  1. This is very disturbing and reflects the new lows to which Thailand has descended. That descent has been gradual over the past 30 or 40 years, it ebbs and flows, but violence seems to be more accepted today than in the past. I don't believe this is a red/yellow issue so much a reflective of poor education, endemic corruption, ridiculous ease of access to weapons, a national psyche that can't deal with the issues confronting it with its " big girl panties" on. We are going into a crisis here but it's not going to be solved by military intervention. That would just reset the ticking clock.

I had a laugh today reading an article in The Nation about the Venezuelan govts crackdown on soap operas on TV...gratuitous violence, weapons used rather than problem solving, shrieking and screaming, substance abuse, misogyny.....ring a bell?

Interesting on this thread that so many of those expressing outrage over this tragic death , showed ZERO concern about earlier , equally hideous events on the other side of the fence. In the valley of the blind, the one-eyed man rules ( a slight variation on the actual quotation)!

That is one of the most desciptive 7 words I have read for months. What is the solution...which nation has ever overcome without extreme violence.

  2. Survey: Less Than Half of Thais will go to vote

Suan Dusit Poll survey published this afternoon revealed that only 45.56% of surveyed people said they planned to vote if the election goes ahead.

19.8% said they would not turn out to vote, 15.78% said they might vote depending on the situation at that time, 14% said they were unsure if they would vote or not, and 5.33% said they were not likely to vote.

    http://dusitpoll.dusit.ac.th/polldata/2557/25571390540566.pdf

Don't take these Elitist-rooted Polls pretending to be public opinion too seriously.....For all intents and purposes, this Poll was put out by PDRC associates....NIDA Polls are another similar one.

You're 52 posts late in this thread as many members have already taken the results of the other poll posted earlier in the OP as the divine truth.

Still, I'm curious about your assertions. Could you share the names of the PDRC associates who control these polls? Who specifically are these "Elitist-rooted".

    .

I gave a link, more of a 'doorway' to help those who do no research. It should have led you to many doors...but it was removed without reason

  3. It's not only the vote buying. There are many other things which make a mockery out of democracy. For example, Khmer Rouge style red villages. There are around 10,000 villages where people are totally brainwashed into following one party. The do not question, they blindly follow. Between 3-3.5 million people live there. Furthermore, using violence against political opponents. Red mobsters behave in the exactly same way National Socialist Party storm troopers behaved. Those guys still live in 70's. From political point of view, they are totally immature. We're talking infants here, not adults.

Links to brainwashing, red mobsters and whatever else stains your shorts.

  4. Especially if they are paid, who's going to refuse 500 bht. ?

    regards Worgeordie

But as Korn admitted (as posted many times without some reading it), the Democrats paid out more than PTP last time around - so the pickings will be slimmer now with them not running!

As to not voting resulting in a lost vote, that is not so fanciful if the 'People's Council' replaces the elected Parliament.

But I think the usual suspects really knew these things already.

He didn't say they paid more to the people that's just red BS.

What he said was they spent more on election campaigning than PT.

PT just relied on unsustainable promises which are now coming back to haunt them.

Deputy Democrat party leader Alongkorn Ponlaboot in an interview that was broadcast on May 31, 2013 on John Winyu’s show (รองหัวหน้าพรรคประชาธิปัตย์กล่าวในรายการ “เจาะข่าวตื้น ตอน 99″) stated:

“Recently, if we speak directly, they [Puea Thai] use little money. I am not saying we [the Democrats] use more money than them [Puea Thai]. [host interprets with statement "they are using less money"]. It has become inverted [host interprets and says "They don't need to use so much money?"] I say if it is like that then don’t say we lost because of money”. “For the last election, it may be because we actually used more than them. Therefore, don’t talk about this issue anymore."

Where in that does it say that Dems spent more money on campaigning. When ever, previously, we have talked about PTP spending money at elections it is always in relation to alledged 'vote buying'. So it is fair to assume that Korns response was with the same theme. Dems buy more votes...how many more times will I have to post this.

  5. Chalerm is back in the spotlight, and he knows how to kick ass in Thailand. Charlerm will get this festering boil pushed up to its head fast. Chalerm is a genuine Thai leader.

Are you being serious, or just taking a mickey? So hard to tell.

