  1. There is a 18 hole course on the air base. No carts as of yet, but they are working on paths now. There is an 9 hole course on the Warin Army Camp in Warin, 15*12'06.35"N, 104*52'07"E. The 9 hole course at the intersection of 231, Ring Rd. and 226, Sisaket Hwy is a par 3 course with one or two par 4s. Have not played there. A group of Expats play every Tuesday at Warin Army Camp with a tee off time of between 06:30 and 07:00 am. We play Thursday's at the air base with the same tee times. Come join us. Getting onto Warin Army Camp is not difficult. Most of the time the guards just wave you through. At the gates of the air base they will most likely stop you and ask where you are going. Just tell them that you are going to play golf. Bi len golf, khrap. They may ask to hold your drivers license or some ID until you leave the base. Entering the main gate just follow the road until you see the course on your left and make the left turn just down the road. There are 3 gates to the base. You can use either one.

  3. I just called the VA about A month ago.If you live so far away from A VA clinic you can go to A doctor in your area. They took my

Info.Said they would call me in A week or so and send me forms to fill out.It never happened.

Also the person I talked to she didn't know if she was coming or going.

What was your question to the VA? If you live outside the US, your service connected (VA Disability) is covered by the Foreign Medical Program (FMP). To have them pay for your VA disabilities, you must register with them. If you need the form or more answers PM me.

Learning about and applying for VA benefits shouldn’t be complicated for Veterans and their families. That’s why we improved Explore.VA.gov, the website that makes it easy to see all the benefits that VA has to offer to help Veterans buy homes, earn degrees, start careers, stay healthy, and do so much more after service.

Here’s what Veterans will find at Explore.VA.gov:

check.png An intuitive website design for seamless navigation of nine VA benefit areas. check.png A Benefits Navigator to learn in minutes which benefits they may be eligible for. check.png A video gallery featuring overviews of VA benefits and stories of how Veterans successfully used VA benefits. check.png A centralized location to receive VA application assistance and forms. check.png A social media hub with VA benefits information that can be shared with friends, family members, and social networks. check.png A page to sign up for upcoming online events about benefits and to get other informational materials.

Simplifying benefits information through #ExploreVA is part of VA’s ongoing effort to improve the delivery of services and foster excellence in everything we do on behalf of Veterans and their families. #ExploreVA today to learn more and apply.

  6. Thanks for posting.

What is the social security service mentioned? I thought me just email an address change to the embassy in Manila?

If you have questions at the out reach event about the VA or Social Security Benefits, they can get you the answer. You are right, it is best to email any and all questions and requests to Manila at [email protected]. They prefer a email over a phone call. With a email they can keep track of it easier than a phone call. My experience with SSA in Manila has been outstanding. Good response time and if they need to talk to you they will call or email you.

Thai Immigration’s Enforcement of Thai Visa Exemption Policy

    July 7, 2014

U.S. citizens are reminded that Thailand immigration laws require visitors to remain in the proper visa status. U.S. citizen tourists traveling to Thailand are eligible to enter Thailand without a visa and stay for 30 days under the Thai visa exemption policy if they are able to show an onward/return ticket and possess a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond their date of entry into Thailand.

The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed us that Thai Immigration will enforce existing foreign entry regulations and step up efforts to prevent abuse of the 30-day visa exemption policy for tourism granted to some foreigners, including U.S. citizens. Thai immigration authorities will review carefully travelers who have received permission to stay for 30 days through the visa exemption policy, and who subsequently seek to reenter Thailand repeatedly for an additional 30 days under the same program. If immigration officials perceive that individuals are entering Thailand to reside for an extended time or indefinitely, rather than seeking entry for tourism, such individuals may be denied re-entry. If so, they will be referred to a Royal Thai Embassy outside of Thailand to apply for a regular Thai visa before seeking to enter Thailand again. The U.S. Embassy and Consulate are not able to intervene with Thai Immigration or the airlines regarding their regulations and policies on behalf of a U.S. citizen who is denied re-entry.

U.S. long-term tourists and business travelers should check with the Royal Thai Embassy about Thailand’s visa requirements. Additional information is available at the Department of State’s Country Specific Information for Thailand at http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/english/country/thailand.html.

Glad to see you got your posters up in so many places. I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say we're happy to help get the word out. It was great having you and the whole crew over on Friday.

    ~Brent

Your are so right Brent. I apologize and will have to make it up to you somehow. The place I forgot was the Outside Inn, run by Brent, his lovely wife and the crew that makes the evenings enjoyable. If you want some good food, stop by and have a bite.
