60 odd years of age and attacked from behind what a cowardly way to attack a person of that age . Here is hoping the victim will survive and recover to full health but a 13 hour brain operation is not looking good . I hope they have apprehended the coward who did this attacks and send him to the Bangkok Hilton for a long stay !

Are they able to do diffucult surgery like this in Hua Hin? What hospital would that be?

  2. Otherwise here is a good webpage were you can buy activation keys very cheap and full legit. The only is there is no support from Microsoft for this keys. But who needs that?

I know a lot of Thai women suffer from hair loss, especially as they get older. My partner is now 60 and is getting quite thin on top and wonders if anything can be done or just accept the inevitable? I feel really sorry for her as hair loss is probably more traumatic for a woman than a man. This is not funny, so respectful replies please.

Sometimes it is an underlaying cause. My wife who is a hairdresser helped a neighbor by telling her that she must take care of her diabetes and also sleeping habits and that helped. She dont have thin hair anymore. It look normal. And she feels better too from taking good care of the diabetes.

Interesting post as I was going to ask what system would people recommend.  The website you posted is in Thai but Im not to sure if they can help with my Toyota being 2009 model.  I also couldnt see any info about price so I will let my gf take a look at it as she is thai.

The only other place I have come across so far that offers this service is this place:-

    https://www.facebook.com/bigasth/

It looks like a quality installation place and the price isnt too bad approx 40,000 baht, the local thai mechanic quoted a price of around 30,000 baht but I dont know what equipment they would use.  I will welcome any views, opinioons or insights

    Cheers

I did a lot or research about 15 years ago and ended up with Prins. That time it was the best brand. Also used in Europe a lot. Don´t believe in what they are saying here about burning walves etc etc. If that shoult happen then there is something wrong with the equipment. And not forget to drive with Benzine every fourth or fifth tank in order to grease the engine. And preferable with the highest octane you can find. Higher octane means more lead and that means better grease. But your FB page looks good as well. Be sure they are mounting an European equipment. They have probably different brands same as the Prins garage had that time. Better pay more and get good quality. One more thing. You must change the filter as saying in the manual. Many thais try to save money on that and in the end they get problem. That is not were you want to save money. Good luck!

I think you may find quite a few 'converted' cars are already out there, so no doubt it can be done.

BIL has a 2.4 camry on lpg.  Nice car and smooth to drive... Just wish he'd dump the oversized muffler/exhaust system he has on it.  Too bloody loud.

As for economy?  Well he's a bit tight so I'd say it's better than petrol ie cheaper to run.  As long as you've got lpg refill stations in your area.

And much better for the environmental. Much cleaner than benzine or diesel. I can recommend the brand Prins from Nedherland. More expensive but good quality. Otherwise there are systems from Italy, Hungary, India etc..

Any sensible country would apply strict vehicle safety inspections, limit driver hours, enhance driver training and licensing, design safer roads and enforce all the rules. They would also hold highly accountable the corporation and their executives or insurers. But not Thailand. So sad for the unnecessary loss of life and suffering. Life is way too cheap here and some on this forum think it funny. Clearly they haven't suffered personal tragedy of a loved one or head of the family. Shame.

It is recommnded if you are 50+ years old,  to prevent colon cancer, so doctors will recommend to have it done.

I had it done at Bumrungrad Hospital, Easy procedure,  a few hours,  they will give you some  kind of laxative at the hospital to help empty the bowels,  you go home the same day.  Procedure bit uncomfortable but I think worth it, as can prevent you getting cancer.

What was the cost for it? And what deoartment to go there?

It depends on your age or on your symptoms.

I am 33, and just done a colonoscopy two months ago because I was having rectal pain. All the process was perfect, just like the nurses and doctors. The price was around 8.000 baht.

(Don't worry, nobody will makes jokes of you)

What hospital was that? In Bangkok? What department is correct to visit for doing this?

Maybe the reason for less tourists is about the bad air quality and nothing else? The elephant in the room...

As far as I know, they are both only available privately at the moment. (I'd love to be corrected if that is no longer the case.)

