  1. If you are lucky enough to have a Kasikorn Bank account it is simple. Download Kplus app to your mobile and you are set to go. Wait 24 hours after your meter has been read. open the app and click on PAYMENT. Enter your pin number. Go to top of page on the left click on back arrow...this takes you back to the first page. At the bottom of the page there's 5 choices in a row click SCAN. Scan the qr (that's the square right of the bar code) you bill details and the amount will pop up...proceed to pay and your done.
  2. Bangkok Bank is the retail bank leader with over 17 million customer accounts but they don't have the PEA on their app so customers can easily pay their electricity.......Would Ricky Gervais have a field day with that or what?😆😆😆😆
  3. I live 120km from the nearest Immigration office and 3 hours driving and an hours flight from Bangkok. I recently applied for a yellow book. Took along my landlady her daughter. Lease passport translated by a notary. Wasn't good enough I was told you must get the British Embassy to stamp it. Nevermind I have been doing 90 day reports had letters from immigration who knows exactly where I am it has to be the Embassy who don't know Diddly squat about where I live. So I have to drive 120km to Udon Airport fly to the new airport get a taxi to and pay for a hotel etc etc...how messed up in the head are these peop
  4. I live in Sakon Nakhon and they refused me a Yellow Book insisting I get a translated copy of my passport stamped by the British Embassy. I had a copy stamped by a BKK notary but that wasn't good enough..........a total nonsense they expect me at 75 years of age to go 1400 km round trip to BKK and back never mind the expense.
  5. I have a galaxy a9 android 8...........are the bank going to buy me a new phone....No? Didn't think so. I am in one of the MEA areas when I log in on my PC there is no facility to pay my Electric with Kbiz. I also have K+ on my phone which does have the MEA facility but every time I try to pay I get the message...we can not bla bla at this time please try later. My BKK bank account also does not have an online facility for PEA which covers 85% plus of Thai users. Nearest 7/11 and atm 20km away
  6. I have been doing my 90days report on line for about 2 years......never had one problem
  7. When in Rome and all that but when you consider Miss Thailand World and Miss World are shown on Thai TV and millions see women in revealing Swimsuits V a dozen people or so seeing a couple of girls in bikinis in a park it really seems a bit crazy to outsiders
  8. Compassion from some of this lot? You got to be joking they are the mostly an uncaring crowd with nothing to add but snide comments.
  9. Well thank God we never got married Thailand is mad with red tape and the longer you are here the worse it seems to get. I bought a motorcycle recently. To put it in my own name I had to travel a 240 km round trip to get proof of address letter from immigration. Then I had to take the bike on a 200 round trip to tax it as the only place in our province is te DLT. I decided I should apply for a yellow tabien baan to save any future journeys to immigration when I renew my licences buy a new car or whatever, I rent a property so I went to the Tesseban armed with my lease, my landlord and landlady as witnesses. photographs copy of my passport my 90 day report my retirement visa all in order. A certified translated copy of paasport and birth certificate from a Notary lawyer all stamped in living colour. No problem I thought..........how wrong was I. The officer took one look and said you have to go to Bangkok and get your embassy to stamp you passport and birth certificate translations. Considering I have a medical condition and flying is not advised I would have to make a 1,700 km round trip to BKK and back...plus fork out how much cash for fares and a hotel. Never mind immigation know exactly where you are, everything about you is up to date your landlord has shown his blue book and confirmed he has known you for over 12 years None of that matters but you need those 2 embassy stamps. When I read other people saying they didn't need them and they got their yellow book with no hassle it makes me cringe.
  10. So incredibly typical of Farang slagging where it's uncalled for. I have been doing 90 day reprts on line for the last couple of years and they are ultra efficient. They send me an email reminder I go to there site 2 days before I am due they email me back immediately saying they have received my application and 24 to 36 hours later they send me my new 90 day report.......no glitches no problem easy as pie.
  11. Has anyone any idea that these are. I have a spare room which is empty and these have appeared in their thousands. I swept them up and threw them out but 2 days later thousands more appeared so after cleaning them out is sprayed the entire room with insect killer but two days later they are back again.
