I'm seeing this concentrate on Lazada. How many litres of concentrate would I need to make 20 litres of wine? Sorry if I sound like a n00b, my last time making wine was in 2008, so I don't remember much about the process.
I used to make a lot of wine back in the day in UK but I never used grapes!
There was always plenty of "fruit" on the hedgrows and in peoples gardens.
Gooseberries, elderberries, blackberries etc. etc.
I've thought about making some since I've been out here but too lazy to do it!
My initial thought was to use pineapples, oranges or mangos for white wine.
These shouldn't be too expensive for quantities!
It's worth a try!

Incorrect, it certainly can properly managed, but it isnt properly managed and nature will control the population eventually
It is said that the population of earth can be accommodated on the Isle of Wight!
Would you want to be there with them??

In 1800 the population of planet earth was estimated at one billion!
Now we are at eight billion!!
When are people going to realise that planet earth CANNOT sustain all this population??
It's because of this population explosion that the world is being contaminated!
Maybe we should be pouring contraceptives into the water supply??

I may be way behind with information here but I was under the impression that when entering Thailand a foreigner needs covid insurance up until their visa needs extending?
Sorry if this is out of context but I've not been following matters as I have virtually given up on leaving the country this year.
Any information to bring me up to date would be appreciated!

It very much looks like some people never have any trouble when extending their visa! I used to be one of them! For about 14 years I used to fill out what was required, attach all copies needed and complete with a letter from the British embassy confirming my pension apply for my extension. Then the British embassy along with several others decided they were no longer going to supply "pension letters."
I wasn't sure what to do about this when it was time to extend my visa but I got all the paperwork together and had NO trouble with my extention!
The next year I did all the same thing, in fact I had more paperwork than the year before as I also had statements from my English bank!
This is when immigration started to find things that to them did not add up!
"Your pension is not paid in on the same day each month!"
"Can you increase your pension by a few thousand baht each month?"
These had not been any problem at all for 14 years!
When I asked if they could help me the only option offered was "Go and see a visa agent!"
So I have used a visa agent for the last 2 years!
And before someone mentions 800k baht in the bank, I haven't got that but my balance never drops below 400k !
When I used the "combi" method this was accepted, Yearly pension total plus money in bank equaled 800k.
As I'm married to a Thai lady I could use the married visa option but I was put off doing this in the first couple of years I was living here!
I am in the position that at my next visa extention I might be able to raise the required 800k but I am unsure if the fact that I have used a visa agent in the past will affect my being accepted this time.
I would rather pay a visa agent than be humilliated at immigration!!

The OP says he has 800k+ in the account.
Just bank letter required confirming account and balance.
(money in account at least 3 months before application)
If your forum name allows to assume you are French: just forget it.
Some nationals will not get a confirmation of their income from their embassy.
So now they have to transfer monthly amount of at least 65k Baht.
But as I wrote: irrelevant for the topic starter.
Please do NOT assume what my nationality may be!!
If you don't want to answer the question then don't!!

Previous 12 months transactions to show you complied with requirements.
Can you tell us exactly what you mean by this as Jomtien Imm. have uncanny ways of translating things!

I'm sorry if this question has been asked before but today is the first time I've used this new layout and there are 40 pages to go through!
I'm British ( English ) the old system let you scroll down and just tick British!
This system gives you 2 choices, British HK which I am not and British Colonist.
Am I a British Colonist?

Which immigration office.
FWIW Jomtien. But I have used visa agent for the last 2 years because I was fed up with immigration finding the least little problem to deny me an extention.
Before that I had no problems for approx. 14 years using letter from enbassy and money in bank combo!
After the embassy stopped issuing pension letters the problems started!

If I want to extend my visa with the retirement method do I have to show 800k in bank for the 12 months prior to when I extend, or just show the 800k for 2 months?
In other words do I need a statement from my bank for 12 months or just 6 months or will the bank letter be enough>

About 14/15 years ago on a trip around the north of Issan we stopped for the night in a hotel in Udon Thani. When we went down to get something to eat in the coffee shop we were surprised to find many Thai couples ballroom dancing! The music ws so loud we ate outside!

