  1. I've checked for DHL or FedEx, it's so expensive !!

I will probably use Ukrain airlines to go back, how to know their policy for excessive weight ?

I've tried to find when I simulate to buy a plane ticket but I don't see info about this

I seem to be 23 kg on most of the companies, but how much is 1 kg overweight ?

You are wrong. Many airlines will take an extra bag for an all-in price if you prepay it as I mentioned. If Air France doesnt then just look at other airlines.

50kg is hard to carry? Who carries anything these days? They have trolleys for that.

    Couriers will cost more.

ah ok prepaid, I should check that yes

50 kg with a trolley is ok, but I go more far than Paris, I need to take train after

  3. I would like to pay cash my plane ticket to go back to europe, I don't think I can use my kasikorn card ? (it's basic card)

for thai airways it's easy because they have offices at Suvarnabhumi airport,

but how to do with cheaper another airlines like aeroflot or gulf air ?

I have to pay directly a travel agency ?

    where to go ?

do you have any advice to find a cheap flight when you pay cash ?

  4. excepted some second hand facebook groups, where I could sell some of my second hand stuff ?

I have a very nice hifi system, is there some shops buying in Bangkok ?

I would like to get it to france but there is a very heavy subwoofer, so I guess the fees to send would be high

  5. thank you all for your replies

by plane the price of supplementary kilogram is very expensive, I remember on Air France it was 15 euro per kilogram, I had 38 kilograms on 23 allowed, so I have paid 15 euro x 15 kg = 225 euro

also it's hard to carry 40-50 kg for one person

I will check DHL and FedEx for the price, I think it should be cheaper than having more kilograms on the plane

  6. I'm moving, going back to France after 6 years in Bangkok
I have too much things to get all my stuff in the plane, I suppose it's 20 kg per passenger, and I think I have arround 40-50 kg of things,
so I would like to send some boxes to France

what is the best, and the cheaper ? thailand post ?

how much it cost per kilogram ?

    what is the delay ?
    is there insurance ?

also I will try to sell some stuff before to go, is there a second hand section on this forum ?

  7. I'm sorry if my the title of my topic was a bit clickbait, it's because I've needed some quick answers in the next hours to make a choice, but I've forgotten there are so many answers on a short time on thai visa forum

finally I've choosen to go to the Lao Airlines office located at Silom Plaza, BTS Chong Nonsi, I was unable to find the working hours, google map says this plaza open at 11am, but I guess the Lao Airlines office is already open, this is an open plaza and each store can open at the hour they want, so I'm going now, I will maybe send feedback after, wish me good luck guys, I'm not sure to survive in that jungle

  8. more infos from my recent search on the train :

I am not even sure I can buy a train ticket, it seems the sales close one hour before departure for 3rd class train, then for 2nd class train is how many hours before departure ?

I guess the tickets sales booth are not opened at 6am  for a train at 8:20am ?

Also I didn't know there is an alcool ban on trains, 10 hours of train, and not able to drink a good fresh singha on board ? :-(
    10000 baht fine ! wow

what about the cigarette, I guess it's forbidden on board also, the people who want to smoke a cigarette go on the train platform on some train stations for 5 minutes ?

  9. Hello, I've set my questions in bold :

I've done a mistake on the validity of my visa, I've thought my visa is ok until 23 of june, but it's 21 of june,

so when I've seen that, I've tried to get a Lao Airlines plane for the 21 of june on the evening,

so I've gone on the Lao Airlines website, tried to buy a ticket with my kasikorn bank card (I have the Internet payment option)

but I had a page with "verified by visa", and the kasikorn page of the payment told me I didn't registered for "verified by visa"

so they asked me 4 questions that only me can answer, I answer them correctly, but each time I had an error written in red, so I've tried again thinking it could be a bug,

and then after 3 tries, the page told me something like : you cannot use the "verified by visa" system anymore, contact your bank (it's too late today to contact them)

So I've missed the last plane of the 21 of june to leave the country in time, I guess I will have to pay 500 baht at immigration for being in late of one day ?

I've thought to ask to my mother (in europe) to use her bank card to pay my plane ticket, but sometimes at the check in they want to see the card used for the Internet payment (and of course I cannot show the card of my mother)

ok then if I cannot pay anymore on Internet, I will buy my ticket at a office in airport and pay in cash,

the problem is these offices in the airports they seem to be open between 8am to 10pm,

I would like to go to Air Asia office and buy a ticket for the only flight of the day of 12:05pm,

but the sales closes 4 hours before departure on Air Asia, so I have to buy my ticket before 8:05am,

and the office open at 8am, so I could try this option but there is a risk I'm unlucky if there is only one customer in front of me in the queue

would it be possible the working hour of the Air Asia don mueang office I've found on Internet is not up to date, and now the office open at 7am ?

Else I could to go at Lao Airlines office at Silom in the morning to get a flight for the evening

I hope it's possible, I know for Air Asia the limit to buy a ticket is 4 hours before the flight, but Air Asia is a low cost company, I don't know for Lao Airlines

the only other plane leaving the country on the 22 of june is Thai Airways, but it's very expensive so I prefer to avoid that company if I can

I have thought also to the train or the bus, but I have never used them to leave the country, I know it's possible to go by train to Nong Khai and after there is a bus to the border,

but I am too late today for the train of 8pm, and if I take the train of 8pm tomorrow, I would not left the country before midnight, and I guess it means a fine of 2 days in late, 1000 baht ?
else there is a train at 8:20am going to Nong Khai, arriving at 5:45pm, if I go to the train station at 7:30am the ticket sales office are opened yet ?

the price seem to be 498 baht for express DRC day train, is this train usually full ?

Just my skeptical nature, but an adult constantly staying long term in country on an Ed visa, given the current scrutiny and questions I hear being asked about how a foreigner supports themselves proves they are not working in Thailand, etc.  It seems like there would be more questions asked as the stays and total in country time increase?

good question, usually they don't ask about your income, but one year and half ago, when I came back with my new ED visa from vientiane, at Suvarnabhumi airport the immigration officer ask me to follow him to explain why I was so long time in Thailand, we chat about 10 minutes, I had to answer many questions, I've explained him I work on Internet with france only, so my money come from France, I don't earn money from Thailand, he asked many questions on my business on Internet to be sure I was not lying, and after he allow me to enter the country again. For Thailand it's nice to have people working on Internet because the money come from another countries and you spend money in Thailand, so you are a bit like a super tourist, I've done maths and I think on one year I spend arround 17 times what an average tourist would spend on 2 weeks

  11. I have studied thai 3 years, english 1 year and half, and now studying russian for 1 year and half, this is the maximum that you can do,

it remains 6 months for me of studying russian, but I don't like this language and I want to stop, so I plan to go to Lao to get a tourist visa because I don't want to go back my country,

since I have a condo in Bangkok I'm a bit in a worry if I don't get the tourist visa, then I could go back for 30 days with the passport only to give back my condo and change of country ?

Do you think they will refuse me the tourist visa ? Any other guy as the same case of me ?

If I come back in thailand by the land and not the plane I will get only 15 days with the passport ? So I guess it's better for me to come back by plane to get 30 days ?

maybe I will go to Cambodia, but I prefer to stay in Bangkok, I've heard you can get a one year visa in Cambodia for 287 us dollars (I don't know what kind of visa it is)

Is it easy to find a company to move my things from Bangkok to Phnom Pen ? I don't have so much things, I guess less than 80 kilograms of things to move
maybe it could be possible to rent a car with a driver ? (I don't have a driver licence) how much could it cost ?
