Its happened to me once or twice in the local KFC, they will serve others (Thai) first etc. I put it down to the fact they assume I cannot speak Thai and they cant speak English with any confidence,, so they get embarrassed and dont know what to do, so they try to avoid the situation.
That's all purely guesswork on my part, saving face etc for them, as when I spoke first, to them in Thai, they served me immediately with a big smile
So, perhaps, its just an uncomfortable language barrier that arises occasionally.
it wasnt the fact that they served the thai's first im used to that , it was the fact that she totaly refused to serve me full stop
Just walk out,they will soon get fed up restocking the shelf!

Unless you can fix the washing machine door yourself it probably won't be worth Samsung doing the repair cheaply, you say you have had it 6 years, so now is a good time to give it a decent funeral!

Firefox.
I'm on Firefox and stay signed in to TV which works fine. However FF has a habit of losing other programs passwords,i've given up trying to rectify this annoying bug!

this is not a theory.
it is a fairy tale. when the scientists do not find the right answer they will present you junk like this.
And more to the point they will put forward many questions which will ensure scientists have funding for many years to come! just look into the amount of Scientists that are employed in the Global warming debate,fortunately,there is so much disagreement,they have ensured future funding will see them all into retirement!
A bit like Archiologists that go from one dig to another,dig up broken Pottery,Glass,walls,etc,but nothing that would warrant the expense of the Dig,
Beachcombers,with their metal detectors probably have more success than pottery shard diggers!

Don't know what it is here, but elsewhere in Asia they have what's called the 5/6 rule, I lend you 5000, and you owe me 6,000 at months end... doesn't sound like much, but if you're on a limited income that can be the beginning of the end for many, you can't pay the 6,000, so you pay the interest of 1,000, after a year you've paid them 12,000 in interest and still owe the original 5,000 As an aside Companies in the UK like "Wonga" when fees etc. were added for payday loans were charging something like 2,000% per annum, yes thats right, two thousand percent, their TV ad's even clearly stated the %... Unbelievable that people still went for it. Don't think thats legal now, but it's still astronomical.
That's why many of the peoples debts were wiped clean and Wonga were fined and kicked off the tv, and not to mention the made up solicitor letters they were sending people were all bogus.
When the loan sharks move in it's a sure sign of a country mismanaged and in decline!

The last time I told someone their GF was cheating,he said I lied and was going to kill me! of course he only came to Thailand 2 to 3 time a year so knew better than I.Nowadays i keep my mouth shut and let them live in cloud cuckoo land.

The OP has mentioned a subject that is very concerning.
My Thai wife is not the brightest bulb in the pack and my 3 adult children all have their own busy lives to lead. If in the event I became gar gar and could not make decisions for myself, my children would probably use their own judgements that I think may not be in my best interests, or in other words if I lose the plot I think my life would turn to chaos.
Making a living will now may not be applicable in the future as circumstances can change, plus who`s to say that those nearest and dearest would follow my instructions to the letter.
I have thought about this subject in the past, and the best I can come up with it is; hope it never happens.
The main criteria is as follows .
1.A trusted Expat from your own Country who will act for you.
2.A pre arranged Lawyer from your own Country who knows Thai law,and how to deal with your own Countries law.
3.A Lawyer who will deal with your friend having to make a Will,and pay in advance! of any updates,as they occur! (this is probably unavoidable) alterations to wills,always occur!
4. A copy of everything should be left with your wife!
Whichever way you choose,nothing will ever be the perfect answer,it's all a very daunting and complex subject,but some effort to resolve it,is better than nothing!

Cheap Chinese imports,
Cheap Labour in their shops
Little after sales service on faulty goods (i.e some shops only refund on faulty goods if returned in 7 days)

He should be sacked,not because of the incident that brought this on,but he has become,tedious, boring,and obnoxious,and also get's paid too much,for the drivel he spouts! every week! unless I read wrongly,last year he got paid something like £7,000,000 £Million .Don't cry for me Argentina springs to mind.

I painted over wallpaper many many years ago and I forget what the paint was. However what I do recall was it wetting the underlying paper and I ended up with horrible bubbles in the underlying paper.
So, I 'think' careful priming and letting that that dry well is the key to the eventual topcoat producing a satisfactory outcome is
Don't do it! as several Posters have said,it causes bubbling, and from that point onwards,the mess will get worse. Often as well as bubbles the paper will shrink and make the joins very obvious. If it's not worth starting fresh,then its not worth doing,short cuts often end up the long route around!
