Where to travel out of country for 2 days?
talisman01 replied to Terek's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
For similar reasons I went to Malacca for a few days. Very interesting place, plenty of history, lots to see and abundant food choices as well as decent places to stay. -

Query re tourist visa application
talisman01 replied to talisman01's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
So supposing I buy a throwaway ticket in order to show on the evisa application form that I am exiting Thailand before my 60th day, will I still be able to obtain a 30-day extension later on ? -
Query re tourist visa application
talisman01 replied to talisman01's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thanks for your response. So if I obtain a throwaway ticket to show my departure before my 60th day - one of the requirements of the evisa online app form - will I later be able to get a 30-day extension at immigration ? -
I am in the UK and preparing to apply online for a 60-day tourist visa although my intention is to stay for 90 days by obtaining a 30-day extension at immigration. The evisa travel section requires a date of departure from Thailand. Must this be within the initial 60 days ? Or will my departure home within 90 days be accepted ?

The procedure was done at Guy's Hospital in London. I'm told that the prostate Aquablation process was first developed is about 5 years ago and has since had a rapid take up in many other countries because of its precision and because it's far less intrusive and, for larger prostates, much safer than TURP. I understand that Bumrungrad Hospital in Bkk now offers the procedure.

This time last year I was listed at Guy's hospital for the Holep procedure and I was given a bed in the Urology ward. When my Consultant came round he asked me if I would be interested in having a new robotic procedure called Aquablation as someone else had cancelled. He explained that the outcome would be the same as a Holep but much less intrusive. After our discussion, I agreed, and thus became the first person to have this new procedure where the prostate is, in effect, hollowed out a bit to allow the urethra an unrestricted passage through. I have had no side effects, no discomfort and no change to the enjoyment of my sex life and I'm not far short of eighty. Hope that helps.

My colleague arrived at Heathrow from Malaysia via Abu Dhabi two days ago. He was through immigration in about 5 minutes. Concerned that he had not been asked for any documents or forms or evidence of the vaccinations he'd had in Malaysia, he asked an official where he should present them. He was waved through without showing anything other than his passport at the egate.

Vaxed in KL, returning to UK, any problems ?
talisman01 replied to talisman01's topic in Malaysia General Chat
Many thanks for the info and link. It was just that my friend thought that vaccines taken outside of the UK might not be recognised on re-entry. -
A friend, a UK citizen, is in KL and has the option of getting his 2 x Pfizer jabs in KL. Does anyone know if his Covid jabs will be recognised on entry to UK ? Or, would it be wiser for him to wait and get his jabs in the UK ?
