  1. I am a British  Citizen With a Thai Wife, I aim to return to the uk in October or November, my wife has been approved to come and live in the UK with me. What paperwork do I need to get on a flight for each of us and can we go from heath roe to my home in London in my daughters car when we arrive, without any extra problems or paperwork?

  2. My daughter in uk sent me this information.

From member of the Stanford hospital board. This is their feedback for now on Corona virus: The new Coronavirus may not show sign of infection for many days. How can one know if he/she is infected? By the time they have fever and/or cough and go to the hospital, the lung is usually 50% Fibrosis and it's too late. Taiwan experts provide a simple self-check that we can do every morning. Take a deep breath and hold your breath for more than 10 seconds. If you complete it successfully without coughing, without discomfort, stiffness or tightness, etc., it proves there is no Fibrosis in the lungs, basically indicates no infection. In critical time, please self-check every morning in an environment with clean air. Serious excellent advice by Japanese doctors treating COVID-19 cases: Everyone should ensure your mouth & throat are moist, never dry. Take a few sips of water every 15 minutes at least. Why? Even if the virus gets into your mouth, drinking water or other liquids will wash them down through your throat and into the stomach. Once there, your stomach acid will kill all the virus. If you don't drink enough water more regularly, the virus can enter your windpipe and into the lungs. That's very dangerous. Please send and share this with family and friends. Take care everyone and may the world recover from this Coronavirus soon. IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - CORONAVIRUS 1. If you have a runny nose and sputum, you have a common cold 2. Coronavirus pneumonia is a dry cough with no runny nose. 3. This new virus is not heat-resistant and will be killed by a temperature of just 26/27 degrees. It hates the Sun. 4. If someone sneezes with it, it takes about 10 feet before it drops to the ground and is no longer airborne. 5. If it drops on a metal surface it will live for at least 12 hours - so if you come into contact with any metal surface - wash your hands as soon as you can with a bacterial soap. 6. On fabric it can survive for 6-12 hours. normal laundry detergent will kill it. 7. Drinking warm water is effective for all viruses. Try not to drink liquids with ice. 8. Wash your hands frequently as the virus can only live on your hands for 5-10 minutes, but - a lot can happen during that time - you can rub your eyes, pick your nose unwittingly and so on. 9. You should also gargle as a prevention. A simple solution of salt in warm water will suffice. 10. Can't emphasis enough - drink plenty of water! THE SYMPTOMS 1. It will first infect the throat, so you'll have a sore throat lasting 3/4 days 2. The virus then blends into a nasal fluid that enters the trachea and then the lungs, causing pneumonia. This takes about 5/6 days further. 3. With the pneumonia comes high fever and difficulty in breathing. 4. The nasal congestion is not like the normal kind. You feel like you're drowning. It's imperative you then seek immediate attention.

  3. Hi Deepinthailand. Very greatfull for your speedy reply.  Can I go to my local fang office and do 60 day extention . or do I have to go to main office in Chiang Mai,my non o based on marriage runs until may 11and I am due  another 90 day on the 21 March . and does that mean I can do another 60 day close to 11 May and that  would make me have to get a 90 day some time in june. but where does this stop. I don't want to get in any trouble with immigration whats-so- ever. Thanks in advance for your help

  4. The last 2 years I have got my visa from savannakhet. I am married to a Thai lady, and have been paying 5000 baht each year . but I have to go out of Thailand  ,every 90 days to get a 90 day stamp on my return. My income from uk is greater than 400,000 a year , if i get a pension letter from the British embassy can I use it to do my 90 days at my local migration, but still go to savannakhet for my 1 year, My local is in Fang but my regional is at Chiang mai and I am told by some friends that I have to be there at 4am to get a ticket,I live 200Km from Chiang mai i'm 78 and don't fancy standing around immigration for 1/2 a day if I cant sit down, a visit to laos sounds much better. cost is not so important, does any one know the answer

  5. Hi , how about tipping a lt of strong drain cleaner down the offending hole, recommend sulphuric acid SG 1.8 . Dangerous stuff Treat it with great respect , it will eat almost any thing  including concrete if left long enough . but not glassed pipes  but may pass the melting point of plastic ones [gets very hot] so a little at a time , half a cup and 30-45min between doses and keep windows open in the room where you are working.

I do have a high power jet cleaner u can borrow for free but live in the far north of Chiang mai province, to far for most people. derek

  6. my last two visa were 7 days from Chiang Mai immigration . Then 30 days from Mae Sai, this is now running out and I need another 30 days . I am applying for uk visa for my wife and have only just started it , and would very much like to take her to uk with me for a couple of months, I don't have enough money to have 400000 in bank to get a married visa and put 100000 in her bank to get british visa, so I presume that I need to take a short plane ride to another country to get a visa for a couple of months. I live at Mae ai , Its in the middle of a triangle Chiang Mai ;; Chiang Rai. Mae sai .Can any one offer any sugestions as to where I should go to get a new visa and is it a guaranteed visa and I can drive if it is not to far or fly from either Chiang rai or chiang Mai. we own two properties One is valued at 2.5 mil, the other not finished building yet.but more than half way Again valued at approx 2.5 mil. or should we with all this collateral try to borrow money to put in bank and get Married visa. Both properties are in my wife name and the buildings can be put in my name if it would help. I would like some helpful suggestions from TV members please

  7. I have bean married to a thai lady for 6 years, She doesn't work and we live on my pensions from my country of birth, I am much older than her and will almost certainly die before her.I would like to pay into a pension fund for her so that she will have something after I am gone . One of my pensions allows me to transfer a part of my pension to her but it is a % of this pension and not really enough for her to live on. My total pensions add up to only 55000 baht per month so not really a great deal to spare . Is there a government pension that she can pay into to give her a something in her old age. She is no where near retiring age yet . But cant find a job in the nearest small town despite a bachelor degree and an IQ of 135. Ideally she would like a work at home job, she is very computer literate and can read write, speak fluent and touch type in both English and Thai, Also can use excel. I cant understand why she finds it so difficult to find a job. Even 7/11 don't want her as she is to old for them at 33 any help with knowledge of pension scheme gratefully accepted. we live in Mae Ai in north western Thailand and Have a nice house and don't really want to move.
