Not helpful as I did that we don't all need to be spoon feed. But I'm informed they have moved and guess what Google isn't aware of that.

They are based in the new buss station off the highway. 2 story building at the front. Go up the  steps to floor 1 and they are there. Well signed  across the floor outside. My experience is the 30 days.

  2. Banks do not work for you any more. They now make the rules to suit them selves. They look at things and if they can save any thing that's it.

I have been with SCB for 15 yrs. I find them very good out of them all. They could improve the service in all the branches to employ an English speaking person. Pay them a little more.

I just found out today when I updated my account for my monthly interest payments and found that tge government started a new tax in May. Before, if you received 20,000 baht in a year you get taxed on anything above the 20k. Now they tax you 15% each month on your interest earnings.

Not to bad when I think about it. In New Zealand I get taxed 19.5% each month in my interest earnings. i get 3.25% interest. Per month.

  3. I did a 12 month Non O retirement visa at my ocal Khon Kaen imigratio.

I needed the 809k in bank for 3 months before application. I need to get another 90 day stamp on 12 July I went to the imigration yesterday to ask when I could take 400k out, they said I could take it out 3 months after my 90 day stamp on 12 July, so the 809k has to be in the bank account untill 12 October. So 800k has to be in your account for 6 months out of the 12 month retirement visa.

When I go for my new 12 month retirement visa I have to have the 800k in my bank account for 3 months before application so in a sense we have to have 800k in for 9 months in total out of the 12 month visa.

So, 800k in the bank for 3 months before you apply. On your first 90 day stamp you cannot touch your money. On your 2nd 90 day stamp you have to have your bank account updated so they can see you have had the 800k in the bank for the 3 months after your  1st 90 day stamp. And then you cannot take any money out for a further 3 months. Then you can take 400k out only.

After your 3rd 90 days are up you have to put 400k back in your account to have 800k in your back prior to applying for a new 12 month retirement visa.

hope you can understand this. Gave me a headache.

  4. Well your survey is a waste of time. Many health checks by departments checking the amount of poison land chemicals in the air, are well over the international safety allowences, in the food and water. Even bottled water.

And your Organic stuff. Last year a university did a test. They pur chest organic registered products from supermarkets they were all over the readings, NOT ORGANIC. They did markets also.

go onto YouTube type in your problem so many natural cures for breathing, diabetes, cleaning you arteries. I have been on one for 6 weeks and feel such a difference. My feet are not as cold and sore, I got more circulating, my Diebitis count is right down, now 5.6 -7.5 every morning.

  5. Well it looks like his visa has expired. Try going to the imigration office and insist on seeing the highest officer.

Ask him straight to his face can he help without asking for lots to f money before you travel to Bangkok and make an appointment with the New Imigration General.

you want the imigration to refuse granting him another 90 day visa and give the instructions he must leave Thailand for his home

    country.

Be very carefull, you CANNOT TRUST anyone here. Not even your self at times or any so called lawyers. They all want money, money, money.

    best of luck.

  6. I just applied this year for Marageb visa but the top guy in the Khon Kaen office said he will,do a 12 month retirement as it is easyer to get but need 800k not the 400k. I got it on 19 April. He said I cannot tourch any of the 800k. Never told me how long for.

ibwent back the other day and very friendly lady Sarg Major seen me. I had 900k in the account I asked if I could take 100k out she said yes.

am still not sure but she said after the 2nd 90 day stamp I could only take out 400k. And next your top it up to 800k 3 months before new application.

It seems that the 800k must be in the bank 2 months before you make the application, then it has to stay in the account for 3 more months afterwards. Then you can take up to 400k out but the other 400k has to stay in the account.

So now you basically have 400k permanently locked in, unless you want to risk being denied an Extension when you go to renew it next year.

Funny how this only applies to people doing "Retirement" extensions using the "money in bank" method.

I guess Immigration is getting fed up with all the people bragging about how they get around the rules using "agents".

You are 100% correct. Yesterday I went to my local office to find out how long the 800k  has to be in and when I can use some. She explained all you have said.

    it has sorted me out.

