But in 30 seconds how can they apply the strictly check of the incoming foreigners as the immigration is told to do so now??
Easy, the eyeball computer, scans Russians and Chinese and the officers know the path is clear and pass them straight through.

Local outrage - what nonsense, now national action?
What is a crackdown on foreigners? Are they going to hassle us in the malls? 🤣
They let Russians in unchecked, we all know that many of them are mafia, they run organised crime, ATM scamming, gambling and pornography, many murders happening amongst this lot.
Then a mad man kicks a Dr on an illegal structure installed by crooked Thai property developers.
Two spoiled brat kiwis take a gun off a traffic cop, maybe they thought he was going to shoot them.
There is lots of police shootings in NZ after car chases, in fact if you're stupid enough to get involved in a car chase in NZ odds are you will end up shot dead or crash dead, they always end badly.
There are pick pockets, pimps illegal gambling houses and human trafficking going on in los all the time, and they want to crack down on innocent retired people and tourists.
Clean up your own backyard first, I say.

I thought you’d decided to ‘integrate’, join a hi-so gym, become more Thai, stop drinking etc ????
Anyway, this is a perfect example of a the lazy Policing we see here…
The BiB all need a ‘push’ to do their job & now social media will do that.
Hopefully now the BiB have been nudged into doing their job.
This principle clearly applies in the red bull case

"The said company is believed to have It is a company that operates by foreigners which has Thai people joining as nominees to avoid the law and is an offense according to The Foreign Business Act of 1999 has resulted in the seizure of more than 100 cars and motorcycles and many documents."
That's a substantial business.
Do you need a 90 day visa on arrival to work in this field? 88

CM Immi. iends to adopt new Immi. rules and processes ahead of other provinces, I've witnessed this several times in the past when they've asked for something such as a copy of your lease and others have laughed at the idea. IF they are now asking for proof of where the money comes from, watch it, I wouldn't dismiss it out of hand, not for one moment.
Maybe the new tax laws have something to do with it

I bet they'd never do that back home. Evading police is bad enough but to take the officers weapon?
They're asking for it.
Throw them in jail and give them a taste of Thai prison for a few years then deport them and never let them come back.....
How do you know, they could have been acting in self defence, could have been a drunk cop overacting and turned his gun on these two, looks like thesudued the officer and were holding his gun, they were not pointing it at him, I'll bet the cop was on something.

At the end of the day, there are lots of western men who come here and are unaware that this behaviour is normal in some places, but not others.
They apologised, but did it again... maybe they thought that they were ok to do it to different ladies, and they had no idea that this was not Nana Plaza.
The world of social media nowadays where someone does or says something wrong and is all of a sudden a wanted fugitive is quite worrying.
What about all the scams in bars and taxi drivers ripping people off?
I had a friend years ago who I took to Thailand, It was his first time, he started groping girls in the old beer garden, I told him, it's not good to do this to these girls, they don't like it, and it's not good behaviour.
Next day I told him to go his own way, I would not show him around Thailand with me.

"Ripper, My Pittie is great with kids and would lick em to death"....
And I hope they did 'take care of him'.... and the owner, whatever their BS excuses needs to be facing heavy fines.
The dog would be put down in most countries, they are also banned in many.
They can never be trusted, my friend had one that was very good natured until one day it nearly severed his hand, Maiming him for life as he took the dog to his brothers house, the dog attacked a pet rabbit in a pen and the owner tried to stop it, then his beloved animal turned vicious on him.

Tourists can come or not, but by far, they are not the big spenders. Those who spend the most are the people who own property and stay longer then the regular joe-tourist and his 2 week stay in a beach resort.
At Suvarnabhumi airport yesterday I was almost mowed down several times by Chinese groups carrying signs storming around the airport, many buying bus tickets for Pattaya, had to get my ticket for Huahin and get away from them, had to wait 3 hours for the bus to depart, the food court was push and shove, gave me a headache, but huge numbers at the airport yesterday.

I would love to see the wording of the reform, it seems to never make the news, but seems to get blown out of proportion, that we won't know unless it's published.

So it would seem. But there is no excuse why immigration can't do the same sitting comfortably at their computers (heaven forbid they work too hard) when someone passes through passport control on entry.
Qantas put a warning on my ticket to Bk must show return ticket b4 boarding in Auckland, because entering on visa on arrival, never had problem b4,even though I said I will extend to non o,can get around that.

Hosting the national flag of any nation comes with responsibilities. It's not a decoration on or for a building, it is the proud symbol of a nation. The flag should be taken down at sunset and raised to top mast at sunrise. It can be at half or lower mast for extraordinary national events like mourning the death of a Minister, etc..
Watch a Police station, military base, or military ship and see the flag timing. It's disrespectful to leave the flag up overnight!
It seems like The Jootee Tin Dredging Company needs to show more respect for Thailand's flag by taking care of it seriously, properly and with honour and respect.
Maybe the foreigner was showing more respect than the company?
Very clearly, the souvenir hunter recognized this and grabbed it to take home.

I think there was enough and much more that have been said about this subject, yes, this guy is an a-hole and
by now he got or will get what he deserves, but not like he murdered or rapped someone,
not as if the locals are white doves in their treatments of their fellow Thais, so ok, the message was clear
and everyone learned a lot from it...
A thai women through things at me when I returned a crook cellphone she sold me, she lost face and screemed at me, I grabbed another one she was comparing it with and ran, she threw the broken one at me hitting me in the head, good shot, I kept running and disappeared.
These were in the day's of not having to show ID, she had put my Sim into the new phone already.
I did not ever think of retaliation, I just wanted to get away from her as quickly as possible.

It sounds like he deserves it but then again I'm not thrilled to hear about expats being deported as a general thing. I would have preferred some kind of plan where this man was forced to humiliate himself publicly in a super dramatic way. Lost face for life. I doubt he would reoffend.
If he's got a psychological problem, he will not be humiliated, only worse, his attitude seems to have rubbed off on his wife well.

Not only check the backgrounds, but also check their motor vehicles, living accommodation, business licenses, visas, language school attendance records, sources of funds, and of course their known Thai associates, telephone calls, etc.. Focus on the Russians, especially the ones that have a Police Officer's phone number in their contacts phone book!
Check all people living in villas and big condos.
Ur right,,require police records of all Russian tourists, b4 issuing visas, and Swiss, and Chinese, and every other foreign person, trouble is police reports would be corrupt ,then all the good guys would be Subject to more visa restrictions.
Russian mafia went into the USA and took on the Sicilian mafia, they were not scared of them.
Australia has massive problems with Lebanese mafia and drugs.
NZ has huge problems with gangs now working with Chinese mafia.
The NZ government we're warned by Hong Kong British police that opening up to Chinese migration on a large scale would bring the Triads in.
What happened NZ ignored the advice, now drugs and crime are huge and gangs work with the Chinese and the police cannot stop it.
