Why is not an extension based on marriage an option.
Inadequate funds in a bank account.

You could change to an extension based upon marriage. You would need 400k baht in a Thai bank in your name only for 2 months or proof of 40k baht income.
Thank for replying. I dont have 400k in a thai bank so I will go to savannakhet to apply for a new visa. If I did I would do this.

Currently on a retirement extension ending soon. My choice is either go for another extension (through an agent) or go to Savannakhet for a multi entry non O based on marriage to a Thai. Obviously with the 2nd choice I will have to do 3 monthly visa runs which I dont mind but are there any other pros and cons of either? Any advice appreciated.

Currently on a retirement extension, expires end of June. I obtained the extension through an agent. The extension was done at Roi et, even though my residence is currently bangkok. 4 months ago the agent told me they had changed the address to my bangkok address however upon doing an online 90 day report last week, received a rejection from immigration with the reason written in thai. Google tranlate roughly tells me the rejection is because my address hasn't been changed so it seems it was never done.
My intention is to go to Savannakhet this month to apply for a multi non o based on marriage. My question is, will I have a problem on leaving thailand or on applying for the visa at the embassy given the above?

My extension of stay (based on retirement ) is permitted up to 30th June 2019. Can I exit on the 30th or should I leave before the 30th?

I had 7 back to back there, no problem, even at border.
Dress up ok, be polite, that's all.Ive got 2 previous non imm o multi visas based on marriage in pp. Currently on retirement extension ending 29th June. Can I leave before or on 29th June, without a reentry permit, and apply for a fresh non o based on marriage at savannakhet?

They certainly will not bother you about not having a re-entry permit.
Thank you. And given that I am currently on a retirement extension which ends late June, am I able to apply for a fresh non imm o visa based on marriage from savannakhet with hopefully no problems if I have all the correct documentation?

1. Since you are letting you extension expire I would not bother with doing the 90 day report. Just take the report slip out of your passport.
2. Not needed.
3. No
Thanks. If I do not do the 90 day report and do not obtain a re entry permit, on leaving Thailand via mudkahan border am I likely to be interrogated on why I do not have a re entry permit? Would it not be safer to get one prior to leaving?

Apologies if this has been repeated many times. Just checking I need:
1.original marriage certificate and a copy.
2.copies of page of house paper with my wifes name on it plus page 1 of the house paper.
3.passport copy
Does my wife's signature need to be over a copy of the marriage certificate and a copy of the house paper. If yes and the signature is a photocopied copy should I get her to sign it again? Thanks.

Currently on a retirement extension, next and final 90 day report due 7th June 2019, extension of stay permitted until 28th June 2019. Retirement extension was done through an agent where the visa was obtained at an upcountry office however have subsequently changed my address to Bangkok and has been officially changed on previous 90 day reports. Considering going back to apply for a multi entry non imm O based on marriage to a Thai (have been married for 12 years). Have insufficient funds to do an extension at CW so plan is to go to Savannakhet prior to 28th June to apply My questions are,
1. Should I do a 90 day report on the 7th June?
2. Should I obtain a re entry permit prior to leaving Thailand to go to Savannakhet (around 25th June), or is this not necessary?
3. Possible grilling on leaving Thailand via land border at Mudkahan given my retirement visa was obtained via an agent upcountry?

Why not apply for an extension of stay based upon marriage so you don't have to worry about having anymore that 400k baht in the bank for 2 months on the date you apply for the extension. After you get your extension stamp you can do what you want to do with it until you top up your account for the next extension.
You can change the reason for your extension of stay to marriage without needing to get a new non-o visa.
Would be the most sensible approach however I may not have adequate funds to show at the time of renewal in which case I will go to Laos to apply for a fresh non O. (If permitted).

No.
Yes.
But you could apply or the next extension early on the 10th June and are the 90 day report at the same time.
You can do it anytime. Your current extension would end if you leave anytime before June 10th.
No.
Thanks for the response.

