Don't know if they pass by Railey but, there is a "booze cruise party" with dj, sunset dinner, snorkeling around Poda, Tup and Chicken islands. It s set up by a famous hostel in Aonang if i m not wrong.

The fight was close, very close, the german fighter landed goods punches and knees(which score a lot in k1 style fighting), the thai looked more powerful but thrown him on the ground many times which is negatively scored in kick boxing(it s not muay thai).
So the draw was not outrageous for my part in the contrary the thai s reaction was.
"let decide the audience(mostly thai) on itself" who doesnt know s...t about k1 rules, was the kind of excuses he should have kept for him.
Too many controversies this days, are hurting buakaw's superstar status, he should act like a champion not like a hollywood movies superstar.
He is a great champion or was and has the responsability to promote thai boxing around the world maybe it s too much pressure for him.

I m based in Aonang, It took approximatively a month to install the fiber from the main street to my place(800m), if you are closer to your optical amp it would be faster.

Hello,
Just wanted to share a bit of my experience at the new hospital facility we have in Krabi.
We never tried the hospital as we used to visit the Phuket international one.
Phuket provides good cares at "reasonable" prices but we used to go there mainly because our insurance wasn t registred and we didnt have to advance the money before treatment. Now "Bupa" works with the etablishment we gave it a try and we were surprised that cost was even less expensive than Phuket.
My wife got surgery, everything was perfect: great surgeons and doctors, the nurses were friendly and helpful.
No need to mention that the operation was successful

I ve tried tot, cat,... 3bb is the best choice.
You have one office after Big C next to the Outlet village, i installed the fiber(1 month set up) and it s changed my life

Yes, been there yesterday afternoon, been told the army came a couple of days ago. This part of the beach is a bit messy now(concrete blocks, poles...) still ok, though, when the sun lies down.
-
Went to the beach yesterday morning and was surprised to see all the beach parts of the restaurants removed by workers(not the army) is it the beginning of the Krabi clean up as phuket is now?

The only my wife and I have been, was the vogue resort&spa, nice setting, pleasant reception and good masseuses. I know there s a few new places that have opened in the soi boutique... you might give it a try. Have a nice stay in Aonang
-
The only one, i know for now and nearby Aonang, is the Saithai s one (sleeping Buddha) next to the Krabi karts.
The Chongpli s temple looks abandoned, the biggest and most beautiful ones are in and around Krabi town, (Tiger temple behind Big C, Wat Kaewkorawaram down town and a few others...),

Thanks for all the comments, just to clarify a lil, i live in Krabi(Aonang) so good quality and pretty new roads, no traffic at all but my wife and I are moving almost every week to Phuket or Lanta for business ( 150 to 400kms round trip). We have to bring with us 3 to 15 pax... in the last case we usually rent a minivan...
To respond to some of you, i like very much the new Mazda 3 (2 or 4 doors) very nice design and i heard a lot of good things about Mazda engines but Madam looks more interrested by the Civic .
As have mentioned KittenKong, the maintenance cost (tires, ect...) is more expensive for a pick-up and that s what i d like to know precisely.
If, anyone of you gets any experience with the Ford Ranger Wildtrack i ll be glad to hear about it.
-
Hi, I m hesitating between buying a city car or a pick-up truck in the next few weeks. As i know nothing about mechanics and maintenance fees in Thailand, i d like to get some advices. pros and cons? Thanks a lot. (my choice would be the new Ford Ranger or the new Honda Civic)

My wife and I will be go there for a check up very soon but there s still some issues with BUPA as the hospital s still not on the beneficiaries list.
-
I agree with the different posts above, Krabi is a province which includes Koh Phi Phi, Koh Lanta ect... but not Phuket.
I m sure the new soi "boutique" between Nopparat and Aonang has plenty of choices and Nopparat beach itself can suit the op.
For the bungalows "on the beach style" i suggest to give a try at Long beach (straight after Nopparat) or even Klong Muang.

Hi blossombkk,
2 choices : - shuttle bus 150 b (krabi town - aonang) and -taxi which wouldbe about 600b(high season price) to get to Aonang or 300b to Krabi town

Hello! Usual october rainy showers and a bit of sunshine.
These last days were rainy...not heavy rain but constantly wet. It seems to improve today, the forecasters anounced better weather from wednesday.
I didnt hear about floods in Krabi and Aonang by the way I hope it was helpful
-
Yes GOM is right, the Klong Muang cost is nicer and hotels right one, i ve, personally, a week end at the Beyond Resort last year with my wife and recommend it.
I also suggest to have a look at some other resorts on Tubkaek beach.

Great news, thanks

I understood that s a different project, Villagio Krabi city avenue would be condominiums with a shopping mall, rumors said that the hospital was still on and today i heard that it would be turned into a hotel...

Have you tried the condos in Mandawee (Nopparathara beach)?
You have, also, some good deals around Nathai(3 km from Aonang) decent studios full equipped for something like 6000b/month for long term resident.
There is new developments, when you get out from Krabi town to Aonang... Ozone condo and another one completely built,... it s cheaper in this area and with a better service.
Good luck in your research

The main road and the beach front will be widened, all the shops that have encroached, are being dismantled one after the other.
Back on topic... the bad water reminds me the recent pollution in one famous phuket s beach.
Aonang appears to be no exception.
-
My wife and i have been to the beach this afternoon, expecting to eat at the "Last cafe" as we do sometimes.
We were a bit horrified from what we saw and... smelt.
This place is so nice and beautiful usually... i let you judge by the photos i ve taken... i m not sure this pollution is going to raise some concerns with the officials but if Aonang has the reputation of being polluted. there is no point in expecting tourists to continue to come here.

The Aonang's mosque is sunni and they'll celebrate Aïd this friday.
-
The south Thailand was very rainy this week and it should get better this week end for a few days, (dixit the forecasters).
However during the rainy season, the weather is hard to predict accurately.
