These 'non celebrities' that have contributed nothing to the world other than having a TV camera in their home are a total blight on humanity. Why these oxygen thieves are rocketed to celebrity stardom is totally beyond me.
Living out here for so many years I have thankfully been spared them, and never even seen them on TV. However - True story about 6 years ago I was flying back to the UK and the guy next to me said "what do you think about the kardassians', and i honestly turned to him and said 'is their a new star trek movie? I don't think I have seen it yet'. he then took 10 minutes to explain that was the Cardassian's and he was talking about the 'Kardashians'. Same same, an unwelcome alien life form.

Whats the cost? Who will pay???? This burns me as an ex- health care provider.....what would the positves be.....more drugs ??? Whats the botton line??......What if this works to we ha e to look forward to as a society??? The synaptic connections will never occur....its changing a body out that has been worn down by a severley wasting disease.....the patient will still be unable to move.....I just dont understand this.......how about more time into diabetes....aids.......and about a plethora of illnesses come to mind......Hep C is curable at a Thousand bucks a day for 4 months......spend money getting the cost down......sad....
Well as a health care provider you should be acutely aware that it was advances in medical science and procedure that kept you in a job. 100 years ago we had little cures for anything. Now we have vaccines, antibiotics and a whole host of surgical and orthopedic procedures that add quality of life and value to people. The first heart transplant was a miracle, the man didn't survive too long, but he did survive, and the surgeons made the techniques and drugs better and better until now we have hundreds of thousands of people walking around with someone else's heart giving them another 40 years of life.
This procedure will have profound consequences for humanity - positive ones as well as the potential negative ones. It may lead to the ability to repair spinal injuries and a host of other things. Unfortunately as you should also be aware the fact is that big Pharma do not want cures for diabetes and cancer etc etc. They are businesses worth hundreds of billions a years across the globe, why would the powerful Pharma multinationals even allow cures to be forthcoming? It wont happen until we have a radical political change within society. Yes Hep C is curable at 1000 bucks a day or get the same drugs from India for 10 bucks a day. To quote your final word - sad.

As F4UCorsair said, there's plenty of heat in the wheel well for a one hour flight, it might even get a bit hot at first. He would of course have suffered from hypoxia, and must have passed out at altitude. If a stowaway does not indeed get crushed by gear retraction, then it is very likely he'd get sucked out when the gear is extended [all of a sudden]. He would definitely be dazed and confused after surviving all that.
Can you explain how he would be sucked out when the the gear is lowered?

Mmmm not sure how this is physically possible. It is around -55deg C at 10 000 m and unless you were a himalayan sherpa who has lived atop Everest for a year there is just physically not enough oxygen. I wonder if the 10 000 m is an assumption or mis reporting? I wonder if the 'island hopper remained around 8000-10000 ft then survival is very likely. I guess however if they were at 10k meters they were only there for about 15 mins in a one hour flight, but still his survival is remarkable, he deserves a long weekend on the pop in jakarta if the details are correct.

Not a hater and have respect for him as a serviceman. I respect all servicemen and women of all nations, they serve thier countries with great pride. I salute Capt Harry and I served myself and stood proud to be a digger. That has nothing to do with my post where I said the money being spent on his training after he has given his resignation would have been better spent on another officer who is soldiering on for his country.Wasting Australian tax payers money on his training when he is going to resign his commission at the end. What is the point and why not spend this money on another young aussie officer who is in it for the long haul. No time for these royals as they are a waste of money and past thier use by date.
Don't be a hater. A lot of people join the military for only one tour but they still get trained up.
Like the money spent on you during your last months for resettlement - 'prep' for civvie street, all tax payers money for courses and all the rest, you know what is on offer and how much people can screw out of the system - all at the tax payers expense. Doesn't sound like Harry is doing that does it. So there is the money saved. if you honestly believe that out of our tax payers purse or the Australian annual military budget sending Harry to work with the Australian Army for a month is going to deprive a potential Australian officer of training then when you left the military you did so without a clue. It must be a slow news day when people bitch and moan about nothing at all.

In some states, they end up paying about 1 million (or much more) to the person incarcerated. I think I read of a guy getting 3 million.
The 150 people on the airplane, I read, get at most 150,000 USD. And they are trying to give them 50k for each life.
It's one weird world.....
And the woman who puts her poodle in the micro wave or the woman that spills MacD coffee in her lap get 5M+ each

And then of course that is just a fraction of the total number of resolutions Israel is ignoring. Would you now use your argument above to justify bombing Israeli facilities?

