account with SDFCU. No hassles and quick to answer questions.

I thought that the metal sheets would be screwed thru the present tiles and into the metal supports. There are no wood beams and insulation is already laid on top of the ceiling tiles.

My red tile roof is 30 years old and is need of replacing. It doesn't leak yet but the tiles are really brittle. I think I want to go with metal roof. Can the new metal roof be installed on top of the old tiles without removing them. Current tiles are fastened onto metal supports. Also can anyone recommend a metal roof brand seller/installer in the Korat/Khamthaleso area?

OK, this pretty much matches our experience so far. Will let eveyone know if all is OK when paperwork arrives. BTW, our dealer was Mitsubishi and dealer and salesman has been 10/10 so far except for no paperwork on signing. Salesman claims cameras all over so nobody can cheat. But in reality cameras are for Mitsu and not for customers.

So far everything I questioned I receive a photo from the dealer or the bank i.e. I questioned payments and bank sent a photo of the payment amount and interest rate. What this is a photo of I have no idea but it is from the bank. Strangely, the salesman called today and asked what day of the month we wanted so it would seem a "contract" has not been finalized. In the states I worked in auto finance for 20 years so this is really strange to me. Thanks everybody for the replies.

Over a week ago I went with my daughter and Son-in-law to negotiate details of a new Mitsubishi SUV. Seven years ago we bought a new Suzuki for cash. Paid the money and got bill of sale same time. Mitsu salesman and bank reps came to the house 3 times-checked birth certificate, land papers, id cards, SIL 6 month pay stubs, etc. Finally yesterday went to finalize deal as loan approved and car ready. I didn't go as only daughter and SIL were on loan. I just told them to make sure loan rate and monthly payments were as agreed. When they arrived home they had the SUV but no receipt of 350K down payment, no contract, no bill of sale. No paperwork at all. Salesman claimed all paperwork would be sent and received in 2 to 4 weeks. I didn't go for this but everybody told me this was how it was done in Thailand. Mitsu annd bank people explained that everything was video taped so now problem. So question to others-Is this their experience when they bought new car?

Last month Krungsri deducted tax first time, never got a chance to go to bank to correct or find out the problem. But just checked and NO TAX deducted end of July.

No, it is just that I worked in banking for 25 years and have never seen anything like Thailand banks and their paperwork. They seem to trust no one and require so much paperwork that there is no way a supervisor will be able to check so it defeats the purpose.

July 2021 I went to Krungsri Bank Korat and presented my tax ID number and they stopped WH tax. All was good until June 2022 when they started WH tax again. I know the 20,000 baht rule but it does not apply to me. Last week I went to Mall branch to get Bank letter for retirement visa and had to sign my name over 20 times, never had to do that before.

Finally replaced toilet this year. Installers used cement grout to install Thai way. New toilet had strong flush and broke the cement seal. Ordered American Standard Flange and Fluidmaster seal(reusable no wax) from Lazada. Son in law and myself removed toilet, cleaned mess and installed toilet with flange. Should have done years ago. Just look at some of the YouTube videos and you can't go wrong.
