  1. perfect pcx modification man.

best pcx i have ever seen here in Thailand.

    congrats and good job really.

    Many thanks. smile.png

What is the total cost of the very nice PCX including all mods?

Don't know the answer for that particular scooter....but it has been said that some people are spending more on mods than they paid for their PCX new!

It looks great but I would be worried about leaving it anywhere!!

  2. Thanks to both of you. I have seen reviews of Gillhams on Tripadvisor, but no mention of price. I now know why, but It does look nice.

I am not sure where we will be staying, but I am pretty sure that my options will be limited by my host's needs. It may be best to push them to arange an outing for me.

Gillhams is nice, remember that the 5500bht per day does not guarantee you catching fish!! Everything is expensive there and you will end up with a bill greater than 5500bht and maybe catch sod all!!

  3. If you are ever stuck for one get a needle and glue it (needle point into the handle) into something to act as a handle. Then cut half the eye it will leave a tiny hook that can pass through baits but still act to pull the hair back through.

That is a great idea, the one I found is slightly to thick for things like sweet corn but is okay, will be out tomorrow looking for a big needle!!

  4. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Most helpful comments. You are my role model in %$#@$%^&!

I'll now crawl back under the bridge.

    Have a nice day.

Did you expect people to congratulate you? Do you think leaving a fishing rod unattended while you go for something to eat is responsible? Maybe you have seen a Thai person doing this so you thought you would do the same!! Well it's not good!!

  5. This may be a brilliant marketing ploy by Honda. They are opening big bike showrooms and putting these uber expensive imported bikes in them. Everybody will come in, see them, drool, but few will buy. Then, suddenly, the prices will drop by 50% once their already announced big bike production gets underway here in Thailand. When that happens, the word will spread like wildfire and many of the people who had drooled, but balked at the price will rush in and buy one. This ploy will eliminate the usually start-up lag and "kick star" initial sales of the domestically produced big bikes.

Let's hope that is true, if the price of the NC700 reduces by 50 per cent I would seriously consider one.

  6. Is the lump painful?Area around it red?

If so, it is possible something is still inside that did not show on xray. In which case you need a doctor to incise it and locate and remove it.

If not, just a lump, then it is likely just a residual hematoma (clotted blood) or scar tissue.

It is not red and the soreness has almost gone, looks normal from the outside, I have to go back to hospital for the 2nd Tetnus next month, if it is still sore I will get them to X-ray again, thanks for the reply.

  7. Epic: Ask from the bars which use those?

Kawa: CO2 for motorbike? For what usage?

It would have been for tire inflation after getting a puncture, they are used in cycling, anyway could not find so now have a small air pump which connects to the battery.

  8. If you think Phuket zoo is a disgrace try visiting the free zoo on the way to Phang Nga, this will make you sick!!

Where and whats the name of it?

Don't know it's name, it is on the right hand side on the way to Phang Nga, it is easy to miss, when we stopped there it was disgusting, otters bathing in there excrement filled water, croc with one leg missing looking in a very bad state, other animals also in very poor conditions. Vey sad!!

This was over a year ago so things could have improved.

  9. So kawapower- what do you mean with the z1000 was to much for traffic in phuket? I really dont understand that. Big size? Too much power? Seat hight? What????

The honda nc700 looks like a big bike- high and heavy, what is the difference between them ( apart from th power an gears)...

I know the cbr250 well so how is that compared to the z1000? For town riding?

Maybe Brian from sumet can come with a few good points on the big fireblade compared to the cbr250 for town riding...

What you buy should always be what you like, not what your friends like...

I for one am happy thathonda is expanding an hopefulle a few more models will come soon to a competitive price...

Sent from my GT-S5660 using Thaivisa Connect App

I simply found riding the Z through traffic very tiring, being a powerful bike the constant gear changing in traffic made it exhausting, things I should have thought about before purchasing, I never think about things before buying(silly sod, the bike got very very hot which of course is normal for a bike but was uncomfortable for me, size wise the bike was great, seat height great, it simply was not for me!! the CBR250 is for me, light and easy to ride in traffic, it does not get so hot so is very comfortable in that respect, great on fuel unlike the Z(which of course being 1000cc you expect, love big powerful bikes but they are just not practical for my usage, would save myself a lot of money by thinking before buying.

The difference between the Z and the NC700(which I have no intention of buying is obvious, it is auto, it has heat protectors so there is no massive heat onto your legs etc, For a big bike it would need to be auto but again I have no intention of changing from my great 250.

I always buy what I want and never influenced by others(a mate said "are you sure you want this bike"deep down I knew it was a mistake but the young heart yet again got the better of the old head, maybe that's where I am going wrong with buying bikes which are just not suited to my needs. Life is short so I do what makes me happy at the time!!

Not the end of the world lol
