I want to say sub-adult Plain Prinia but the facial markings make that hard There are three or four facebook sited for bird IDs not where you would get your answer in minutes. For this one I old try "LBJ Lovers Thailand."
Thanks AN. I got a response from Facebook and it's a moulting Thick-billed warbler confirmed by tapping sounds heard yesterday. I replayed the calls from xeno canto and the bird reappeared briefly.

Been awhile since anything out of the ordinary at my yard. This morning I found this foraging on my kafir lime tree and later at the long bean trellis. Looks like a young bird but what is it? Size about 2/3 to 3/4 of the streak eared bulbul. The hint of a mustachial stripe and dark ear coverts have me baffled.

Thanks for posting Crossy I too have a 4kg Chihuahua and I googled Bravecto and was taken aback by numerous reports of dogs falling I'll from it.
I take my 2 dogs out, the other being a 30+kg German Shepherd mix and they love going off track in the wooded area I take them for their daily romp and I think that's where they pick up ticks. I am going to get me some Bravecto and see if I can at least reduce the number of ticks.

One of my favorites. And one of the birds that got me hooked on birding when i was up in Surin. I have actually never seen one in a cage. Were they caged pet birds or "merit releases"?
They are frequently mixed with other munia species in cages at pet shops or flea markets. My guess they are bought for release to make merit since they don't sing.

That would be a great spot to capture some action images. Any idea the exact location in chanthaburi?

According to what I have read, the Brahminy Kite feeds mainly on floating detritus such as dead fish. So, perhaps the injured leg is in that way less of a hindrance than it might be for an osprey, for example.
I did see it circle and then dived a couple of times amongst the reeds/vegetation but was unable to make out what it captured or maybe it failed on those occasions.

Dollarbird.
Not exactly from my garden but from a lake about 3km from my residence.
This lake adjoins Thap Lan NP. I saw about 5 or 6 of these in flight but not in formation and they did several circuits
around a bay where I was seeking refuge from the heat. Also saw 3 unidentified Needle-tailed swifts but they were
way too fast for me.

Noteworthy...plump build, long straight, sharp bill and obvious light colored legs. Sometimes using the process of elimination by field marks can narrow down the possibilities.
Anyone else agree or have differing thoughts?
Looks to me like some kind of starling. Was this physically sized like a mynah? My guess is chestnut-tailed starling.
Someone more knowledgeable would come along soon.
Oh btw., where's samuijimmy haven't seen him around for a while.

If you right click on your images and look for "view image info" you will see that they are much larger than 800 x 600.

Top one is:2,048px × 1,366px (scaled to 1,284px × 856px)
Bottom one : 769px × 1,152px
Not familiar with software you are using.
I export from Lightroom, long edge 1024 pix which seems to work quite well on the web.

Hmm... for some reason my attempt to resize didn't work then. Will try again when I next post a photo.

Thanks Skeptic7.....err any tips in uploading photos so they don't get too 'in-your-face'?
I resized these to 800x600 with Irfanview. Guess I need to drop dimensions more?

Help me with this Shrike ID. Thanks.
Taken at Huai Khok Mu view point Ratchaburi.
This is a nice spot to camp although birding isn't great.
But was well rewarded with a flypast of about 7 or 8 individuals.
Wreathed Hornbill. Female with blue gular pouch.
Unfortunately the sun was behind the birds
Gear used Canon 7D with 400/5.6 hand held.

Anyone else with HOSP sightings are asked and welcomed to share your area, along with how common they are in your area.
Thanks!
Where I am (lower NE Isaan) house sparrows aren't exactly common but they do visit my backyard occasionally. Plain-backed can sometimes be sighted at neighbouring farmlands.

Nonetheless a very crisp shot!
I have a version 1 500/f4 IS sitting in my dry cabinet longing to be taken out but at my age I find it increasingly strenuous to lug this bazooka around. Instead I now prefer the light weight 400/5.6 for doing trails and a 300/2.8 for hide work.
If anyone is interested please PM me for the 500/4.

Thanks AN for that interesting link although I still can't be certain. I'll go along with shikra for now.

True, hence the "Could it be".. Difficult one.
You could be right still. Until someone comes along to positively ID it. I'd think it's possibly a Chinese Sparrowhawk but they are relatively rare.

Could it be a grey faced buzzard?
I really can't tell from your links. The chest and belly markings don't quite match.
