Hi, my only worries are: Is it a problem if the WISE account is the name if my wife?

Thanks for the note about the selected purpose. Probably would have seen that, but good to know in adavnce what to look for.

    please forgive the suprficial writing

should read: the account is in the name of my wife (only the one from WISE)

i know the transaction itself ist a simple act.

  2. Forgive me, must have been asked before.

we will soon move to Thailand, where i will apply for non o based on marriage.

with the account in my name, i got to send the money there.

my wife uses a wise acoount already. I could get one, too, but actually we have no need of another wise account.

if i use the wise account of my wife (sending the money from my account in germany to her wise acc.)  and from there to my bank acc. in Thailand,

may the IO have a problem like: "that is not your money", "not coming from you"

or does it just not matter at all?

    thanks in advance

  3. Sheryl, thank you so much for your effort.

The 60 km far hospital is the Buriram hospital. The small ones are closer. There was no cancer.

I will check the links. There are some insurers, i wouldn't know of. I checked Cigna,  As they advertise so much, already and am not especially convinced.

Actually, as i find also in your info, lots of services are not expensive, the insurance is mostly for accidents, unexpected issues and common stuff for the time we get older, like yearly checks to prevent further conditions.

(trying to still sound confident: i will never trust in an only spoken "info" of a agent without binding form)

the german companies seem to offer only travel insurances or if you call it expatriate insurance they still ask for residence in germany. otherwise it gets really expensive yet it covers the whole world which is no benefit to me.

My current insurer for germany does not cover thailand at all, despite it would be cheaper...

  4. flyingtiger I could not find health insurance on the LMG website.

BKKKevin i got a travelinsurance before (very well), but not for permanent stay.

Thank you Sheryl: There is no choice where to live, but we are fine with Buriram - closest hospital 13km just renovated, anaother one the foreigners recommend 25 km, big ones 60 km in Buriram town. My wife does not really know yet, what the 30 Baht sheme includes, so maybe it is better then she thinks.

I will be 60 when we arrive, preconditions are removed thyrox (everything cool, just need the hormones (around 15 - 19 € for 100 and even cheaper online) - can cover that, if necessary and a slightly up blood pressure (can also cover the pills, if necessary). In rather good health in total, despite some doctors focus on risks, which i don't.

  5. Best wishes for a nice day,

my wife (Thai) and me (German) will move to Thailand this year. We like to have health insurance.

My wife of course is eglible to what they call the 30 Baht sheme, but not me (or am I?)

This seems to be rather basic, even for her.

If any of you may recommend a way to get a health insurance, company, experience will be appreciated.

We also consider a coverage by the SSO and may top it up with a bit of private insurance.

But i have red on the net the SSO only comes into consideration, if you work for a thai company (of course with a work permit),

or if you have been in and paid for at least 12 months.

Is it mandatory to start that with a job or are there other legal options to use the SSO?

Feel free to ask for more information.

    kind regards

  6. Thanks Dr.Jack for the detailed answer and the links. Thanks also to OJAS.

Forgive me that i couldn't answer your questions earlier, was truely busy.

    To answer your questions:

My wife is Thai, from Buriram. We married in Denmark. I got a yellow House Book and Pink ID. The marriage was also registered at the Aphmoe before and again verified for the YHB an PID. The foreign certificate was translated and legalized from Denmark, Thai Embassy Kopenhagen, Thai Embassy Berlin, etc and again in Munich, Bangkok. I did not mention because i felt save, it should be OK.

Actually i planned to put the 400k. I thought i need to have it in the Thai bank two months before application. Therefore need more than 60 days, not to get under pressure. Easy if it is enough to be there on the day of application.

I am not yet officially retired. Pension age at the moment (they threat to push it up more) in Germany is 67.

    kind regards

  7. Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

my wife and me will move to Thailand this year. Therefore i need an allowance for permanent stay.

As far as I understood, there is no way to get a Non O-A based on marriage outside Thailand - we are in Munich,Germany.

I need to get a Non-O for 90 days, which i can/should extend in Thailand.

    Is this right so far?

    The Questions:

    1. An extension will be for one whole year? with multiple entries? (We are not planning to return to germany, but maybe visit a neighbouring country.)

    2. Are there any requirements for the extension besides the usual money in the bank, the proof of marriage, proof of adress.

Like a medical certificate, a health insurance (we will get one anyway), a criminal record clearance (no worries, but would have to bring it) or other?

    3. Do different IO will ask for different things for the extension? We will be in Buriram.

This maybe be discussed and cleared in another topic already, yet i could not find it. Please accept my apology to not actually get along well with the search.

    kind regards

You have probably pushed wax deeper into your ear with the cotton when cleaning.

There is no need to clean inside you ears like that.

Your ears self clean.  You only need to clean them when you shower and not poke things down into them.

exactly - and yes: doctors are the ones who solve these kind of issues (personal experience)

  9. Please accept my humble apology: We are in Germany, going to Thailand again in a week on the 45 day visa exempt.

We will rather not have a reason to visit immigration this time. (But who knows? - and I will apply for a non o based on marriage the next time , not this time - but who knows)

Still we do the TM30 everytime online after we arrive from Germany, because we do not want any trouble or even fines for my wife.

(We even did it the first time at the police station in the nearby district, within 24 hours, because then there wasn't the online option and we did not want to go to the far away immigration office.)

As for the Jetlag and because it needs to be done within 24 hours I have the idea, we could do that in advance - if possible - so we can just relax when we arrive.

We have always been very correct on all the official ways for good reasons.

Maybe it is worth to mention I got a yellow tambien Ban and a pink ID.

  10. There are men going to a foreign country buying sex/bodies/physical service with money. Some want true appreciation. Some even think they may and can own a person. Some do the same at their home country (or just country of origin cause home wasn t pleasing, but anyway) some won t as they are afraid. All this is common despite it is rather not socially recognized.

Then there are participants who make a science out of it.

What does that teach us? Do they never learn?

  11. This is serious and could go fatally wrong any time. Despite it might be ok for a long time, or even never fail, that is a "lucky" draw.

Heater with safety cut is mandatory.

We f.e. got a great Panasonic for (i think i remember) 2800 Baht (there are cheaper ones that will do).

You need proper installation. Check the ground wiring.

Fix it today. As from the start: These things (and worse) have been very common for decades without trouble but the only statistical figures, of which you can become a part tomorrow.
