I live 15 km outside Chiang Mai . CAT have provided me with a very small dish 25 Cm aprox, pointing at their nearest tower 6 Km away and includes a 4 channel router I am getting 12 Mbits download speed @ les than 700 bt per month go and ask in their office on the Superhighway . Instalation about 8000.00

Hi I went this morning ,horendas trafic jam throu a minor bumper bender lost about an hour got there at 845 ticket machien not working found another que to join got a ticket about 930 got a seat this time ticket came up at 1.20 Transation tool les than 30 sec .why is it taking so long, last time i didnt get a seat and had to stand for 3 hours, bean doing this for 10 years 75 now and standing for three hours is tiring to say the least. two new officers behind the counter and and so much slower than the guy who has served me for the past 9 years, I am sure they need to double the staff increase the number of windows and qudruple the number of parking places. or how about cutting it down to two times a year one included with your yearly visa and one at 6months.just thinking about when I am 90+. sorry about the rant ive still got a pain in my but for sitting so long

Hi , Yes I have CAT, Where I live There were no telephone lines when I moved here .So I started with a cat dongle and upgraded every time CAT had somthing new. now have a microwave link, (small dish aprox 20 cm dia on a thin 10 m pole aimed at the nearest cat tower about 6 km away). Was ofered a choice of speeds and prices chose one on special offer by no meens the fastested 7.5 mb@631bhat inc vat per month bandwidth test show it meet its promise but of course never get that on a download ,however it is quite fast and I can stream video and tv. aerial cost 8000 with the pole and router with 4 outlets all used and wi fi .I would recomed this

two places I know .One is globel but my mate who bought one from there had to buy the drive gear that attaches to the gate and some other fittings and mains wireing seperatly an it worked out about the same as the guy who supplied and fitted mine some years ago for about 24k including wireing and stainless welding. He is on the road from airport to sangkanphang befor you reach the Ping river and is next door to a car dealership. I think it is a Masda Dealer but not sure. He has a very big fancy stainless gate permanently outside

Hi I bought one in pantip in CM. about 1 year ago, somewhere about 3000 bhat asked google for car cam in Chiang mai. and google came up with a shop in pantip. It came with mounting frame and it turns its self on when I turn the key and off 20 sec after turn off Plugs in cigar lighter it has a plug in memory I think I bought 8m chip which gives about 10 hours before atarting to overrite itself, Made in korea this one has only front view but website said new version has two cameras for front and back.this one has some night vision leds. .Make apears to be Echelon , model hd dv3, Quality exelent. bigist problem instructions in Korean and still havent managed to set date and time

Oven gaskets are normally made of silicon , the tubes that u can buy in almost any builders shop will probably do . try it before serching for fiberglass or dangerous asbestos

although fores fires are big polluter ,I think all the little ones probably add up to much more smog , How much for a pic of the farmer next door burning off his rice or cane field , I would gladly call it in for nothing if I thought that the fire brigade would put it out and the farmer would pay a small fine enough to persuade him from not doing it next year.

I am so fed up with Thai motorbikes cutting in front of me and having had one accident for which I was blamed nobody seriously hurt I went to pan tip them bought an in car video camera for 3000 bat which I use every time I am driving it comes on as soon as I turned the ignition on and goes off when I stop well worth the money suggests all frangs get one

Hi why not print them yourself if you got a computer with Microsoft office the sub program publisher will practically do it for you not very hard to do at all ask for help if you have any problems the program has dozens of different blank business cards to choose from all you need to do is fill in the spaces with your information print them onto a fairly thick photo glossy photo paper it prints 10 cards per a 4 sheet.

Hi I have lived here for 8 years .I came with a little more than you but not much ,but then the thai bat was 73/£. wih the help of some friend advice I bought a house from a bank reposetion >1m. I have a thai wife so no problem with land ownership. I have put in a deap water well. and built a small swimming pool. I bought a second hand car soon after I came ,its a honda and still running well, we also have two moterbicks one new and one second hand. Our only outgoings are 2000 for elect and about 30000 for foodand general living expences . including a part time maid. Our 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house is just out side of Chiang Mai. you are welcome to visit if you could consider coming this far north. I am not sure how to give u my email addresss as I dont want to post it on line

Hi I have just come back from Chiang Mai immigration, About a month ago I tried to make a booking for to day didn't get a ticket or a page to print, tried to go back and do it again but it would not let me but showed that the time slot for today was now booked. I gave up and went there at 07.20 this morning, signed in on the que paper at No 46, when the Que ticket giver outer arived i got no 16 for my one year non imig. visa renewal Que. The staff arrived and started processing applications by 10.00 they were up to No 8 ( 2 officers at 2 desks working on my Que). At a few minuits to ten (the time I had booked) my name was called out and I was fast forwarded .My interview took 40 min but the officer was interuped many times by staff and I can get it done for u bods, I felt quite sorry for her, then was told to sit and wait for my passport to be returned about another 30 min, got out at a few min after 11.00

Hi , I have a good reliable CAT conection . I live in the sticks 16 Km east of chiang Mai cat head office no phone line available where I live . CAT provide a Microwave link via a 20 Cm dish pointed at their nearest tower 7 Km away .I chose a medium speed pakage 7.5 Mbits download when I do a speed check It shows much higher at aprox 10.5 Mbits , of course the actual download speed is limited mostly by the uploading site, on a few ocations I have hade problems I get a call back in 2 hours to tel me the electricity was out at the transmitter or they sent enginers (3) the next day , strong wind had moved my dish, corected in 10 min no charge. cant fault the service I have had from them, the oridgnal instalation of dish on very thin 8Mt pole. cost about 8000 Baht compleat with 4 chanel out and wifi Router .Monthly cost 631 bhat
