I stand corrected. The figure I quoted came from a virologist at Chulalanonkorn. Obviously a different time scale. I'll go and edit my original post. Thanks.
No worries, I look at worldometers for countries I'm interested in going to or have been to. I noticed it had gone up a lot.

I just Googled "Science Behind How Face Masks Prevent Coronavirus" and got About 333,000,000 results (0.62 seconds).
Suggest you try it sometime too.
Stay safe bro.

Thailand has a test rate of 3,000 per million people. The UK by comparison has a rate of 2,067,509 per million (2 tests per head).
no prizes for guessing who will find the most cases.
It's 116,000 per one million according to worldometers up from 17,000 just over a month ago. 3rd larger wave due to increased testing.

I have thought about doing ASQ this year, but this is confirms it, no way!

Prison camp field hospitals for the asymptomatic complete with hard beds, another great selling point for Thai tourism.

Yes no problem handing them into a bank, bag them up into 100s and sometimes they weigh them or count them, sometimes they don't even bother doing that.

UK media and government won't have anything bad said about this vaccine, Daily Mail pulled a story about it, HMAS Sydney.

10 days instead of 14, getting better. 7 days quarantine with just a negative PCR and I'm in.

This is a joke right? Kenya had 528 positives today and the graph is on an uptrend. Tanzania, if you go there then forget trying to get back to the UK in a hurry as its banned all travellers from there.
528 out of 54 million, not much is it. I already pointed out that Tanzania is on the red list, you need to be in a green list country for 10 days after being in Tanzania, seeing as Kenya is next to it hardly a problem. Kenya 410, 181, 325, 152, 345, 331, 528, looks like an average of 328 per day which is nothing. Depends if you are scared of going anywhere which I'm not.

Thing is i get it nobody likes the travel restrictions and lockdowns. But it makes sure that hospitals can cope. The UK and Netherlands came again close to having problems. Not to mention of all operations that were postponed because of the COVID epidemic.
The problems are far larger then you like to acknowledge. Nobody wants to hurt the economy. For the west to go this far there is surely a threat. We seen in the US what bad managing did and the UK was also bad. Italy is also a good example. The Netherlands came close to a shortage of ICU beds. Many operations postponed ect. Overworked doctors and nurses.
Oh sorry I'm not mainstream media enough for you. I'm in the UK now, never came close to having any serious problems and still non essential shops are closed, no bars or restaurants open. The UK's problem come from it's overweight and obese population, same as the USA and western Europe. Coming back to Thailand with 14 day quarantine is not a good option so I'm going to Kenya next month to escape the boring UK. Kenya pretty much zero covid and the same applies to neighbouring Tanzania which is a red list country because they don't bother testing for covid anymore.

No just read how good Brazil is doing.... If you don't do something your country will be overrun with the virus. Its a bit tiresome of course opening everything up would be good but then you got people dying like flies like in Brazil. Do your research a bit more please.

Plenty of countries have not been "over run", in fact quite the opposite with minimal health policies, but that's down to the demographics of the countries. Places with high levels of obesity and overweight people is where the problem is.

Nah. The virus didn't destroy economies. Stupid megalomaniacs destroyed countries economies. And buddy - there ain't no cure for those terminal cases of Stupidity. And those Stupidity "prions" infecting the elite classes are highly contagious and infect virtually every petty tyrant and power-hungry "leader" wanna-be globally.
There are exceptions. The most hated China and Russia seem to have their countries controlled and still operating as they West, especially the Commonwealth countries, are rolling out a society killing style of repression that would make Orwell turn in this grave and say, "Told ya so!" Which I find - fascinating. Places like Australia go fully 1984 Orwell and then point fingers at China and Russia, and them scream at the top of their lungs - "Evil Totalitarians!"
It's pretty comical except imho it's a prelude to WWIII. Just saying.....I'll add to this, the speed in which videos are removed from YouTube with less than 1000 views that discuss ongoing matters in relation to legal aspects in various countries that are being brought. This is why I read information from all over the world and watch videos from different sources. Some of the best videos are from local YouTubers showing the economic mess that has been created, Spain's tourist resorts look very similar to Thailand's, closed bars, shops and restaurants.

Sounds lovely, surely a healthy 28 year old doesn't need a covid vaccine in a country with hardly any covid...

Try looking at entry requirements for countries, many accept just a negative PCR to enter. https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice

No thats not what they are saying.
If someone were to make up what ‘they’ are saying..... then.. ‘Basically’, what they are saying is, they want to prevent the further spread of Covid-19 and request the cooperation of tourists visiting from other countries which may have had greater exposure to Covid-19 that those who have remained within Thailand.
There are so many people making pathetic crying noises about their rights - this is a track and trace app at a time of Global pandemic... some proper tin-foil-hatters in this thread...
As a tourist you have to be tracked after 14 nights of quarantine because you maybe a foreign virus risk is this what you are saying?
Hardly tin foil hat seeing as all of this was mentioned in various circles last spring, this tracking nonsense comes from the CCP. Thailand first said about tracking apps for tourists in February 2020 I remember discussing it with a friend in BKK.

Just now, DjSilver said:1984 all over again. Big brother is watching you. However, tourists doesn't wanna go to Thailand and those who go there might go with different O-visas and than you are not officially a tourist and doesn't need this 1984-app.
Well, I'm thinking of going to Kenya for a month, Nairobi, Malindi and Mombasa, just a negative PCR to enter and 3 month visa. Thailand won't attract tourists with these ideas, maybe that's the idea.

Well, I wasn't sure about the 14 nights of quarantine and having a tracking app on my phone has made me sure, I won't be bothering. Clearly they don't want tourists anymore which is a shame, there are other places in the world to go instead.

Africa does not have a huge number of deaths - especially not compared to Europe or the Americas. Yesterday 461 deaths - more than 4000 in Europe
Cases in south Africa are dropping like a stone - even with the new variant.
Yes, Africa is looking good and funnily enough no variants in Africa or South America apart from the one's exported to Europe.
I don't see much in the way of changes to the entry policy into Thailand until Q3, so I'll be going to Kenya in April, Belarus in the summer and Thailand later this year if they let people in with just a negative PCR cert.
