The Uk has a trade deficit with the EU. and it stands  to loose out more in trade and job losses .

What the EU politicians Don't like is the fact that The UK. Will be able to freely trade with the rest of the world . and will be willing to see thousands of job losses . and businesses go bust in the EU.

In an attempt to hold on to it's power. 

With the Damage of C-19 to the economy and a recession looming And the loss of one of their biggest tax contribution sources .
