  1. You need to eat backwards; start with dessert, then the main, and as last the veggie soup to push things through with its fibers. Fibers are good and go down well when warm in soup.
  2. Dont forget the internal pressure at 7000 feet making it more comfy than the normal 6000 feet or 8000 feet. Its nice inbetween, but dont select the middle seat cause then you are inbetween in the wrong way
  3. All planes are about the same as they take you from A to B through the air. Hpefully at least 55 The rest is preferences. Reading through the posts here makes me think none of you have ever been in the Air Force or experienced a flight in outer space. Neither is comfortable but you can compensate with the right mindset. Thats what they teach you in The Force (not Star Wars).
  4. Renewed in Phangnga while living in Phuket last year. Saved months of waiting for an open spot and it was only an hour drive.
  5. Nowhere do you dispute my information, you just add some more details. My information is still true, you just found it incomplete and wanted to add something like "they have many ways" but give no further explanation. You might have noticed I never talked in absolutes; "this or that will happen", my post was mainly aimed at warning not to lie about your status because the post I reacted on implied they might never know if you dont tell them.
  6. Maybe the AOW simply asks the local government how many people are registered on a certain address. If not, then you could lie and hope they never find out. If they do, some way or the other, you will be fined I suppose for the difference plus a huge markup.
  7. Getting 920 only sounds about right (maybe not fair, but thats another question). They would simply require a Dutch Citizen Number (persoonsnummer) from your wife, which she doesnt have. For tax purposes it is the same: although you are married and your marriage is registered in The Netherlands, she isn't your fiscal partner because the Dutch IRS does not know her.
  8. I get the 500mg at the pharmacy produced (by/for) GPO (Government Pharmaceutical Organisation). 10 tablets per strip, 50 strips per box. Total price around 800 baht per box.
  9. My guess is that they are careful with marriage visa applications because those can be misused by "relatively young" foreigners who aim to secretly work in Thailand or set up a criminal enterprise. Once you are eligable for a retirement visa you are so old you just want to sit on your porch and don't even think about work anymore. So less paperwork is needed by then.
  10. From experience (ext of stay Phuket town immigration): they do not honor the appointment times. When you come in you get the same queue number as you would get without an appointment.
  11. You do understand that many Thais need a motorbike to reach work and the fines you propose can be their total monthly wage? Maybe look at the USA to see how high fines and long jail times work out. They punish harder there than most countries, and now have one of the largest prison populations in the world combined with a very violent and criminal society. Fining poor Thais 5k baht will result in people losing work, being financially destroyed, and going into criminality to get an income. If you want more poverty and misery it might be a good approach.
  12. Everybody can just walk in and buy stuff. But with a card you can get discounts: like 1% money back on fresh meats if you purchase for over 10K in fresh meats in a month for example.
  13. Been the same in Phuket (extension based on marriage) for some time already. And with the back never being quick I can return home till after their lunch time before my queue number is up.
  14. Maybe just find a good lawyer on retainer with your 25m? That will be cheaper than marrying someone when you see a relationship mostly as transactional.
  15. It might be unique to The Netherlands then, but eveyrbody pays the same for a single ticket at the door no matter your country of origin. I suppose that is the same all over Europe (at least Northern Europe), but maybe I am wrong. What they normally do is sell yearly memberships. One time entrance is say 10 euro's, or you can come as many times as you like for a year for the total sum of say 50 euro's. That way the local people can enjoy the attraction for a lower average price, but there is no dual pricing (which is against the law). In Holland you buy a museum year card and you can enter 200 musea for a year for like 100 euros. Visit 5 museums and you got your money out of it already. A similar thing I see here in Thailand as well: the aquarium here on Phuket sells a yearly membership for 999 baht where a regular ticket is about 100-200 baht. A waterpark sold tickets for 500 baht, or you buy a yearly membership for 4 people for 25K baht. Come once a month and you are better off with the yearly ticket, but for tourists it is not worth it as they are only here for a couple of days/weeks.
  16. Are you looking for a shop/workplace that might be able to do maintenance, or are you asking what materials are used in your gate without posting a picture or anything so you can do it yourself? Your post is very confusing to me.
  17. Yes, its closed. I pass there daily and it closed down soon after Chevy stopped selling in Thailand. The building is up for rent so i guess nobody took the effort to put it on "closed" everywhere online.
  18. 1. Neutering can influence the dogs beavior, in both positive and negative ways. Some dogs get more insecure due to neutering resulting in more aggression. Read up about the subject, and please dont use USA websites only as they always tell you to do every possible medical intervention possible (they want to mak money). 2. If you think you should neuter your dog to avoid unwanted puppies, you should not ever consider taking a dog because you are NOT a responsible owner to begin with. Ever heard of a gate and a leash? Don't let your dogs wonder around the soi by themselves! If you dont understand this, don't consider a dobie or even a jack russell. Go find another hobby.
  19. Please do not get it's ear butchered, but do take off its balls right away.
  20. FYI: there is an option to make an appointment online, but your time/number will not be honered. You will just receive the next number no matter if you made an appointment and for what time. (been there, done that)
  21. I got the TRD 4x4 (2.8l) from a couple of years ago and with my slow driving style I need 7.8 liters per 100km. You should be able to beat that.
  22. I make new pictures yearly but try to make them look like last year's pic by putting the camera in the same spot. Its fun to go through those pics of previous years in sequence and see the kids grow while we get older.
  23. What a misuse of the statute of limitations. The idea should be that it pressure the prosecutor to not hold a possible prosecution over someone's head for decades. Hurry up with your work or its too late. Here rich suspect use it as a way to see how long they should stay out of the country before they cannot be prosecuted anymore. A atatute of 5 years means you need to live abroad for 5 years and you are fine again. They use it to avoid the law. Start the trail, let him defend himself or continue in his absence. And if he returns in 1, 5, or 50 years shouldnt matter; the day you walk into prison is the day your sentence starts.
  24. You need to bring your wife and the whole package of documents every year. At some immigrations you only need to bring a witness the first time, but almost all the other requirements stay the same. Edit: other immigrations never ask for a witness, in Phuket they required one for the first time only
