  1. Hi, sorry no reply before now - Dr Preeyanuch Khunsongkiet - a lady. Initially frightened the life out of me - found every little thing ref my eyes - some of which missed in UK - but once I got the hang of how she explains - not a problem - gave me plenty of time to ask questions - I had read up a lot in anticipation. I am always a little reticent to recommend - but seems to me this lady is the 'real deal'. Good luck. By the way I went for Mono Distance Lens ( left eye) - in fact it lets me see pretty well after a meter onwards - trying to read with it only a little fuzzy. My right eye can handle short and reads well but gets a little fuzzy ( just a little) over/after 3 metres or so. Not sure if just my Brain or same everyone - but amazing - using both eyes now reading well - I suppose that is the right eye but also can see forever - ( must be the left). More than pleased - delighted and when the time comes ( Cataract now forming right eye) I think will go for Mono near focus and hope Brain does what it seems to do now - sorts it all out.
  2. Thanks for the comments - one and all = yes the 'posh ' Coat of Arms ' is/was our TM30s as per via UbanJoe. This Forum really is the 'Bee's Knees' . Looks like it might just get to be a bit 'rocky' - but whatever - have a good Year one and all. Best Rgds
  3. Last couple of weeks have read this Forum thread in detail - serveral times - very useful. Here my offering - Sriphat yesterday Lens replacment left eye - Mono Lens for distance. Had been best eye entire life - could read road signs from a distance but also the smallest of small print - never glasses. Then Cataract! - 83 years - left eye at point where 3 overlapping moons in the sky at night - something had to be done. Sriphat appear to have the 'kit' to test just about all and every aspect of Vision. Even so nervous as 'hell' on making decisions ref Mono or Toric Lens etc. With right eye still OK close or distance - although never as good as the left had been - I decided for Mono Lens for distance for left eye hoping that the right would do for close and Brain would sort it all out. It has! Well done Brain! - better than I could ever have imagined With Cataract also in right at an early stage so now have option to go for Mono Lens for close - when/if the time comes. I decided against Toric Lens as in past with much Computer Screen work I purchased a set of 'BiFocal' Glasses to cut eye strain and never really felt comfortable with them. I decided for the simplicity on Mono Lens - glad that I did. The young lady Doctor (at my age everyone seems young) who looked after me I hope will have the long successful career she deserves - absolutely first class in all respects . explanation - advice - decision making. The situation now? Well I am typing this less than 24 hours after the Op - no Glasses. Best Rgds to All.
  4. Hi All, Thnxs everyone for your replies - your comment here seems to tie exactly with my experience. In fact I now realise the place we always stay at was probably doing the TM30 report way back in early 2000s when we discovered them. But as for the TM30 Receipt? Seems it was likely the Document they gave me with the Police Coat of Arms with all details ref our stay - it did look like a Print Out of an Input Form from the WEB. Once again thnxs All - I like to know exactly what is what - helps for any future situation. Best Rgds.
  5. Hi, Arrived on 'waiver' and upgraded with a 30 Days extension - all OK - Passport stamped etc - thnxs for advices given here. Pandemonium at Central Festival but excellent 'service with a smile' from Immi. Prior to the Covid thing wife and I had 365 day Retirement Non 'O' Visa' for quite a few years. Circa period 2017 I think the TM30 appeared on the scene - at least it seemed so to us - all of a sudden all and sundry were speaking about it. Appeared to cause much confusion even at our 'long term' GuestHouse - although I had the impression that the responsibility was down to them. At the time it seemed maybe as though it had always existed but few took seriously. Now appears to be pretty 'central' to all paperwork. Can anyone indicate exactly what it is all about - who supplies it etc. The way it was for us previously was that we would sign in on arrival at GuestHouse - Passport No etc and then every evening Immi would arrive on a motorbike and take all details of all residents. So long as that happened we were AOK when renewing out Retirement Visa. This visit to CM we signed in as per usual - but just before Immi Central Festival visit GuestHouse gave us a Form with an impressif Police Coat of Arms with all details ref our stay -- so is that the TM30?? . We met with others at Central Festival who had been turned away due I think no TM30 - apparently a new Hotel only just opened who actually phoned Immi while people there but was insufficient. So what gives?? Any thoughts?? Bets Rgds.
  6. HI Mr Brad, Now that is what you call 'shrinkflation'! I try to be a 'good boy' - never mess with the 'rules'. Had 10 very nice years here - Retirement Visa - looking for more if possible - will start again this coming Autumn - 'future permitting'.. Rgds,
  7. Thnxs Bob, First time I have done this as 'child bride' and I have always had 12 month Non O previously - want to go for one again but not until this Autumn - get renewal date that suites, I have until end Jan- so this coming Thursday gives me some 'wriggle room'. Will get a copy done before I go. Have a good day. Rgds
  8. Hi, Seeking advice please - TM7 for 30 day exstension :- Form T7 + is a copy required? Is Photo copying still available at Central Festival? Is Charge 1900 Baht? Best Rgds
  9. Hi, Came in via Peking - no T6 - but happily had retained boaring Card Ticket stubs - Immi lady asked for that - they were tucked in Passport so no problem for us.

    TM7s

Hi all, I need to get a 30 days Extension come end January. Arrived via Visa waiver - surprised no Landing Card - but informed at Immi "not needed" - wanted our Flight Ticket stubs - bit of a panic - luckily still in pocket. Plenty Passport copies - no problem - always stay same place - TM30 as supplied by Owner previously - assume will be OK. So just the TM7s and P/P Photos - can anyone advise please? Plenty of Blank TM7s but from 4 years ago - with everything changing - have TM7s changed?? Photos - anyone know size and if White or Blue background? All best for this New Year - it has been 4 years since last here - can see place took a 'hit' with Virus. Shocked Kad Suan Kaew gone etc. Cheers.
  13. Hi Woke, Arrived Chiang Mai - all well apart jet lag - just ref your 'world was more relaxed even a scant 15 yrs ago. A lot of the fun has been sucked out of so many things these days' - absolutely - pleased others 'feel' it - was worried just getting 'grouchy' with passing years. Can recommend 'Haisan Air' - quality service - transfer at PEK was a bit of a shambles. Happy New etc.
  14. Hi Bob, 'jackpot' - I have a wad of TM7 for some reason - thnxs for all - beginning to look like soon be there.
  15. HI, Yes the thought did occur - thnxs for best wishes.. All best this Christmas and for New Year.
