The motorcyclist was wrong undertaking the truck, but the truck didn't indicate his left turn.
This probably gave the motorcyclist probably a feeling of relative safety to undertake. It didnt work out for the motorcyclist. RIP.

A simple maths calculation shows this claim of 100 trucks to be absolute rubbish. I calculated maybe 15 trucks.
Let me enlighten you and perhaps you will understand why your comment is more rubbish than the article:
916 meter = 916 lane meters of 2.5 meters widtha 10-wheeler is approx 7.20 meters long
916 : 7.20 = 127 trucks but of course that is without taking in to consideration space you lose here or there.
100 trucks is a fair estimate and much closer to the ship's actual intake than your 15 trucks, which is in fact absolute rubbish....

The industry desperately wants and needs a return of tourists, these fools just make things worse every time they come up with another ill thought out regulation
They want tourists, but prefer the ones who can pay their own bills. If you've ever been in Thailand you should know the type of tourist they prefer not coming back

Many times I was under the rain with girls, and then the next day they were sick, at least with a sore throat.
Is there any reason to be sick after being wet by the rain ? Even when raining it's never cold here, so why being sick ?
Is it a virus or bacteria / germ ? And why without knowing the cause they always take antibiotics ?
Thank you, I really want to know.
My guess is that it isnt the rain that does it. Returning back inside again where the air-conditioning is at 19Celcius with wet clothes is more likely causing the problem.

he contradicts himself within the same sentence.... how can they be negative if they are waiting for the results
Reading is an art, isnt it?
He said that on July 14, 1,336 people who had tested themselves at mobile labs in Rayong were all negative, while 267 tests in a mobile lab in Bangkok had also been negative.
On July 15, 1,252 Rayong people had been tested of whom 1,247 were negative while five samples were still being looked at.
On July 16, 1,244 Rayong people were tested in mobile labs while 97 got a virus test in Bangkok. The results are awaited.
They're talking about three days 14th, 15th and 16th. negative test results available for 14th and 15th, while waiting for the test results for 16th. It doesnt say anywhere that the test results for the 16th are negative. it just says The Results Are Awaited.- 1

I took delivery of the first Aerox 155 in Pattaya in January. Its the ABS version and has meanwhile approx 1,400 km on the clock.
The decision to go for this was based on its looks, the better seating than the pcx and a number of test drives on the pcx, which weren't enough to make me change from Click to pcx.
The Aerox was obviously bought without a test drive. Ordered in December without test drive was a bit of a gamble, but I don't regret it for a second.
The Aerox handles better than the pcx, has more modern looks than the pcx (even after some upgrading) and above all it is faster particularly uphill.
The only two points where the pcx scores better are
the large fuel tank
the steering bar / dashboard
For all the practical reasons: GO Aerox !
NB: Just read about an overheating problem. I am a fast rider as I like to stay as far in front of the pack as possible. more than 1,400 km on the clock since January riding mainly in and around town I havent experienced any brake problems or heating

Bad advice imho...I use both feet driving an automatic, especially in heavy traffic. I'm of the opinion that my reaction time is quicker since my left foot is already real close to the brake. I don't keep it on the brake pedal, but it can get to the brake pedal just about as quick as my right foot comes off the gas pedal.
Twice in my life, I have gone for the clutch on my automatic and found myself slowing down really quickly. But just twice in over a million miles of driving.
I've been told it's a bad habit, but it works well for me.
What if you need to make an emergency stop and instead of release the accellerator and brake you push both?
My advice for a beginner: keep your left foot as far away from the pedals as possible and use right foot only!
Surely you are just as likely to do this in a manual car?
Sorry, i didnt see this was a question to my comment.
In a manual car the left foot will go no farther than the clutch and the right foot will move away from the accellerator to hit the brake
Having is discussion at all means that a few driving lessons are a worthwhile investment

