A friend of mine works for Thai airways in the lounge at Swampy. She said she's seen Chinese tourists wash their clothes (including underwear) in the toilets and hang them on the aircon units. I kid you not. 555
I say there is a documentary to be made here, and when China sees the whole world laughing at its folks it might take things like etiquette whilst on holiday seriously.

A few mates from work went to Australia a few years ago, 1 white and 1 black. Apparently in Melbourne they had trouble hailing a cab on the street until they stood apart, like 50 meters or so.

So I went to Thailand in January and took plenty of video. My first version of this was a bit longer but was also not even playable in most countries due to me using commercial music. I decided to purchase some royalty free music so hopefully everyone is able to watch this.
I spent most of my time in Phuket but also did a few nights in Krabi. Hope you enjoy. Any feedback is welcome.

Not only the poms, quite a few of them had antipodean accents. I know accents. The girl who panicked attacked was not English- Oh i don^t like needles, when the poor nurse was trying to put a thermometer under her arm.
The guy with the dreadlocks had a bit of a german aussie accent. Wandering around with a bottle of beer.
The girl who was 8 months pregnant was not English
Some Swedish some French.
I loved the Engish four guys who seemed well informed and well dressed and not drunk.
So don't put it all down to the British.
Oh and the wee Indian who had a hissy fit.
There were some Brits there - but i think they did well.
Aside from the 4 young lads most of them were a bunch of chavs.
Overall I like the show. Not sure why people here have such high expectations of what the show will offer. It's regular people on holiday.
The quality tourists probably came over Xmas and jan. All the trash came along after. 5555

Not meaning to hijack this thread but what's the alternative to a Thai elite card if wanting to stay 5 years and not of retirement age? Can it even be done and If so is the elite card more cost effective?

I've never met any bad mannered ones outdoors. In airports and on the plane are another thing. In airports they don't mind barging is queue jumping and on planes they all rush to stand up and get into the aisle as soon as the plane has stopped moving following a landing. I made a point to barge one out of the way one my recent trip. Probably a bit childish of me but was funny at the time.

I've inly actually met 1 Russian in my trips to Phuket and he was pretty polite. There are ingrates in all corners of the earth so no use targeting 1 group of them.

I'll be landing at swamy on Thursday and you can rest assured this farang won't be taking any crap. Anyone that tries to push me will get a quick shot to the shins. I've actually booked a VIP fast track service for Bkk so am tempted to perform a gesture of some sort to them in the queue as I'm going through. Something that wouldn't look out of place on WWE.
