Unattractive old men, talking about how attractive/un-attractive bar girls are.
How ironic!
You should realize you are unattractive, the first moment you have to pay for it!
Everyone pays one way or another..

My appointment at Jomtien seemed to mean nothing but that was about 4 months ago. Please let us know if the appointments are now helpful.
That was my experience also..

Yesterday I got a recorded message about a car infraction when I don't own one and today another about a SCB bank account which I don't have either. What will it be tomorrow lol?
I guess if these crooks randomly call enough people some poor soul will be caught off guard..

Usually that is the same day as the extension date.
I've done 9 extensions and never once been foolish enough to leave it until the last day..

I too had no issues with Immigration at Pattaya, they were efficient and the young lad who gathered the relevant docs for me was polite and friendly. Best it has been for me in 14 years.
My experience also.I have also seen lots of customers who were clueless and argumentative when obviously wrong.Even one guy who turned up for help without his passport!

Feel sorry for you. You care if some people call a "Non-imm O visa extension based on retirement" a "Retirement visa" for short lol
It's simply about avoiding confusion which can mislead people.Common sense really.

With this show 800k 3 months after getting the retirement extension, does this mean you have to stay a minimum of 7 months without a re-entry permit?
(30 days visa exempt + 90 days non-imm O + 90 days to show 800k still there)
Why would it?I am on a retirement extension and haven't needed a re-entry permit since 2016 as I haven't left Thailand since then but I could have multiple times in any year had I chosen to.

Who cares if it's called a retirement visa, which is effectively what it is...pedantic much?

Isn't the exact amount required 65000 Baht a month?
As stated already try using the combination method I believe some offices allow it.

I agree, I think the increase to 1.2 Million is more realistic, but that said, wasn't the last increase 4 fold? From 200.000 to 800.000? So if they do that again, it would mean 3,2 Million ????
Even that will be beyond many but you could well be right.

One reason this is unlikely to happen is that about 90% of people doing legal visa extensions via the money in the bank method will be unable/unwilling to comply and thus either leave Thailand or go down the illegal agent route.Either way there will be many billions of baht withdrawn from thai banks at a time when the economy can ill afford it.

Just to further prove nothing is predictable here I just waved my ticket at the door and 'open sesame' I was in and out inside one minute.

When I went to pick up my passport the day after I extended, I bypassed the line (holding up my claim check for the passport and saying "picking up passport" as I passed). No problem at the entry door and I went straight to Desk 8 - no need to check with desk a the entrance.
Good info.Just hope there is a different guy standing just inside the right hand door because he wasn't letting anyone in for any reason at all

What was your total time at immigration? Did you make it out by 3? Sounds like it was busier than when I went.
They let me through to desk 8 when I went to pick up my passport just by waving my yellow card.
It was busier I was there about 90 minutes in total from 1.15 (I was early) to 2.45.I hope waving my card works on Thursday as the gatekeeper seemed a tad unwilling to listen to me and the wife when we tried to enter today.

Seems that the appointment system has been unable to cope with the sheer number of people attending immigration at Jomtien.Probably be ok later when the numbers drop but of course there won't be much need to use it then..

You should be able to get the passport outside where they have 90-day report sign. At least you got the extension on the same day. They told me I have to come back on the last day of my entry stamp to do my extension.
Thanks for the tip and sorry you have the stress of going to the last day.

After standing in the main queue were you able to get queue number and get the extension on the same day or they turned you away and told you to come back later?
I got a queue number and completed my extension same day...have to return Thursday for passport.. wondering will i be made to stand in the long queue for that?

You can book an appointment via the main Immigration web sit selecting Jomtien/Chonburi. Bit fiddly but it allows you to select the service you need the day and the time. I always select 1pm as that is when they reopen after lunch so I am first in the queue and usually walk straight in and up to the desk.
Queues outside are mainly Covid extensions
Well i had an appointment and I was prevented from going inside and they made me stand 30 minutes in the main queue outside..

I need to produce a resident certificate and last time I was there I remember an app to book your appointment. Is this a viable option or only for show? Should I just go there and que up?
I'll let you know in a few hours.

I wrote my Thai will back in 2014 making my Thai wife the sole beneficiary and executor of my estate using an online will template.I then had a copy translated into Thai and had both witnessed by 2 close friends and keep this along with the English original together. The English original takes precedence if there are interpretation problems. At the local Banglamung Amphur we were informed we didn't need to register these as my Thai wife would automatically be my beneficiary and I didn't even need to make a will.