  12. This was a long time ago probably around 2004. I had gone to soi cowboy where i was very regular and had been drinking draft Chang in the small bar next to Afterskool which I now know was a crazy thing to do back then as it could be just about any strength, I had just ben paid for a job I had done and had around 25,000 baht in my wallet. I was in Joes Bar by memory which is no longer there as Sammy died, apparently I was drunk as a skunk, left there and went to the open air bar at the start of cowboy on the 23 side. Started taking all my clothes of and was trying to go to my bed which was actually the bar floor I am told. I had never been that drunk in my life before and always knew what I was doing. Somehow I got home and when I woke up the next morning my wallet and my watch had gone. The following evening I went back to Cowboy and was walking down the soi heading to Tilac when someone called out my name........it was the mama san from a bar I had been in earlier. She told me that I had gone to the open air bar and was trying to go to sleep etc so she took my wallet and watch in case someone robbed me and paid a motorcycle guy to take me home which was in Baan Suksan Soi 23 at the time. Not one baht was missing and I offered her 5k but she wouldn't take it........she accepted 500 baht and a couple of drinks........Another time I had dropped my wallet in the lift iof my condo and the lady on the 4th floor had found it and gave it back to me untouched......I have found most Thai's to be very honest people
  13. When we get angry after eading things like Hamas gunning down innnocent people we call them animals. That's what we are dealing with here. They don't act like you and they don't think like you and one instance can turm the family pet into a killer especially with the breeds mentioned. I am anti Doberman Pincher Rottweillers etc etc ever since I read a story and about a 12 year old girl and the families loving rottweiler. of many years Playing alone by a nearby pond the girl had her first period Her dog smelling the blood went into a frenzy and tore the child to shreds and killed her. I'd defy anyone who says my dog wouldn't do that..your dog is an animal and at anytime logic goes out the window and nature can take over
  14. You will of course have the halfwit owners that believe their dog would never do that.......maybe not to him her but to a stranger the risk is too much to let anyone own them as pets. The choices in my opinion are cage them like you would a tiger or make soup out of them..They are not pets they are killers as are a few other breeds but that's for another day.
  15. This is nothing unusual and often not what it seems. The Chinese have been buying 100"s of condos in one go as they come on the market or from plan in come cases. This is why at night hardly any lights can be seen in Condos where the owner says ther'e none left for sale, The Chinese sit on them EMPTY until completion date or longer then resell them to you at the new market price. This has been going on since I started a Real Estate company 25 years ago on Sukhumvit
  16. I renewed my UK passport in July a year ahead of time. They didn't run the new one from when my old one expires but from the date they received it. That was not made clear to me so In affect I got 9 tears instead of 10. Such is life but my QUESTION now is:- my retirement visa is due for renewal mid mid January 2024 but I was thinking about going to immigration mid December 2023. If I do go in December is it the same as the passport?.............would my new visa run from December or when the old one runs out in January
  17. They did on December 5, 1933. which saw the end a crime wave like no other during prohibition.. Thailand are just slow in catching on
  18. Stupid is as Stupid does......arguing with a TUK TUK driver over 100 baht..the guy must be mad
  19. as long as their earnings are dependent on how many deliveries they do in a day and tips there is no way anything will change
  20. Exactly who are they? You'd be as well saying every racehorse is grey. Tarring everyone with the same brush is just opening ones mouth and letting their belly's rumble.
  21. Post on this are so boringly predictable: corruption, brown envelopes, tarring every policeman in Thailand with the same brush. Bla Bla Bla
  22. How I see this and I am guessing: There's no way other police accuse a Police General in public of anything without hard evidence.....if they did their career/s would be over. This leads me to believe he's been up to some hokey pokey
  23. MY own situation is my UK passport expires in June 2024 but I already applied for and have a new passport. {Incidentally when you apply a year early like I did it runs 23 to 33 so you lose a year} My current retirement visa runs out in Jan 2024. I have to visit Immigration for a proof of address to register a motorcycle for DLT. Is it likely they will transfer my visa at the same time or do I have to wait till my next visa in January.
  24. Around where I live and it's not a big place there's about 25 guys seperated from their gf/wives. To be honest most of them would argue with their own shadow and appear to me as they would be impossible to live with. Ages vary but most of the women involved in these relationships would be 40 to 50 and the men around 60. However I have a couple of other friends still with their wives and they are around 70 and the wife not yet 40 and they seem very happy....never see one without the other. If the question is have rellationships between a couple withan age difference of 20 or even 30 years more likely to fail I would have to say no. As long as their are no finacial problems and they guy has a good heart and has grown out of his Peter Pan trousers they are very likely to survive.
