  1. And expensive! People don't realize how poor the quality of food in the Philippines is compared to the same in Thailand! Fresh vegetables are a luxury and so is seafood -- which is ridiculous for a nation like Philippines -- an archipelago of 7,000+ islands. Manila is closer to the sea than Bangkok is and yet, seafood prices in Manila's supermarkets are 2-3 times higher! Filipinos eats much more processed food, out of cans, Thais do.
  2. Jeez, learn how to write! The placement of almost' should be before 'death' -- not before 20 metres!
  3. And let me guess, most of the applicants for this visa type will be Mainland Chinese who will find it one way to move their family out China?
  4. Philippines has millions of English-speakers, just like India, that's why Western firms outsource some back office operations to BPO companies. Thailand does not have many fluent English speakers, that's why such service jobs don't end up here -- but Thailand has a much better manufacturing sector than the Philippines does.
  5. What actually happened: PM: "I was trying to bend over to the CCP and ready to pull my pants down... but the backlash from Thais made me pull up my pants"
  6. The wealthy six GCC nations alone don't constitute the 'Middle East'. Yemen, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, etc. are all part of the Middle East.
  7. That what I want to know. How are they living in Thailand? What visa did they enter with?
  8. Yup, Chinese state media got enough material to fuel their propaganda on Western social media sites they operate on under different pages. 1) Chinese victim. 2) Shooter was wearing a cap with the USA flag on it! CCP struck propaganda gold!
  9. Does this movie clear that that it's MOSTLY CHINESE GANGS that are doing the kidnapping and scamming? As if the CCP govt. who is still working with the military dictatorship in Myanmar and has heavily backed the Hun Sen regime in Cambodia -- the Chinese govt. still cannot crack down on their criminals? They go after Chinese dissidents abroad and set up secret Chinese police stations in the West.... but next door neighbours don't get any crackdowns?!
  10. Nice way for this Chinese official to make it sound as though Chinese gangs operating in Thailand to kidnap Chinese tourists are solely Thailand's fault.
  11. And just like China, will Thailand increase the number of coal plants to produce cheap electricity? https://www.theguardian.com/world/2023/apr/24/china-ramps-up-coal-power-despite-carbon-neutral-pledges
  12. Germany will never sell their technology, knowing very well the Chinese will somehow gain access to it, then reverse engineer it, and then sell it to other nations for cheap. And Chinese state media will tout that as a sign of China's "advancement in home-grown technology"!
  13. I wonder in the future, how many Chinese shop signs and banners in Mandarin I'm going to be seeing across Thailand.
  14. Look at their faces. Must be holding in their laughter. "Oh lord, another Western sex tourist's call for help"
  15. Even when I clicked the headline, I knew it was going to be a Chinese-linked business.
  16. What a sad, sad day for Thailand. The more things try to change, the more the corrupt establishment work their hardest to keep things the same. I feel sorry for Thailand's youth!
  17. Errr, these acts are committed BY Chinese gangs operating in Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines, etc.
  18. Yes, how disgusting. By the way, millions of Malaysians cross over the border to Hat Yai... for shopping and eating only? Nothing 'un-Islamic' happening in Hat Yai after dark?
