  1. @digbeth Yeah good point with the mirrors vs handlebars. I definitely have to fold in the mirrors first when dealing with tight traffic in my experience. Will consider some modifications as I have certainly noticed many people with those tight little mirrors coming of the center column. I didn't know if those would be effective at all as I definitely use my mirrors. Something to consider. @Agusts I was focused on just the extra width of handlebars, but yeah you are right the weight and length will prob be the bigger issues when tight maneuvering we all come to love dealing with in Bangkok. In regards to the leg length, I hadn't considered that aspect coming from the PCX to the ADV. I rode an ADV several years ago but haven't recently. As someone who is 6ft2in, this is definitely something to consider. The new 2024 160's which is what I had my eye on also changed the seat arrangement. I read "Although the overall stance of the new 2024 Honda ADV 160 is about 4.6 inches taller than the previous model, the seat height is lower by 0.6 inches to give an overall height of 30.1 inches. This reduced seat height makes riding on the scooter easier for short individuals by helping them place their feet more comfortably while riding." Thanks y'all for the comments!
  2. Hello all, I am interested in buying an ADV 160 and live in Bangkok. I currently drive a 2013 PCX and it is time to upgrade. I was thinking the ADV 160 would be great to handle all of the poor road conditions throughout the city with a little more comfort given the fatter and more rugged tires. However it seems the handlebars are a bit wider then any bike I have ridden in Bangkok. Also, considering just going to a Forza 350 which surprisingly has more narrow handlebars despite being a bigger bike . Any ADV riders here have any feedback on the extra width of the handlebars? Do you find it more troublesome when weaving thru traffic? Or is it a non-issue in general? Even when I am on little clicks or qbix you kind of have to do a heavy lean to side when in stop and go traffic to maneuver thru the cars when cars are stopped mirror to mirror. So was wondering if ADV owners find it more annoying or it's not a big deal at all as this is a small part of the time you are using the bike so the pros outweigh the cons. And Forza riders, do you guys find any issues in traffic with the bigger bike compared to when you may have driven a smaller cc bike? I am probably thinking too much about it. Both seem like good bikes. But any feedback I would be appreciative of. Thanks for any feedback. Cheers!
  3. I mailed my passport to the US embassy in BKK and they got me back a new one in less than 3 weeks. Super fast and easy. Instruction on the embassy website. Can just knock that out if you want.
  4. Hello guys, Does anyone know of a supplier that sells/delivers/refills CO2 tanks? I live near Town in Town / Lat Phrao / Chalong Expressway. If anyone knows suppliers in my general vicinity, or ones that deliver wide, it would be much appreciated. Thank you!
  5. Hello all, I am looking at running eight 1000 watt LED grow lights for an indoor grow. I obviously need to get the electrical issues sorted but have no experience with this. It was recommended I ask this forum so thanks in advance. Main Question: Can I use the American made Titan light controller (240v / 80 amps input / 60 amps output / 60hz) at my house. Will the fact it is 60 hz be problematic in Thailand? I have seen some breakers have written 50 hz, and some say 50/60 hz. My breakers don't mention hz, only 240w. Below is more information if interested as well as pics. I was looking at ordering a Titan Light Controller (linked below) to connect directly to the circuit breaker, and then plug the 8 lights directly into that. https://www.titancontrols.net/shop/product/titan-controls-helios-18-12-light-240v-controller-with-dual-trigger-cords_29_000053?categoryId=lighting_3 The Titan is made in the US and is stating: Operates up to 12 -1000 Watt grow lights at 240 volts Universal outlets will accept either 120 volt or 240 volt ballast cord sets 80 Amps power input/60 Amps power output 240 Volts/60 Hz./12,000 Watt Max 60 Hz. However, the Safe-T-Cut is showing: 220/240VAC 50hz 2p 60 amps? A 40 degree C 10000 AIC @ 240VAC IAN 5 / 15/ 25 mA Tripping Time 0.05 sec The breakers all seem to be 240v, range of C10, C16, C20 and also say 6000 - 3 if that is relevant. There are 2 open slots in the box. I apologize for being a total novice, but am smart enough to know I need help. Definitely do not plan on doing the work myself, but any insight into what is possible or causes of concern would be much appreciated. Cheers
  6. Ohhhh good question. I am not familiar with this if anyone knows about this. Thanks for pointing that out.
  7. Lol fair enough. Buuuut fawk it we are going for it. What did you mean by "fashion lights?" Just for show and not effective?
  8. I can get this model for $800 so it is not as expensive as listed. Seemed like good price as I haven't seen any 1000 watts for $800. Yes, definitely a bit more than buying 600w, but am assuming the extra watts can crank out more yield? Buuut I am a noob
  9. Also, which brand did you get? Any recommendations. Appreciate it.
  10. Did you have any issues with customs getting thru? Or did they just deliver to the door no worries? Thanks man.
  11. Hello all, I am wondering if anyone knows where I can buy a light controller in Thailand? If not, I will have to order from abroad but figured it was worth checking here first. I am no expert, but am familiar with the linked Titan Brand. I would need at least an 8 light unit. Thank you for any insight. Cheers. https://www.titancontrols.net/shop/product/titan-controls-spartan-series-8-light-240-volt-controller?categoryId=titan-spartan-series
  12. Well I hope they are legit lol. What do you think of these specs? Kingbrite seem to have a good reviews from my online research. But yeah, I hear about false specs on lights. https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/US-Stock-Kingbrite-1000W-1100W-LED_1600386673186.html?spm=a2700.wholesale.0.0.43f98035i8oseE
  13. Ok you guys are hired lol. Great information here, what a resource. We are getting eight 1000w LEDs. Not sure if we run 4 lights in 2 different room are can make all 8 in one room. Given the different demands of the different equipment, lights, fans, water system, dehumidifier, air cons, etc, how much should you stress any particular outlet? Should each light be on their own outlet or can you run a few lights through a single power strip? So many fans I am guess. My first run at it but I will have help from friend with experience. Thanks guys
  14. Hello all. Looking to start growing cannabis with 4-8 lights in a big house. Given all the electrical needs for such an operation, could anyone describe the amount of electrical upgrades that would need to be made to your average expat standard house (whatever that means) in Bangkok. A lot of the house just have a one or two 2 hole outlets per room that seem fairly old. Would need to add a lot more outlets and maybe more fuse boxes? I am not well versed in this at all, but trying to get an idea of what that might entail to upgrade the electricity to cover the potential needs. Any idea what that might cost in Bangkok? Or about how long to install? Thanks for any insight. Cheers!
  15. Hello all, Does anyone have any recommendations for stores or websites to buy quality LED grow lights? Ideally with a store I can visit and look at products, but if not that, any good supplier websites based in Thailand? I am based in Bangkok and would love to be able to go to a quality shop. I have seen online the Accent Hydro shop in Lat Phrao, but they don't have any LEDs in stock apparently at the moment. Any insight anyone can give me would be much appreciated. Thank you guys. Cheers.
