  1. They mean to someone who specializes in data recovery.

They will probably open the crashed drive, remove the disk platters and put them in a working drive with the exact same electronics.

Hard disks are like a stack of spinning dinner plates with heads moving in between the plates, chances are the either the movng heads have failed or the platters bearings have failed.

So they may need to buy an identical model drive second hand on somewhere like ebay.

There used to be a company that advertised the service in England but not sure if they still exist.

Not sure if this is them:

You will probably be looking at a price north of 14,000 Baht

you are not in Germany and if want to make comparisons like that the you have to include things like average salary, minimum wage and welfare payments for those out of work, average anual income in the UK is over 40k a year  or almost 2m baht

    Rubbish.

    Annual income is about 35K

What advise for a prepaid debit card for users living abroad who visit thailand for a few months annually ?

A firm where one can send foreign currency, have it directly changed into THB and not have any other surprise expenses or issues when using the card like a credit card in THB when in Thailand ?

    All advice appreciated. Thank you.

Just get a Wise Card. You can open numerous currency balances.

    Use their debit card.

Also use the service for transferring money to Thailand.

Use this link and get a fee-free transfer up to £500 (or equivalent in $, €, etc)

  4. Bit worrying when the website has  spelling mistakes on the landing page of

    easyvisasolutions.com

    "Thai national traveling "

    and

"Obtaining Both Forien and Domestic Visa's "

The standard of professors is going downhill. I wonder if he bought his qualiifications.

Very unprofessional in this day of spell checkers

I've never been charged for digital payments in the UK, in the decades they have been available. Nor have I ever been charged for the issue of debit / credit cards which is the norm here.
Don't the Banks make enough from their customers, with the extremely low interest rates, and high loan / mortgage repayments?
Beware the cashless society, designed to remove control of their own money, from ordinary people.

The retailers are charged when you make a transaction.

Thats the fee that they are talking about.

Currently the is no charge to the retailer when you make your QR Code payment.

  6. If you had a small solar system which was Grid tied and saved say 25% of the monthly Pea cost.  So your monthly bill dropped from 4000 to 3000

You had a constant base load of  1 domestic Fridge, 1  freezer, 1 shop fridge and 1  modern 26 btu air con on every day during daylight hours.

When using this switch mode in "No Export" mode does that mean you are not even supplying power to supplement the local load?