Following on from my post for letter of residence which is needed for a new driving licence, can anyone please tell me if the DLT near the Regents school are now making appointments for renewing a drivers 5 year licence?
Again thanks!
-
Alright! I can hear the moans about this but it's been a few years since I last needed one and as you all know, things change!!
Don't tell me to use the "search" function either as that just takes you around the houses for evermore!
All I want to know is what paperwork I need to get a "letter of residence" from Immigration at Jomtien?
If it's any help I have a non O extension!
Thanks!!

Can you get help from a Thai person and telephone your DLT.
Tried to do that last week but NO joy!!
Each time my wife called DLT the phone was just put down without answering.
Apparently it will be open to foreigners from next month!!
Good job the screenshot cert. is good for 6 months I'd hate to have to sit through that again!!

I have watched the 1 hour video so that I can renew my 5 year licence.
I have downloaded the app. for my phone.
The certificate that comes with watching the video says you can upload this with the "Passport" number to the app.
BUT !! But nothing!!
The app. asks for Thai ID. or Passport number but does not accept PP no.
I have tried using the No. on my old licence, but again nothing!
Has anyone tried to get an appointment to renew their licence?
My Thai wife and her friend have also tried to do a make around using a combination of their IDs but for a foreigner trying to get his licence renewed it all seems a No No !!
Any sensible help appreciated!!

BANGKOK (Reuters) - A hospital in Thailand taking reservations this week for the Moderna coronavirus vaccine was sold out in minutes - after offering shots via e-commerce platform Shopee.
With a worsening outbreak and worries about the efficacy of vaccines offered locally, appetite has quickly grown in Thailand for mRNA vaccines, which aren't available until near the end of the year.
"It was sold out within minutes," a Shopee spokesperson said on Friday, adding the vaccine sale saw a spike in traffic on Phyathai Hospital's page, attracting 2.6 million visitors.
Could this be the reason the site is not working?
All the vacine as been snapped up long before the expats get a look-in!!

I don't want to sound like I'm pushing Viber but you get 263 minutes call time for $4.99.
And you use their own number to call without having to be reconnected.
When I phone my brother I use the international number for UK 0044 the code and my brothers number. Easy

Coukd it be possible she mis-dialled ? Just a thought.
Why not get her to install LINE and you can chat for free.
Just a suggestion.
Can you use Line to call a foreign landline?

I can't help you with the billing on your mums phone but you could try VIBER.
It's an internet phone service so if you and the person on the other end are within WI FI it's a free call.
My brother, like your mum does not do internet and only has a landline so I use something called ( I think ) Viber Out.
I put about 10 US dollars on Viber once in a while, lasts ages, and call his landline.
I am nothing at all to do with Viber, just a user! But I find this the cheapest way to call a UK landline.
Other people may come up with something better.
Just Google Viber.
Hope this helps!

I do NOT belong to any "organisation" but this seems to be stopping my application going through!!
What have you guys put for this question??
-
I should have told you guys what make/model/tyre size I've got and you would see my problem!
2002 Toyota Sport Cruiser, tyres 255/70/15.
I don't want to buy new wheels or a new truck for that matter!
Truck is in Good condition but I don't use it as much as I used to hence putting on a set of "cheap" tyres! I was looking at the Dunlops as if I've read the advert correct a set of 4 would be 10/11,000 baht.
The only 2 makes at B-quick would set me back twice this price!
Does anywhere have this size tyre anywhere near Lazada price, I'm not too bothered about the make as like I've said I don't use the truck so much now!
Thanks!
-
Anyone bought tyres from Lazada?
Is it worthwhile? Or do you have to pay more to get them fitted?
Do tyre shops want to fit your new tyres ?
Any advice appreciated!

There is NO name on my valve! I have found a sticker but this only gives a serial number but NO name! The pic. posted is similar as are nearly all of these valves, mine happens to be a different colour, black and looks like many of the Haywood types seen on Youtube.
It's possible that this type of valve is or was used in pools around this area so I'm thinking that local pool shops may still stock this part. I thank you all for your replies, I will check with my local pool shop!

Just had the same problem!! I am arriving Birmingham Aug. 9th. until Sept. 5th. cheapest I could get was £54 a day = £1500 approx. The more well known companys wanted up to £100 a day. I've paid £93 for full protection but there is still a limited mileage of 100 miles per day! Flicking daylight robbery!
I've booked through Rentalcars/greenmotion