My current extension based on retirement has an extension of stay until 30th June 2019. (The original extension was obtained June 2018). My questions are:
1. On doing my next 90 day report (due 11th March 2019), do I have to show 400k in a bank account?
2. Given that the next extension of stay is due 30th June, on approximately 10th June 2019, will I have to do another 90 day report?
And, I am considering applying for a multi entry non O visa from Savannakhet based on marriage to a Thai. Regarding this:
1. Can I do this a week or two before the current extension of stay is due? (30th June).
2. I have had two previous non immigrant O visas based on marriage (in my current passport). Will this be a problem in applying for another?
Thanks for any advice.

I chose that option many years ago. I am on my 11th extension based upon marriage now.
You can change the reason for your current extension to marriage when it or near to expiring.
Here is my general list of required documents. Marriage Extension Requirements 2.pdf
Im currently on extension based on retirement...expires late June. I am married and before the retirement extension had 2 or 3 non imm o visas based on marriage. Can I go to laos and apply for a multi entry based on marriage before the current returement extension expires? I do not have the funds currently to extend at immigration.

My extension was granted June 2018. Next 90 day report due 10th March 2019. Next application for extension due June 2019. Does this mean I have to show 800k on my next 90 day report in March this year or this applies to the new extension application in June?

If your asking about BKK, it's after security checks, and just before passport control. You just need your passport.
Thanks for your kind help.

Very. It's a simple application at your immigration office. At the airport you pay an extra 200 baht, and they do it all for you.
I'll do it at the airport. Do I need to provide anything apart from my passport? Whereabouts at the airport do I get the reentry permit?

You can get the aforementioned "Re-entry Permit" at your local immigration office or at the airport on the way out.
Single entry: 1,000 baht
Multiple entry: 3,800 baht
Thank you. Is this relatively easy to obtain?

Im Australian, 51 yo, currently have a retirement extension, previously had 3 or 4 multiple O visas based on marriage to a Thai. Ive been living here for 5 years, plan to visit Australia next month. Just wondering if there have been or may be any problems coming back into Bangkok through the airports. Advice as to anything I ought to prepare...20k or the like? Thanks.

Any rough ideas as to how many people per week would use an agent for a retirement extension? Im guessing between 15 to 20 but I am probably way off the mark.

Chaeng Wattana immigration do not normally ask for a TM30 form.
Yes the receipt for the 90 day report.
You could do the 90 day report and a TM28 form at the same time.
So it would seem it may not be necessary to make 2 trips, one with a TM30 and the second with a T28 and to do the 90 day report. I should only make one trip when I do the second 90 day report mid December together with a T28. It seems that it is not necessary to notify them before my 90 day report of my change of address. Could there be any hiccups? Is this correct? Sorry to sound repetitive, I want to make sure I understand. Thanks for your advise Joe. Much appreciated

You will need a to do a TM28 form when you do your 90 day report to formally change your address to Bangkok if the agent did the last one at the office that issued your extension. Be sure you have the receipt for that report with you when you go to immigration.
Download: TM28 Change of Address
Thank you. the agent suggested I may need to register my address now (TM30?) prior to doing the next 90 day report (in December). Is this correct? Can I change my address (TM28) on the same day as the 90 day report? Do you mean the receipt for the last 90 day report? I have it. The way I understand it I have to go to immigration soon with a TM30, then on the day of the next 90 day report do a TM28 and the report together.

12 month extension based on retirement (non imm o visa), obtained through an agent four months ago. First 90 day report was done by agent. Agent now advised me that I need to contact my local immigration (I live in Bangkok) and register my current address as immigration now no longer allow agents to do the 90 day report on behalf of customers. The agent obtained the extension from an upcountry immigration office. My questions are, what are the requirements for registering my address and could there be problems at immigration given the above?

90 day report (first one) done on a 12 month extension. The copy of the 90 day report has been misplaced. Should I panic?

I wasnt aware of that. So I assume I do an extension at an immigration office before each 3 month period. What is required to do the extension?
