Before it depended upon the embassy or consulate where you applied at. Many wanted the same proof that is on the e visa site.

The new thing is the 12 months of travel records since the started the stickerless visa.

Some embassies and official consulates are not using the e visa site yet.

I didnt need any plane ticket or proof  of  address in embassy

If you have not traveled abroad in the past 12 months what do you upload to that section for Tourist visa? Also can you submit a hotel booking for say your first week only ( at some random hotel) then perhaps change your mind after a later date but before arriving and that's okay?. In the past any initial booking, say for one week only, was always accepted ( at least with NYC consulate). Also this booking would have to be separate from your first night quarantine I guess? Also to show which jurisdiction you live in is an ordinary drivers license from your home state sufficient?  Travel booking confirmation is just a copy of plane ticket? Can it be 90 days out when applying for tourist visa meaning arriving say Jan 15 departing April 13? If you are citizen of where you are applying from can you just skip that section and upload nothing? Thanks seems to be a lot to do to be a short term snow bird in Thailand. The OP had his visa take about 25 days from Oct 30 to Nov 23.  This seems to be more a NORM that I think REALLY needs to be addressed by potential tourists. It can certainly take a minimal of 15 working days to just get a 60 day visa THEN you start the Thailand pass system which can take 7 working days!!  Wow! To answer op if you arrive " visa exempt" from many countries you get 30 days and can extend once more for another 30 days for 1900 baht at immigration ( that can be a 1/2 day easily.
How can Thailand expect any real tourists?

exactly  there are no instructions for people  to be clear They have button instructions but just for some basic stuff  - seems like they don't have clear guidance.

My wife's e-visa took 2 days and her Thailand pass was approved in less than 5 minutes.

    Is your wife  Thai ?

Because  if  crazy as they  nowhere mention  how  long  is the process but they want you to buy  ticket ahead. Also  I  wonder  if  they want that you have  bookings  for all your trip, because  I like  to decide on spot  the  way I  feel.

  4. Hi,

I am trying to fill  eVisa and it seems that you need to buy the ticket before  you apply for eVisa(which was not the case for normal  visa) also make all reservations of hotels. Quite crazy because I dont know how long will take them to make my visa plus ThaiPass and they don't offer any explanation  on the website. I guess I can  make  fake reservations and than cancle but  still  to buy ticket ahead befor I know how long  will  take them to process everything is crazy, not to mention  all proofs of residency.

If I arrive  with visa on arrival how long can  I extend ??

    Thanks, G

  5. HY,

can somebody recomend what is best flight airline to go from Bangkok to Manila. I was looking to cebu airlines, but fares are not so low as I expected. I remember last year you could get one way for 2500Thb, but now all are over 5000thb. I am looking for mid January. If somebody can sugest some other cheap alternatives.

    Thanks, G