Amusing to see all the good advice posted by people many of which will never ever speak more than bar girl slang after more than a decade of living here. And I won't exclude myself from that merry group.
Let me just say that an English language educated mass of voters is not in any present or future government's interest, unless they can fully control the Internet.
Furthermore, if all Thais could read the things that are written on this forum, if would be the end of living happily here.
The expats Thai proficiency has nothing to do with the Thai's English (or lack of).
English is the de-facto international language, used for communicating with people from other countries, business, science literature, medical literature and many other purposes.
I could not get to where I am in life without having very good English skills, written as well as spoken, and so would many of my friends or colleges.
Colleagues ;-)

Batteries suffer from the heat here.
I had battery problems with my Ducati when it was about two years old, and used for the odd ride during weekends and holidays only.
Got a new battery and treated the bike to a drip charger which charges and uncharges (not sure if that is the right term) according to preprogrammed cycles.
Never had battery problems since.
Very easy. Permanent fitting fixed to the battery and after a ride it is just a matter of plugging it in...
Cant remember the price, believe eur 50 or so (brought it from europe when visiting there)

Maybe the Pattaya haters has to live here by necessities like finances, not by choice as opposed to people who aren't inclined towards Bangkok or Phuket or even Chiangmai, most would not choose to live there or can move out.
People that has to live in Pattaya for the cheap accommodation probably can't move anywhere else cheaper, cause that would means loss of cheap entertainment/western foods and let's face it, ego massage given by the ladies of Pattaya
As English clearly can't be your first language I just thought I would point out that "Maybe the Pattaya haters has to live here..." is grammatically incorrect, excusable for either a foreign speaker or a 10 year old child, but wrong. Better English would be to say "Maybe the Pattaya haters HAVE to live here".
But as to the logic of what you are saying, if cheap whores, cheap happy hour Beer Chang, a little room in some backstreet and eating fried rice everyday is considered a desirable lifestyle then Pattaya is probably a fair choice compared to the UK for example. However, even cheaper might be Bangkok or otheer even cheaper places to lead a cheap lifestyle. So the Pattaya bashers are probably not as economically trapped as you imply.
At least he gets a message across in a language that isnt his own.
How many native English speakers on TV can manage that?
And I dont mean ordering beer in 50 languages...

The minimum is 5 liters
You dont mention the size of bottle you bought, but if you got 12 bottles @ 33cl you are short about 1 liter
If the other guy got 12x 0.5 liter bottles he was good to go...

For someone about to marry a Thai your question is ridiculously naive. You can have someone clipped here for less than 50K THB.You do the math...
Yes and that 50k includes the right (or is it duty?) to be misrable on TV and complain aout Thai women and Thailand in general because you'd be making the same mistake they made X years ago already...
I think you worry too much about the safety matter, wish you a great wedding, wonderful future!

Nothing that I know of. There will be a big one down near Bang Saray in the near future, but it's still under construction.
I think there's a hotel in the Naklua area that has a good pool and stuff, but can't remember which one. There's a daily fee for outsiders. I'll try to find the post.
That would be the Centara Hotel or the Pullman.
Heard about it only, didnt check it out yet

I don't hate 'Thailand'.
I just don't like Thai culture, society or the average Thai.
Which is why I'm perfectly happy having almost zero interaction with them while living here in a nice, pretty country.
It would be interesting to hear from the posters that "love Thailand" how long they've been here.
25 years and I prefer most Thais to many Westerners. In general, they are pretty easy to get along with.
Agree. It's all about integration.
It Europe people get upset about immigrants who refuse to integrate, build their own places of worship and disrespect the culture and traditions of the country to chose to live in.
I find TV very informative when it comes to visa issues, bank matters etc so I will continue to read posts, despite the fact that many of the regulars either have a bizarre sense of humor or they have limited their lives to bars and agogo places drinking western beers and junk food...
My money is on the second option and I find it sad that many westerners even today see themselves as an example for other cultures.
