Buriram celebrates BLACKPINK Lisa’s 27th birthday
couchpotato replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
You seem upset (or perhaps jealous) that your wife likes Lalisa, who yes is very rich (but came from the backwoods to achieve this), lives mostly in Korea due to Blackpink's Agency, is admired in many countries, has broken many Insta/Spotify records, supposedly has a boyfriend from one of the richest families in the world, is great for Thailand's 'soft-power' and she has many years to achieve more. Go Lisa...HBD🎁 I like your wife's thinking..good for her. -

Sorry not those twins. I was talking about the famous dancer twins who featured in the 'Deer Hunter' movie. -
It was Butterfly bar/resort/st rooms out on SiamCC road. Not owned by an expat oil worker. It was owned by a German guy who was well connected in those days (90's). The resort rooms are still there, but run down and the 2 bar buildings are shuttered. Before it was a dead end road, now there is a moobaan at the end of the road. Funnily enough the original sign is still on the pole on SCC road.

Yes indeed. He was actually with 2 bars during his Patpong tenure, then he opened another place (it was either Soi 4 or a new bar soi across Silom..memory fails) He was also a hasher (hash House harriers) with the hash name of Noriega. I also believe he was burmese heritage, not Thai. -
That certainly helps the OP who is looking for pattaya info.

Now you know. -
"seems pretty pedestrian for someone living in thailand" Absolutely...Stickmans column is just tripe, nothing of substance and of course these days written from 10,000 kms away, so has to write on hearsay. Trinks Friday column was walking the beat type of stuff, and really liked by the guys around the scene in those days.

Old Bernie must have done something right, we're still talking and discussing about him 50 years later. And liked or not, he was a character in a time very different from now. I enjoyed my chats with him.

beg to differ.......Actually his column was the prelim to the bar social media stuff these days (and one or two other sites of distinction) that gives the people that want to know, all the info they need. I would come back to my Silom Road apartment after a few weeks of work and my maid had keep all the Friday editions for me..good reading if you were in that scene. He came into my bar in Patpong (Pitstop bar) every 2-3 weeks in the mid/late 70's and would chat for a while (have a soda) take a few lady pics and wander off to his next bar..never found out if the pendant was gold..probably not. Yes he was a character, that's for sure.

Thank you for your insight..enlightening🤨

Oh dear--a misogynist in our midst. I'd rather have a female pilot (or any pilot for that matter) than read ignorant posts like this.

Chiang Mai Immigration Requiring Your Monthly Income?
couchpotato replied to jeffandgop's topic in Chiang Mai
Rubbish. -
Stories don't really matter anymore. The videos have have put them in a very tight spot....doesn't matter what our views are. They are now in the cells without bail. The Court will fine them heavily plus compensation for the policemans anxiety (sic). Then into the Immigration cells and deported/blacklisted. The story has been covered extensively in NZ, so I'm sure their homecoming won't be very pretty with their families.

That is so interesting and relevant...not!
