  1. KBank, three savings accounts and one current (with chequebook) account.
  2. I'm following this with interest and want to share a personal experience. Having had a frozen Left shoulder that lasted almost 18 months before it went away (no treatment), only to then find that my Right shoulder started to go the same way, having avoided medication first time around and after consulting with Google, I started taking Ibuprofen and it became ok, not perfect but not as bad as my previous experience of frozen shoulder. I continued taking Ibuprofen as more a preventative measure and did so for a number of years until I had a fairly bad accident. Now that bad accident broke a few posterior ribs that left me with only one way to lay down in bed (couldn't sit back in a chair either) and that was I had to sleep propped by pillows with my body weight resting on my Right shoulder (and my right ear, but thats a different story), because the broken ribs were behind my Left shoulder blade they were non-aligned and for quite some time were also non-union, so it took a long time of sleeping on my bad Right shoulder until eventually my broken Left posterior ribs formed union (but still non-aligned) and I was no longer required to sleep on my bad Right shoulder. Now the positive side was that suddenly (or at some point in those 3+ months of my Right shoulder taking the pressure of my bodyweight) my Right shoulder no longer has any frozen shoulder symptoms. I'm generally not superstitious, but I'm touching a bit of wood as I type this.
  3. Thanks, unfortunately that would have been the thing to do last time, but maybe they'll let me renew early this time
  4. Does anyone know if it's possible to bring the extension date forward by 3 months? Effectively reducing current extension by 3 months, but also making my annual extension date 3 months earlier going forward. Unfortunately last year I switched passports and as I had a second passport, after my transfer was done because of the old passport expiry date being used for the last extension and the current extension date/month is now not so convenient for my overseas travel plans
  5. Sorry I don't know the answer to your question, however having been in a condo Line group for a number of years, I can say that it seems there's no holding back when the option to sue for defamation arises from any accusations made against the committee members or employees of the management company.
  6. This is no longer the case. Please see item 30 on the link. "If you have lived in Great Britain, France, or Ireland, you are eligible for a whole blood donation. However, if you or any of your family members have had Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD), you are not eligible to donate." https://blooddonationthai.com/en/whocangiveblood/
  7. I also saw this maybe 25 years ago and I gave the guy ฿500 I understand how I myself many years ago used to get rid of every last bit of whatever local currency I had, just as I was leaving each country and that ฿500 departure tax was a surprise for me the first time I rocked up at the counter and handed over my ticket and the lady asked me for it, fortunately I still had it. Anyway he asked for my details so he could send the money to me once he returned to his home, I told him to forget about it and consider it as a gift, but he said he wanted to refund me so I told him to donate the amount to a local charity instead.
  8. But surely there's no need for tourists to get a residence certificate?
  9. Thanks for this very useful feedback. I've been dithering on whether to go for an oil boiler or the heat pump. Its got to be new oil boiler
  10. If you're currently listed as a director, then send a recorded delivery (preferably signed for) letter, dated with date of writing & sending and clearly stating your resignation date, addressed to and sent to the board of directors at the official registered office address, this should suffice as far as the cessation of your dates of responsibility in that director role. Consider before you write that letter to write yourself a letter (if authorised) under that company heading, giving a reason why you need to leave, (perhaps unsuitable changes in current market/financial situation) and that's the one to produce at One stop when handing back work permit and or at Immigration when looking for another visa. But please consider seeking legal advice, as good legal advice is worth it's weight in gold.
  11. I usually do it 45 days beforehand at CW, but this year as I'm heading off on travel quite some time before that 45 day window opens, therefore I wonder (hoping) if they will still issue a one year extension, but from the date of applying, effectively reducing my current extension by three months and thereby changing my renewal date going forward.
  12. Of course the free element is moot as the price of the good wines and champagnes are built into the ticket price. although I have to say its been a number of years since I was last being served Krug onboard, but I guess that's what happens when I drop to biz. As alternative to their (Qatar) champagne, try their luxury non-alcoholic bubbly "So Jennie" but a tip, let your attendant know that's what you are going to be drinking so they ensure they have a good amount chilled, also ask your attendant to let the bartendee's know that when you go to the bar you will also be consuming that. I'm someone that would happily go through ten different wines with a meal on Emirates, even if they were opening a new bottle of vintage port just for me
  13. I remember years ago during a visit to Toronto where one of the other guests that was staying with us was busy removing the designer labels and sewing Marks and Spencer labels in their place, labels she had brought over to Canada with her. She was a high profile actress (appearing on BBC at least once, maybe twice a week) When I asked her why change labels, she explained that she almost always got stopped by UK Customs on her return to the UK and the M&S labels saved her a fortune.