Chalerm is there to take the heat and he just dont care. He will ask you to disperse....your expected lifespan will shorten if you keep resisting. Just whats needed to end this farce. Not violence just the thought of it amongst the geriatric clappers

  6. Delighted to hear he's taking action against the financiers and I hope he names them. I have already closed my two accounts with one bank that I do know is a major contributor. Wasn't much but my choice to show my disagreement with their policy. But the reference to Sondhi's warning is a bit noxious.

Exactly...lets all out the financiers. if Thaksin funded 2010 ..who is financing this. Come on yellows you are really quiet on this topic. Let there faces be known to the masses and if they run businesses then the individual has a choice to stop buying there product or services. Leo beer sales have fallen dramatically because of their undoubted support of this charade (no its not just the heiress it the whole family). Bangkok Bank was under attack by reds in 2010..so theres another.

AS for noxious comments against Sondhi..who cares. Another propped up by the amart..sentenced to over 20 years of jail and still talking his <deleted> on ASTV

  7. Can someone explain how PTP is to gain advantage in the election by declaring state of emergency ?

Well here's a thought. Declare a state of emergency which 'gives them the authority' to prevent the very unhappy farmers from mobilizing / joining the main anti-government protests.

    You want more?

With 6 million people on the streets of Bangkok, with the Shins voters turning against them, why not let let the ballotbox decide??coffee1.gif With everything in their favour, the Dems should win a landslide!!

And don't give me any crap about the SoE, which was only declared after Suthep and his thugs hindered the legal registration for the election!

Before you get started. I see the Shins for what they are: A extremely corrupt family addicted to power.

But this time they are playing according to the rules, so if the Thai voters make the bad choice to elect them again, so be it!!

Then the majority of the Thais have the government they deserve. For better or worse!!

Only thing we can hope for is, that the protests have been a wake-up call, so they realise, they can't get away with everything in the future?

As for the senator, who do you think appointed him? The rural poor?rolleyes.gif

Thats too easy..and why does this extremist like to fight tooth and nail against elected senators (like it was before the last coup). He was appointed after the army changed the constitution as a mouthpiece against changing the army sponsored constitution...Outed

  8. Paibul Nittawan and the other 39 extremists are referred to in the following manner

“Group of 40 Senators.” Outspoken, ultra-royalists aligned with the most right-wing groups and the military, this group is critical in opposing constitutional change and maintaining anti-democratic political positions.

Another one outed , sorry another 40 outed, as anti democratic right wing royalist extremists. ( Hope somebody is taking note of the names...just in case there is a revolution)

  9. My saviour? I have consistently said that Suthep shouldn't be involved in the next "government".

I don't care if PTP get elected again (although I would prefer the Democrats), but if the government want the protests to stop, then Yingluck needs to step down.

Yingluck stepping down DOES NOT mean that Suthep will instantly, or ever, be PM.

Let's face it, the Reds could put any candidate up to replace Yingluck and Suthep and his cronies would still accuse them of being run by the Shinawatra family, whether true or not.

The issue here is that the Bangkok snobs don't think the dirty farm folks' opinions are as important as theirs.

Bangkok snobs? It's the red shirts on here that keep banging the drum that the red shirt vote is more important than letting anyone question one man and his family rape the country and it's finances and be above the law. As long as it's a democratic vote they are happy for him to do what he wishes.

But hey he got the majority vote so what's important or relevant of a Bangkokonian who's seeing his taxes disappear into the pockets of a chosen few as long as it's not us that don't pay taxes.

That's snobbery, ignorance and dam_n right cruel too.

Sent from my iPhone using ThaiVisa app

You may need to do some research. Check what happened when the likes of the Europeans and others came here and had money to invest. They could only invest within a certain radius of Bangkok (thats why Bkk is 40 times bigger than the next biggest city in Thailand, which is Nontaburi) . Lack of investment, at that time, in all parts of Thailand is the reason Thailand is still in this cycle of Elections and coups. Now who insisted on all the investment being spent around BKK ?

Policies like this created the infamous Amart, who still benefit from those policies and now pay clowns like Suthep to protect their "privledges" from the dark prince Thaksin, who may redistribute their entitlement

  10. Serious announcment. In the Photo, one of the four looks to have a Smug Look on their Face

Dont you just love Chalerm. Poke fun at him at your leisure. This guy is the real deal when it comes to doing the 'dirty jobs'. One who stayed loyal to Thaksin when others (Newin) took the money. Love him or hate him he doesn't care. True mafia. You need some big stones to go head to head with this guy.... 'Payback' for 2010 is written all over his face.