  8. Hi Guys

Sorry if I am bit dumb on this. I am in Khon Kaen and just got my fist Non-Immigrant Visa/Retirement.

i have the 800k in the bank but I need to use some of it to live and pay bills.

when I need to go back to my  local Khon Kaen immigration office for the next 90 day stamp, do I need to keep showing 800k in the bank.

    Cheers

  9. Yes. Most every country in the world have a general government postal department that have an agreement. Postage paid on an envelope is just like a stamp. You go into a post office and you can buy a postage pain envelop, International or domestic. Different destination countries different post office prices. Similar to when you get a letter from your bank, it is post paid with a bank stamp which has a code or number on it. The bank has to pay the post office a fee like invoice.

overseas post office departments invoice the country where it was posted from. Like the UK postal services, all letters etc are scanned   For destination and the computer has recorded the amount the UK postal service has to pay the airline if air mail and the amount it has to pay the overseas country for delivering it.

  10. Not sure if I am right, but, you only have funds for flight out.

Mybe some of the other guys would know.

How about getting stopped or go to the immigration up your way. Explain your situation, your wife died. They will arrest you for overstay and start the process to deport you.. Pay the 20k  help get your embassy doc.

And free ride to the airport. Straight through the imigration counter.

  11. It is getting quite common around the world. The store gets charged the fee. American Express can charge up to 3+% to the retailer. Visa, I believe charges the lowest.

Many retailers charge the customers. I am from New Zealand and one of the largest travel agents Flight Centre charge customers 2-3% if they pay by  credit cards. If you complain they just act like Take it or leave it.

  12. So much easyer to go the airport and go to immigration desk and report your overstay. at Suvanabum they are very helpful but I would be nervous at the other BBK airport. I would personally do a border run if it the other airport.

Last time I left from Suvanabum I was 7 days over, just informed the immigration and I had to go to the office after I went through and given the invoice to pay 3,500 and off I went. Came back 3 months later, no probs.

Thanks @kenk24. I do have an attorney in the states working on this, but Thai attorneys generally take HALF, from what I hear. That would be tragic, not to mention that bills need to be paid now. ????

You never mentioned what part in Thailand. I am in Khon Kaen and have a good Aussie PHD Dr friend who is married to a top lawyer who also does work for the Government, she is very good. I would say, you do need to pass this on, I don't like your comment when you say the head of the family will not help you, (refuses to sign something) Their whole village will know and they will all be telling him to do this, do that etc. They listen to others. He knows they have his money etc. Get your expenses out and go live in peace. The Thai family will come to you.

  14. Hi Guys, if you can help me please. I am 76 married to Thai lady for 11 years. Live in village close to Khon Kaen. We have had house here for 10 yrs. I have a yellow book. I am from New Zealand. I have a company business in NZ which I have handed over to my son. I am a member in the APEC system and I never need a visa. I can come many times and I automatically get 90 days. If I am here more than 90 days I drive up to Laos border Nong Kai and get another 90 days,

i go back to NZ 3 times a year to see my family. I would like to apply for marriage visa. What do you think. I have 4 years validity left on my APEC card which will make me 80 and I do Bt I kill be given a new one at this age. They are issued if you have a trading company that does any business with any of the 22 Asia pacific members. I can go into all these countries and get 90 days stay. I have no problem with the money in Thai Bank. I am well known and liked in the village.. I just think it is about time I got the visa.

    what you think.??

  15. You  have to declare any money in excess of Us$20,000. You can take much more in just declare it at the red channel. They take you into a side office and fill a small form out, they give you a copy and off you go. Done it a few times. Not problems or HASTLE. Have always been treated very friendly. I did not have to show them the money eather. If you bring a lot in I would suggest you have a bank document to show you withdrew it from your account.

  16. Well, you surprise me. Young guy like you. Thailand is not an easy country to live in. Far to many rules ect for foreigners. You would have a great deal of trouble living there regarding visas. There really is no way for you to legally live there. The police and  imagination will not leave you in peace, you will need to expect to give a lot of money for them to leave you alone. You would be far better to live in Vietnam or Cambodia,

    more freedom and cheaper.

I would seriously forget Thailand Man.
