3 days ago, the 18th March, I got a pink bill. Never had a pink one before.
No idea if it is real or fake.
Yep i had the same pink bill for March, wifey phoned our local PEA and they confirmed they had changed the colour to pink, so OK.

That's because you are wrong.
The bank book and photocopies are requured for transfer of stamps.
BTW the balances were very carefully checked.
Not in my IO at Korat they were not when i had my stamps transferred in 2015. My ''ridiculous'' comment was aimed at the requirement by your IO, i just can't see the need for such information but i do understand that some IO's appear to act on their own requirements.

I'm telling you what occurred to me 2 weeks ago at CW.
I had the bank book with me as I had read reports of CW requiring this for transferring visa info and stamps from old to new pp.
Please post facts rather than anything Ridiculous
and what i posted was not facts that you stated....

Recently obtained new pp and had stamps transferred..
CW made me photocopy all pages of bank books.
Perhaps a worry for someone using an agent for annual extensions

Being Oz I cannot obtain the income letter
If I could, then thinking compliance with the money in bank requirements and embassy letter and perhaps couple of months transfers would be sufficient.
Someone who has actually done the process can outline what they did.

Ridiculous, WTF has a bank book got to do with passport renewal and stamp transfers ?
Just a thought OP, have you ensured that your monthly income transfers are designated by your Thai bank as coming from overseas ?

Thanks for that.
That is the second one in the last hour that shows DWP will and do prosecute and penalise, those they catch.
The new bill and powers will just make it easier for the DWP
I never got caught, i informed them of my change of address to Thailand but i was late in doing so, i was totally honest with them but they showed no mercy.

So it was taken out of your state pension, and you were not receiving any other benefits?Would it be ok if I repost the first 2 pages as pictures, as not sure many would want to download to read?
Yes taken out of my state pension and i was and never have been in receipt of any other benefits.
Feel free to repost as pictures any of the download pages.

That makes interesting reading and should worry a few on here, who think themselves untouchable.
So you were fined and had to repay the over payment
Without being rude, can I ask if you appealed or had to make a payment or was it taken from your pension payments?
Yes i was fined £50 and also had to repay the overpayment. This was recovered from my pension payment. I never appealed as i was guilty of receiving the monies when not entitled.

I went to the local Bangkok Bank branch where I opened the account. They could only give me a 6 month statement on the spot. I asked for two 6 month statements for the two different 6 month periods, but they told me their system doesn't allow them to enter a date older than 6 months.
Cost is 100 Baht for the 6 month statement. A 12 month statement takes 3 business days to order from the head office at a cost of 200 Baht.
You can download a 12 month statement from your Internet banking and it gets emailed to you instantly at no cost. But as we know, this kind of statement does not have a bank stamp on it and likely won't be accepted. I downloaded one and it looks identical to ones printed by the bank at the branch, just no stamp or signature.
I get a 12 month statement from Bangkok bank to support my 65K monthly income retirement extension and its never signed or stamped. Korat immigration accept it no problem.

I have AN on Opera.
I've been getting often these No More Activity for a long time now.
I just hit the Reload button (curved arrow top left) and scrolling gets back to normal after reloading.
Thanks, just tried hitting the 'Reload button' but it still says 'No more activity'

I'm now getting ''There is no more activity to display'' after 28mins when there clearly should be. I've tried Firefox and Chrome both have the same problem.
Anyone else getting the same problem ?

I spoke to an HMRC adviser using their chat service yesterday about the same thing. (See my posts above). The advisor told me that HMRC are acting on info from the DWP. So the DWP is providing the wrong figures to HMRC. I asked the advisor if there was some way they could flag my account to indicate my pension was frozen, so this wouldn't happen again and was advised they could not. I got my tax codes fixed yesterday for 23/24 and 24/25 while I was chatting to them via the web.
Thanks for your explanation, quite unbelievable that the DWP is causing this problem.
How can they arrive at a figure to inform HMRC and not actually pay me the same figure ? Beggars belief......

I checked my online HMRC Personal Tax Account (PTA) today to find out whether or not they'd presumed my frozen pension for 24/25 had received the annual increase when, of course, it has not. Sure enough, the pension figure had been increased by 8.3% and my tax code had decreased = more tax.
I called HMRC on +44 135 535 9022 and eventually spoke to someone after a half-hour wait and that awful 'music'. She initially said that they'd have to wait until officially advised by DWP that the pension was frozen before any correction could be made. When I pushed it a bit, she spoke to somebody and came back to say that, since the figure for frozen pension was the same in 24/25 as it was for all previous years that I've received the pension, they could change it there and then which she did.
Ten minutes after completing the call, I rechecked my PTA and the correction had already appeared there.
If you have this same problem and your pension amount is unchanged, ask the advisor to check because they CAN make the correction immediately if pension amount is unchanged
Yep sure enough i have also checked my HMRC PTA and they are also proposing that i receive the 8.3% pension increase for 24/25 when my pension is frozen.
What is going on here ? HTF can they get this wrong ? Now who is at fault ? The DWP know i don't receive the increases and have'nt done for years so why are they informing the HMRC that i am ? or is it a case of the HMRC just applying the % increase to ALL STATE PENSIONS irrespective as to whether your pension is frozen or not.
This is happening every year for me and i have to amend the online HMRC PTA statement to reflect that i'm not receiving any increase.
I do the online method rather than phone them and be waiting up to 45 mins on average to talk to someone.
Any of you guys that phone the HMRC have you ever asked them why this is happening ?

How can the figure be the same for 24/25 as in all previous years if they have imposed the 8.3% increase for the 24/25 tax year ?

When i was a couple of months short of the 12 months income statement from my Thai bank for my retirement extension i was offered the opportunity to just pay 15K and the problem would go away. I just went back to my bank and got the two months statement that was missing.
Its good to know there are ways to solve problems imo.