    Shingrix
    Medconsult: 5,590 x 2
Thai Travel Clinic: 5,199 x 2 (but by the time you add hospital/doctor fees, it's practically the same price as Medconsult)
    Medpark Hospital: 16,800 total
    Bumrungrad: 15,000 (+ fees)

    Qdenga
    Thai Travel Clinic: 1,639 x 2 (+ fees)
    Bangkok Hospital: 5,000 total
    Thainakarin Hospital: 4,500 total
    Bumrungrad: 4,800 (+ fees)
    Samitivej Sukhumvit: 4,200 (+ fees)
    Sikarin: 3,900 (+ fees)

These were from 2 or 3 months ago, but I doubt it's changed much.

I got Shingrix at Medconsult and Qdenga at Samitivej.

The cheapest option I found would be to get them at the same time (one set of fees for each visit) at Thai Travel Clinic, but it's inconvenient for me to get there. I asked them about getting them at the same time, and they said it would probably be OK because Shingrix is inactive and Qdenga is live attenuated, so they would just be given one in each arm. But you have to have a doctor's appointment first, and it will be their decision. (It's also their decision whether to give them at all.) You can arrange the doctor's appointment by teleconsult in advance or in person on the day.

Thank you very much! I think you got it all there and I can stop search on internet. I found this Thai Travel Clinic as well when I googled. I will check where this hospitals are located compared to where I stay in Bangkok and chose considering both price and location.

    Thanks again, very appreciated!

  12. Hi, I am considering this vaccines (QDenga and Shingrix) and I wonder where to get those in Bangkok for the best price. I have read some here that people have taken those but unfortunately I have not seen any prices. Is it better to go to a governmental hospital or a small clinic for example. I looked when googling that they are both expensive.

Also can I take both at once?

    Thanks

UDON THANI (NNT) - Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, accompanied by Minister of Defense Sutin Klungsang, has led a ceremony in Nong Wua So district, Udon Thani province, to distribute land lease agreements for state properties. The agreements, part of the "Nong Wua So Model" project, allow local residents to legalize their residence on state land and enable these leases to serve as collateral for loans, thus supporting their livelihoods.

The event held at the field outside the Nong Wua So District Office resulted in 434 people receiving lease agreements. This action stems from a Cabinet resolution on September 26, 2023, endorsing the examination and precise distribution of state lands managed by the military but not in use to allow the public, especially for farming purposes, access to these lands.

The "Nong Wua So Model" is part of a broader effort by the government to address housing and agricultural issues, seeking to reduce social disparities and enhance the quality of life for the citizens. The project involves surveying and mapping state lands used by the military, such as artillery practice fields, to identify areas that can be leased to the public for residential and agricultural purposes.

A total of 901 cases involving 1,386 plots were processed for verification and boundary demarcation, with 871 cases and 1,341 plots successfully integrated into the project. The rental rates were set to accommodate both residential and agricultural uses, with special rates designed to make land access affordable.

To date, 434 lease agreements covering 584 plots have been completed under the project, supporting both the living and farming needs of the local population in Udon Thani province.

Was there any talk about not burning at the same occasion? Or is that to much at once?

Air purifiers don't need to run 24/7. If you get Xiaomi (I have these so I'm confident, but I would bet some others have the same), they are Wifi connected and controlled from mobile phone. On the phone, you can select schedule, and if you take whole home automation set, with air quality sensors, you can make even a lot more detailed automation of when to run, like when you're on the way home, turn it on 30 minutes before you arrive, etc.

I have one air purifier in each room. Set the bedroom ones to work overnight, and living/working room ones to work over the daytime but turn off at night. That can be easily overridden if pollution outside is really bad and a single air purifier can't handle it by simply turning others on by app or touch button on the box.

I prefer Xiaomi not only because they are cheap, but because they have air quality sensors and display with current information, can be controlled from phone, and have easily obtainable filter cartridges which cost about 800-900 baht each and last (in my case) about 9 months with schedule enabled, or about 6 months if running 24/7.

One word of caution with XIaomi - they have global and China versions. They use different cloud locations. So if you have China version, all is in Chinese and App has to be set to mainland China. I have all items Global versions, so I can control them all from same app. You'd need 2 phones if you had a mix. Chinese versions are usually a little cheaper than Global version.

Were are the sensors located? Are they not inside the air purifier? Maybe close to the inlet or outlet? It would be more interesting to have it away from the purifier. For example in the middle of the room in order to get a correct value. Or am I wrong about that?
