You might want to consider a CT calcium scan. Stress Test will detect 85% of coronary artery disease but 15% will not show up. Since you have history of smoking and are symptomatic I think this would be wise.

Phyathai Sr Racha is offering a promtional price 2,550 on this in February.

I just had the CT scan at Phyathai. Good price, quick service and a very new 256 slice scanner. Takes 5 minutes, non-invasive and it is the gold standard for identifying the extent of your heart disease (if any).

Ivor Cummins on youtube has many videos explaining the benefits of a CT scan.

I live on a quiet are and usually in the past when I flew friends drone I do it away from places that can cause any issues.

Someone here mentioned ghat foreigners are not allowed to register drones for now because some flew into restricted areas etc. So does that mean like with anything Thais never do anything wrong or bad?

Therefore we aren't allowed to fly drones based on race and or culture.

If you base your perceptions on what "someone mentioned here" then your perceptions will inevitably be skewed. No problem registering to fly drones.

5/2 is just a form of intermittent fasting, ìdeal for all, including diabetics. It involves plenty of fluids and is a harmless non gimmicky diet.

The jury is still out on this cranky diet fad. Its a variation on the discredited Atkins diet. Cutting out all carbs is simply dangerous Check out Dr Mercola.

Given that there are no essential nutrients in  carbs, how can cutting them out be dangerous (and keto is not an absence of carbs, it's a restricted intake)? Increasing numbers of people are turning to keto to reverse their symptoms of diabetes, or just to get healthy. I have been keto for two years and have eliminated the symptoms of atherosclerosis, repaired my immune system (never get sick), trimmed my waist down to 31" and generally feel amazing. To me, and many others, it is not a fad, or a diet, it's a sensible way of eating and I intend eating a low carb diet for the rest of my life.
Perhaps a little hasty to dismiss a nutritional approach that tackles the major health risk of the modern world (insulin resistance, diabetes and all the horrors that spring from that) as being a cranky fad diet...
As for Mercola, widely discredited, but he pushes keto along with many other approaches which might help him sell supplements and books.  https://www.mercola.com/calendar/2018/keto.htm

  4. We have the same. It is an annual tax on your company. I have no idea how they calculate it; just turn up and pay! You do get a proper receipt.

Houses owned in a Thai name don't have to pay.

That now doesn't work for me ... Are you sure that it still works for you. I use IVACY and set it to the UK and reset my computer back to UK time ...

I do have Mobdro but it now only works on my phone ... doesn't work with Bluestacks anymore

Worked for the last GP. I use the Browsec premium VPN on Chrome.

    Hello,

I understand you ! Pattaya or even Jomtien are awful now, just good for tourists.

Can you show me on a map where is the new road that you are talking about ?

And where should I look around Huay yai to find a house to rent (or land to build a house).

    Thank you.

The atached, very roughly, shows where the new road crosses Huay Yai. There is a further crossing to the south. The crossing for soi 43 is already complete and in use, have not been down to see the actual Huay Yai crossing for a while.
I suggest driving trawling the real estate sites to find potential properties and then driving around the area checking these out and also finding other places not on the listings. You can have a look at the road crossings at the same time!

  7. There's another connection to the new road on the road going north from Ban Bueng school on the above map. Once the new road is built it should take the pressure off the railway road and the weekend mess at the Huay Yai junction.

We have lived out here for four years now and would never go back to where we used to live in Pratumnak; it is so peaceful  here.

  8. I have a VPN and have tried both the US and Thai service.

The Thai based service is, obviously,  both quicker to load and effortlessly streams HD/4K content. It is therefore my default for accessing Netflix. Should I find there a need to watch something not available here I could switch to the US service, but in 20 months of subscription I have yet to do so. Maybe our viewing interests/volume are different, but I think the crippled bag of chips/full course buffet comparison is overstating the benefits of the US catalogue.

Meanwhile, took out a free month trial subscription to the Iflix.com service today. Regular price 100 baht per month.

I didn't know who/what Iflix was until recently, when I was reading some articles where Sky UK had invested in the service, and it turns out they have some other substantial backing as well, and are now making a push to expand in Asia.

I'd be curious to know, for anyone who's used both, how you'd rate/compare Netflix Thailand with Iflix. I've never done the crippled Netflix Thailand version, but for 100 baht per month, Iflix seems to have a decent selection of U.S. movies and television series. It looked like they were offering Thai subtitles on a lot of content, but don't appear to have any actual Thai-origin content as yet.

Netflix are moving to more and more of the content being their own programming, which is then available in Thailand on the same day as the rest of the world. No doubt there is content not available here, but all the new shows are, and amazingly they  come with Thai subtitles available on the day of release which my wife likes, and indicates a level of commitment to the local market. So there may be less available than, say,  the USA, but it is hardly crippled. There is more available than we have time to watch!