Suthep will lead the march into the police lines....Who is he kidding..For Christ sake Suthep...run..run now..run far...Chalerms after you

  11. Suthep never had any intention, like Thaksin, of cleaning up corruption if he got to power because he would , like Thaksin be one of the biggest losers. A few simple changes would start the ball rolling

    1. Remove impunity from Mp's in Office

    2. Reduce the fines payable for libel and slander by 99.999% of their current levels

    3. Abolish 112 and replace it with something internationally acceptable

Just doing these three things will remove the fence that has allowed too many criminals to go about their business( or illegal activities) in all walks of Thai Life...on both sides

  12. what a joke this govt is, they cannot handle the fact they are on their last legs and after declaring that they will not invoke this unless there is more violence they do it. This once again shows how pathetic the ptp are, they have no idea what to do and are reaching for straws. Lets see how long yl and the capo people can keep their hands clean from the blood, they are now responsible for any deaths.

pray tell with your warped logic and hatred you can possibly blame the government for any deaths in the future with regards to this now illegal protest.

  13. Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Why would PDRC not want pics of them being shot at and bombed.

Lots of photos of cameras with black bags on them.

Just seen (real life) white shirts going off to somewhere. V middle class, nice cars etc. Hope they put an end to this thuggery.

Anybody fancy holiday in Sutheps thuggish heartland? Lot of nasty pics of armed guards strutting about. But, the army seem to like this image of thailand photo'd and sent around the world... Who are we to argue.

Police done all they can in this I woud say. Obstructions, lies, red-herrings, cameras with bags on, late route changes, Army and thugs trampling crime scene.

Done more than enough. Certainly enough to keep the Army from coming in smile.png

There were photos of police covering cameras with black plastic in December last year prior to the first protest.

If you dont have links to that please edit your post

  14. Here he is. 500 000B in reward

    What a bastard.

All sides need to denounce this assassin without reservations.

    angry.gif

Thats the problem. Most not accepting this act as barbaric are on both sides but mainly on the side of the PDRC. Count the thread for defensive, anti Thaksin did it and attempts to redirect the main topic and the yellows come on top. This to me suggests they know who is guilty and I think we may find, upon being apprehended, he may be paid for by ........

  15. I suppose as soon as they have nabbed him, Khaosod will be running a story to the tune of 'bomber admits paid 100,00 baht by PDRC to bomb stage'.

They will name police officers by name who don't exist, and relay word for word statements from the officers that equally do not exist. They will be the only ones running the report as usual.

Now gentlemen.... what am I bet?

Considering that Khaosod is the darling of Thaksin and Yingluck, one could only draw the conclusion that they are actually paid for each fake report by the same. I doubt they do it off their own back, they will want something for it. Making up news in a highly defaming manner has got to be pretty illegal even here in Thailand.

A government made up of people willing to pay off media to print defamatory lies, tells me that this government is also capable of paying to have these attacks done in the first place.

You are running scared with that rant. Its full of diddly squat and readers here should not confuse fact with agenda. Lets wait until the suspect is apprehended and lets see whose side he is on. Then rant like a looney and lace your post with "...Thaksin is the bogeyman"

  16. is thida an idiot or what, since when was the protest attempting to shut down the public transport system, they were blocking intersections so unless tranis now go down the middle of the road she is just a bit off. Maybe the reds would do it as they dont give a sh*t about the public or what they want, but suthep never planned to, what a loser that woman is, she just wants her name in the news againblink.png .

Typical rant by a yellow. Trying to direct the thread away from the main topic. If you had accused the Thaksinistas of perpetrating this atrocious act then thats acceptable (on your planet anyway)

  17. Day old news already. Now three murdered and 33 injured. Both Police and Military, were there to investigate, right after the incident,as seen on live Television, so I don't know, why people keep saying that police wasn't allowed to investigate

as far as dwindling numbers go, look on Bluesky.tv, where you can see things, as they happen, not hear about it later, altered, through various propaganda machines wai2.gif

And what is Blue Sky Tv...if not a propaganda machine. No adverts and financed by who.....interesting
