Is there any place in town that does REAL freshly made hash browns? I don't mean those frozen hockey pucks deep fried. I could go for some real hash browns.
I've got the recipe for Waffle House hash browns ( and sausages) if you're interested.
Scattered, smothered and covered and no, it's not just cutting potatoes and frying them.
Buckwheat, I would like the recipe for waffle house hash browns, I would like to try to make them myself, something I've been wanting to try for a long time. If you would be so kind to post the recipe.
I'm on travel right now and don't have access to my database but as soon as I get back Sunday, I will post both recipes here as requested as well as via the 16 pm's I received.

It has been discussed at length for the past 3 days here

Oh darn, bad timing. I'm stucked here in Florida at the moment.
Always wanting to meet you TV-members.
I'll make it next time either the party held in CM or BKK.
It would be nice if the party scheduled way months ahead, I bet you'll attrack more bigger crowd from overseas.
George, are you listening ?
If you are a regular reader of Thaivisa, you'll know that Thaivisa had 7 free BBQ parties this year all over Thailand and each one of then had 60 days advanced notice. (in one instance 75 days). We didn't meet ONE member who flew in from anywhere in the world for some free beer and ribs.
We were presented with this New Years Eve opportunity 4 days before we went public with it after working out all the details around the clock. These things just don't happen overnight.
We'll be having a party in Chiang Mai in April, so please send us a copy of your airline ticket so we can make sure we have room for you.
Hi 'Buckwheat'
The problem with me (me only in this case) is that I do not spend time on this forum as much as I want to. Also when I'm on the road, I try not to be on TV, so I end up overlook the informations on here, missing thousands posts.
Once while I was in TL ( for the wedding of the neice), I happened to spot an invitation for BBQ held at Taskers, CM. The date was 5 days after my flight back to US. Really wanting to attend this party, I called the airline ticket office to move my flight date to one week later, no problem I got it, but hubby didn't approve the new schedules, so I had to fly out on the original date, missing having a good time with my fellow forumers.
I like challenge, if I happen to be the first one who fly half way around the world to
be at this BBQ party, what prize I would get beside beers and ribs ? :jerk:
George, thanks again for adding this invitation in my PM.
Once again to finalize this discussion,
This is the party sign up list, not a list of those who
wont make it,
cant make it,
refuse to make it,
possibly can make it etc.
It is very simple and straight forward. You are invited to a party...if you can make it, please sign up. If you can't make it there's no need to post anything at all. There is no RSVP in the invitation. It makes it much easier to keep track of who is actually coming as well as identifying those who are not eligible for 1 reason or another and remove them from the list.

IS IN.
cheers
Feel free to sign up for yourself.
The rest of your posse can sign up for themselves.
Please read the invitation.

is there a dress code
Yes,
No flip flops
No Chang cutoff beer vests
No Tropical floral shorts
No shorts with dress shoes and black socks
No "Hello Kitty" ensembles
Its a New Years Eve party, so dress as you would expect people to dress if you were hosting a party at your home. Casual is fine.

Spend your New Years Eve in Bangkok and party all night long with Thaivisa.
Invitation HERE
The non-topical, nonsensical replies have again been removed.
This is an announcement to invite the CM residents who would like to attend and to direct them to the sign up page.
It is not a platform for airing gripes about Bkk or where you would rather be.
If it needs to be purged a third time, it will come with a free all expense paid holiday, courtesy of Thaivisa.
For our good friends and great members of the CM area, we hope to see you at the party if you are in the area.

Mine was deleted and I am pretty sure I have more than 5 posts?
No, actually it was deleted because we are looking for sign ups here, not new material for Channel 7's comedy hour.
If you're not sure how many posts you have, please contact support[at]thaivisa.com and ask for assistance.

Oh my. I would have loved to come, I've just arrived in BKK and know few people here. Is reading everyday helpful posts by others not enough? I don't understand...
p.s. Plus, if I can't come because I hadn't 5 posts by yesterday, what was the point in getting the invitation?
The invitation was sent to inform all eligible members about the party.
We have done this now for 2 years as a way to say "thank you" to the Thaivisa community for their wonderful support.
Basically, these are thank you parties and not recruiting drives, although you should have plenty of posts for the next party and will be welcome.
We have brought he parties to the members rather than staying in 1 place and having the members come to us. The cost of feeding and giving free drinks to the thousands of members who have attended over the past 2 years is staggering as is the transportation costs, lodging etc.
It is only fair that the guy who foots the bill should have a say in some entry requirements or we would have every balloon chaser in Asia appearing at the front desk.
We will check memberships at the check in desks as well as post counts as to when the 6th post was made, along with checking the sign up list as we go along for members with more than 1 user name or formally banned members signing up.
That way we know that everyone who attends the party is a deserving member, just like you will be for the next party.
I hope this explains things a bit.

MP Kudep Saikrajang on Wednesday ruled out the possibility for the Democrats to form the next coaliton government on the ground that six coalition parties remain firm on their alliance.
"It is more realistic if the Democrats want to join the six-party alliance - this is very possible and the coalition is open for negotiations," he said.
Kudep was reacting to a call from the business associations for the coalition switch in order to overcome the political turmoil.
Even if the Democrat Party leads the next coalition, it will not have sufficient votes to ensure stability, he said.
