Thanks I'll try that brand too. The problem I have is that without fail one or more of the plugs or USB strip fails and it only takes a few months sometimes. I have had some which survived for years but it seems totally random, like the factory has no quality control (probably).

I'm using Toshino and so far so good.

Just a thought but please make sure you buy from legit source (e.g. their official Lazada shop, previously listed on the thread). I've seen some too good to be true prices elsewhere and would think it's a copy/fake.

This thread has been running for months and we get asked this question every few days. Check out PlugShare for a map of chargers.

see my post last week about PTT chargers which are rolling out. MG has CCS2DC every 150km

Electric Motorbikes in Thailand seem to be for local trips. Haven’t seen any touring ones yet, but Triumph have a factory here…..

You misunderstood my question.  My question was regarding lack of motorcycles/scooter with fast charging capabilities., not number of charging stations in Thailand.

As far as I know, there is only one company, Energica Motor Company, who currently has DC fast charging motorcycles in the market and Energica is not sold in Thailand.  I think newly released BMW CE 04 scooter might be fast charging as well but not 100% sure about this (also currently not sold in Thailand).  My point is that EV motorcycle seems be very far behind EV automobiles development.

I bought a cheap one that leaked so threw it away. Years later I bought the same model and it too leaked. Then I realised in the little packet of screws there are two rubber washers.

My experience also.  Using rubber washers and swiveling head, I've never had a leak (although had one old hose that broke).

An alternative to LASIK (which is not permanent) may be Supersight - replacement of your lenses with artificial.  This is exactly the same clinical procedure as used to treat cataracts, with the vital addition that the new lenses flex and correct vision.  Doctor T is a leading world expert in the procedure - his name came up in multiple searches when I was researching corrective surgery five years ago.  The change is fantastic and I would wholeheartedly recommend him.  He will give an initial examination, and will not proceed if he considers you are  not suitable.

What was the recovery period and process for Supersight?  Also, any waiting period for getting the correct lenses?  Is this permanent change (e.g. lenses lasting lifetime)?  And what was the cost involved for the procedure?  I read the provided link and the correction seem to cover both near and far sighted issues?  I got PRK done around Y2K and it's been great for far-sighted correction but now I'm nearing 60 and I think I'm basically blind for nearsightedness.

I am continually amazed at folks that will spend $$$ on water filters without even knowing if there is anything that needs filtering.  We buy 20l bottles for 10 baht even though the mains water is (supposed to be) potable.  I just don't trust the people in charge of that.

And how do you ascertain that your purchased water is any better/different than other the main water?

This is from a few years ago. Just noticed it on Netflix. It has one season (Part 1) but I think there is a second season (Part 2) ? Well, so far it's not bad. Something like an origins of rap and turntable mixing story from run down NYC  1977.

The Get Down was cancelled after Season 1 (11 episodes ) ☹.  I also enjoyed this a lot.

P.S. It looks like Thai Netflix has first 6 episodes streaming so there is 5 more episodes after that.  https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4592410/episodes

  7. I have AIS 50/20 now .. previously I had True 75/??.  AIS is very very good ... often I get speedtest.net tests over 50 (close to 75) and it's been very stable system.  This experience was in two different condos in BKK.  And, it's cheap ... around 300 baht per month.

My experience with True (2 years ago) was not as good ... often I experienced issue with system downtime and slow speed.

I wish I had faster "true" (not True) fibre optic speed available to me but current speed is OK for streaming and occassional downloads.

Ummm.... It says lazada global. That should have been a clue.

I think OP should pay more attention to this.  The seller was clearly identified as "LazGlobal" which means an oversea seller so this is more important factor than "Samut Prakan".

I've ordered some stuff from LazGlobal sellers and generally it takes about 2 weeks to get the items.

I've tried this a few times and it just keeps saying "loading", anyone else having the same issue?

I tried on Chromebook/Chrome and experienced same.  However, when I refreshed the page, the selection appears to have been recorded/committed (not where I check-marked but reflected on three individual choices above).

Last time I tried that it just invited me to apply for a job. I've tried again, and it ignored me when I pressed 2 for other languages. I hung up and tried again and it didn't even give me that option but just rabbited on in Thai about fibre.

Scuba provided the most helpful, meaningful and detailed reply.

JUST NOW, I followed the steps/instruction provided in his reply and it worked exactly as he stated (including getting the SMS reply back confirming the cancellation).

I've got an Android phone and Chromebook in my room, so when I say 'OK google' both start up - any way to get one to do this only?

Look for "Google Assistant" related settings.  There is an option to turn this on or off on a device.

Good to buy a T D S meter (software deleted <deleted> last time I wrote it).  At 50 baht it will confirm proper operation.

FYI, T D S meter does not measure salt content in water.  You can google it for more detailed information.

I may have the opportunity to move back to Thailand sometime this/next year but my job will require a solid internet connection with fast international speeds to North America.

Since I've been away from Thailand for a while and it looks like the country has significantly improved it's internet speeds I was just wondering what are the best residential hookups you can get these days in Bangkok?

The answer depends on what type of residence you will be staying at.  If it's a condo, then you are limited to what type of wiring/connection is setup for a condo.  For older condos,  the internet service might be around 100 mbps or less.  If it's a house, then you may be able to get it wired for a gigabit service.  Also, "fastest international speed to North America" is whole different ball game as the bottleneck may not be the internet service.

Anyone know which company is supplying the electric scooters?  I have a Toyotron now (Bangkok based) but am looking for a much better model next year.  Strom seems OK but they don't have a style I like.  I may go with an imported Niu, it's fantastic.

I believe it's one of the model from Deco Green Energy .  You can google for more info.  It's Thailand assembled e-scooter.  There are few Youtube video reviews on this by "Bjørn Nyland" who is a Thai-Norweigian guy.

Well I finally bit the bullet. I ordered though Ubuy. 2,500 Baht.

I now wait to see what those (deleted) nice people at customs do.

I'm very curious to see how this turns out.  I theoretically know what that website does but am curious if it really works as designed and don't know anyone who has used it.

There is one statement on website FAQ that worrisome.

In rare cases, a shipment can be stuck in customs and there is a need for declaration or additional documents from you. If you are failed to provide the requested declaration or additional documents then we will not be able to offer any refund from our side because the shipment will be confiscated by the customs authorities.

  16. I don't have the answer you are seeking.  However, I am also hearing impaired and have used smart watch that I wear for my vibrating alarm for many years.  I used to have Pebble watches which had a very strong vibration but the company was sold to Fitbit.  Now I wear Amazfit GTS watch with around 2 weeks battery life and decent vibration.  This option is slightly more expensive than your Sonic Bomb option though.

  17. Best value - Creative Outlier Gold

Best All Around(in my opinion) - Jabra Elite 65T or 75T

My favorite - Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus (light weight, small size, long battery life, decent sound)

Waiting for - OnePlus buds to arrive to BKK

P.S.  I don't use Apple products (personal taste) and use TWS for mostly streaming (movies, youtube)