He was perfectly and legally allowed to request questioning in the UK - FACT! Whilst in Sweden at the time he was questioned by the police - result - no charges. The Swedes do not want him on their soil to answer concocted charges (by the prosecutor) of rape, there is a different agenda. Anyone with a brain can see it a mile off.
For those with an interest just research the connections between the Prosecutor (the original public prosecutor at the time was replaced I recall for deciding no charges were warranted), the Swedish Minister for Justice at the time and the Ministers business interests and career. The decision is pants, I hope it goes to appeal and the Lawyer for Williams gets his act together. At the end of the day it is subjective but for the Gaye's lawyer to be calling Thicke and Williams liars when there is no proof of that is a bit much, sure argue the similarities but surely it should stop there.
Hopefully for the music business in general this is not over.

Indonesia is not only full (jam packed) with very poor people it also has a very high illiteracy rate. If you tell some poor people that there is a Islamic Caliphate now been established and the land is full of milk and honey for all Muslims then they will go in droves looking for something better than the crap that they currently live in. Once there of course they will find it a whole different game altogether.
I don't believe these people are sat watching TV's watching Pilots burn and christian children having their heads cut off saying "ooh lets have some of that". Humans, especially women are not like that naturally by default. Once you have illiterate poor people believing in God, you can tell them their 'book' says anything and they will go along with it. Take the 14th and 15th century Christian European era as an example. ISIS have still got no where near as bad as the times of the Spanish Inquisition and Torquemada but they will catch up pretty soon. ISIS have a very sophisticated propaganda communications network and that needs stopping immediately. Governments can find and stop 'The Pirate Bay' but the ISIS propaganda sites and blogs continue. Once the illiterate population are convinced to come on board with ISIS then we have much bigger problems. ISIS need stopping and I think there is nothing with a higher priority.

So it starts. Now imagine when a billion illiterate Muslims get this idea rammed down their throats! Those type of people that have nothing and hang on every word that their imam says! I am not sure what it will take to eventually mobilize the Governments. Iran might get nuclear weapons in 15 years, lets worry about that then, in the mean time if ISIS get a strong foothold they WILL cause death and destruction. Just as a movement they constitute a WMD. They have burned a young pilot in a cage, it caused outrage but not enough. They certainly will not reduce the 'show' they put on, so what's next a cage full of christian women and children? Will that be enough. Wait till Boko Haram try to outgross their 'brothers' in Iraq and Syria. This situation warrants an emergency meeting of the UN - not just the security council and a thorough planned military operation needs to be agreed. What is happening with ISIS is the antithesis of civilization, it must be stopped. If that means executing every single member of ISIS to ensure civilization survives, so be it, but if we do nothing the cancer will spread and it will become terminal.

Another way to exploit a negative news story about Jews and blow it up way out of proportion. Again, not sure why this thread is still open. The practice of oral suction in circumcision is bad, everyone posting here seems to agree, it is not done by most Jews only fanatically fundamentalist, it shouldn't be done at all but compared to other problems in the world, it is a very minor thing.
The city of New York made a balanced decision. Making it illegal would have been another option. I understand why some people would argue for that but there are reasons for the stance they did take as well.

Why do I need to address the issue of Phimosis? Phimosis is a medical condition that 'may' require circumcision to alleviate the problem. The reasons for being circumcised if you have acute Phimosis are far far different than some 2000 year old ritual baloney when little more than stone age nomads used to do it because it was probably 6 months in-between when they could get a decent wash. If you are proud of your cut job that is cool, i am very happy for you, but allow babies the dignity of deciding when they are 18 years old if they want to be cut. I won't allow my daughters ears to be pierced, she can decide when she is 18. What grounds are there for cutting off a newborns foreskin? .....and then having an old man suck on it!

I don't think that Craig is required to know anything about the subject. The reason the UN pick celebrities like this is to raise awareness with the masses, as by doing so the masses can effect change within Government. Large numbers of people have no interest in listening to Dr Roger Smosh PhD World expert in land mines and Champion Trout Tickler, but they DO want to listen to and go and meet and get a selfie with Daniel Craig when he goes on tour saying 'mines are bad' etc etc.
