My papers have gone back to SB following my NIA interview and will be forwarded to MOI this month apparently... -

It certainly does. Very helpful, as always! -

Thanks for this information. If I retire before my MOI interview, does it significantly affect my chances of gaining citizenship? What about after the MOI interview but before the documents are issued? It's going to be close to the wire for me... -

Hmmm...doesn't seem fair that these are in circulation/being given "to practice". During my interview/test I was just asked to choose 1, 2 or 3 - I chose 1 (exactly the same as above) and scored 9/10 (to my surprise - thought I'd get more wrong). -

Could someone please explain this as I don't understand? If I'm granted Thai citizenship, I presumed that this would then be used on my Thai ID card (I'm British) when I apply for it. I don't get the "use it or lose it" bit. -

I got this sorted btw. I need a letter from the school in Thailand where I sat the exam & then I'll take this, with the certificate + translation, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. -

I had my interview and tests at Special Branch and now need to contact the British Embassy Consular Section to get the letter and certify my passport (should be quite straightforward as they provide both services in the same pack & I can post everything off - SB gave me a couple of sealed envelopes ???? to send off too). They also asked me to get my old Thai Language O Level certificate certified. However, from my enquiries it seems that the embassy don't do this. Any ideas where would be a good place to get the certificate certified (I've already got it translated)? Thanks! -

Thanks - that's very useful. Yes, I realise that the same questions must have been answered before but it's such a long thread. Can I also ask whether there will be a Thai language test and a Thai Civics (general knowledge questions about Thailand) test during my SB interview? -

Apologies if this has already been discussed. I have my SB interview next week. Can anyone please advise how to prepare and what to expect? I'm wondering whether to wear a suit or just smart work clothes, what kind of questions will be asked, etc. Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA! -

Thanks everyone for the updates. I've read the last few pages and it now seems that the 'no criminal record' and 'certificate of legal age' documents are no longer needed. Can anyone provide me with (a link to) an updated list of documents/requirements needed in order to apply for citizenship? My wife went to SB at Police Headquarters (Rama I) today and was told that they no longer handle applications. Any update yet on where the documents need to be submitted? TIA! -

PR agency in Bangkok
lomtalay replied to lomtalay's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thank you, Jayboy. I don't have much free time and would prefer to avoid the hassle of doing it myself, even if it means that I need to pay for someone else to help. With this in mind, can anyone recommend a trustworthy agency/lawyer based on first-hand experience? -
PR agency in Bangkok
lomtalay replied to lomtalay's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Thanks for your reply, Jack. I'll spend some time looking at existing threads then. I'm just mindful of the fact that I have a full-time job and other commitments so I have very little free time. That's the main reason why I was considering an agency to help with the leg work. -
Could anyone please recommend an agency/company in Bangkok for handling PR applications? TIA
