Reminds me of the one where customs had an eye on this bloke for 2 years. \every month he used to come through customs with 7 suitcases. Trouble is every time they stopped him he had nothing. Just a few things in each case. Turns out he'd been smuggling suitcases.

I ask this because so many posters seem to have that attitude.
Looking at so many threads there is nothing but critisism for just about everything pertaining to Thailand or Thai people.
Huge generalizations on a population that appear to be seen as tolerated objects rather then Human beings, and of course totally untrustworthy and unworthy of your attentions, ( take a good long look in the mirror ), yet you continue to grace them with your presence .
You just know Farangs could do much better if they controlled Thailand, yet your own countries are in a mess and they are run by Farangs.
I know that if everybody agreed on every subject the forum would be pretty boring, but I am quite sure that most of you cannot really agree with all the bad posts about Thais and Thailand, I think if you do you must be very unhappy in LOS, and I must wonder why you do not leave.
Why torture yourselves by staying?
And this is not a Troll post, it is based on YOUR posts showing a superior attitude, which I find amusing and daft.

Of course I am not popular, if I wanted to be popular I would join in with the Thai bashing and the " I am farang therefore I must be right " brigade.

I knew a bloke that got 9 months for a similar offence going back to UK on a Singapore Airlines flight.
Alcohol should be strictly limited on Flights in my humble opinion.

Why would it be funny?
When I was in Uk many years ago some transvestite walked into the pub and was promptly kicked out by the landlord, he done no wrong, he just did not fit in with the status quo, and everybody was barracking the guy. I have witnessed gay people being harassed by yobs also in UK high streets, I have never witnessed this in Thailand
So why the surprise, you think Thailand is intolerant and transvestites get a bad deal here compared with a place like UK?
You must know a different Thailand to the one I know.

Maybe there are no more here than elsewhere, it's just that in other countries they have to keep low key about it, in Thailand nobody cares.
Same as with gays, in some countries they are discriminated against or ridiculed, maybe in Thailand there is more tolerance and acceptance so people do not have to hide what they really are.

I hate seeing cig butts on the street. I saw a half dressed fatty flick his still smoking tip onto the street outside Major ratchiotin. Noticing a police hat-chair-thing to my right I turned to my friend and said very loudly, "I wish that guy wouldn't drop his rubbish on the street like that.."
Sure enough, the plea was heard and two boys in brown halted him a few feet down the road.
Fear me and my power.

Being a half dressed fatty should punishable by a fine anyway, add to that the littering, justice was served.

From a Detached suberban house and a BMW car in UK to a Fan room and an old Honda Dream in Pattaya, getting older, getting fatter, getting greyer and balder, weak bladder, impotence, senility creeping in.............

You must have very little knowledge about how open and transparent issues like this are handled in the western world. Maybe 3rd world areas like Asia, Africa, South America but you would NEVER have something like this happen anywhere in the west. Sheesh.
Europeans never would stoop to creaming money from charity would they, I mean, it's only possible in other places...........
ooops................£100m missing from lost charities , these things never happen in the west. Its only 7 Billion Baht

Booma, just head along to Pattaya and see the sights there, the sad looking farangs sitting at a table outside a mama shop drinking beer Chang, same table everyday, with other farangs that look equally lost and bewildered.
I doubt many of these guys actually thought it would come to this, but it has, and it is the same for many many others........
They once loved Thailand, understandably so,it was so different to what they were used to back in their own countries, so they sell up, break ties and clear out to live the dream, that dream often ends up a nightmare, by the time they realise that the grass is certainly not always greener elsewhere, it's too late for them.
They become cynical of all things Thai, they deeply mistrust and resent the very people they once thought were so wonderful, they think that the Thais are out to get them, ( minorities the world over have the same paranoid feelings ), they blame Thailand and Thai people for their own failures, gone are the days of having fun, now they are full time residents of 'Self Pity City'.
It is not difficult to understand why there are so many suicides.

Obviously another farang ( that owes the Police for whatever reason ), grassing up his mates. Farangs in Thailand just cannot be trusted in any way shape or form, that's for sure.
Very nice class of farang in the Kingdom it seems, eventually Thailand may make the Visa process for coming into Thailand as difficult as it is for Thai's wishing to travel to Farang countries.
The criminal element coming into Thailand makes it bad for all decent farangs like me.

Earthquake felt in Phuket
BANGKOK: -- No damage was reported today after tremors from an earthquake in the Indian Ocean were felt on Thailand's Andaman island of Phuket.....
That's two earthquakes and I didn't feel either of 'em. If I do feel one, it's going to be big...

There was a reasonable tremor in Tokyo also about 4.30am wednesday morning, enough to have woken people up, my building was swaying

I am not surprised to hear this.
Money has been reported missing elsewhere outside of Thailand.
My only regrets is telling concerned friends and relatives to donate to the Red Cross when it hit. I should have done more background research.
Lady in red, you are right, money has gone missing in other places , not only Thailand. But this will give the Thai people bashers something to moan about again, like it does not happen in their own countries, yea right.
UK, USA, Australia are corruption free zones full of honest people, makes you wonder why their prison systems are close to breaking point though.
For the Thais to actually come out with this statement about missing money is commendable, in the West it would just be covered up.
