  1. I was checking this TM30 online now as I should do it again for our trip here and just saw this thread Had a look and one thing I noticed is I used all .jpg files, not .pdf. Maybe that's the problem. Also, once the person has setup their details AND the house details, you are set to add "stays" to it. When you first login the house should show as "Approved" and that's where you select ADD at the bottom, another pop-up and fill out the form and submit.
  2. Yes 100% correct, I'm doing this now in Phuket but only for 6 months. 1. 2 months + 1 month extension* 2. Off to Penang** for a few days 3. 2 months + 1 month extension * Extension was easy enough (just a bit of push and shove with Russians haha) but got copies of the form so I can fill it in beforehand next time. ** Penang the closest/cheapest option plus have never been there. Georgetown looks like it might be interesting. Also, for an Aussie, just have to fill online your intension to stay Malaysia. I believe you can stay for 90 days. As someone mentioned a border crossing could be cheaper but from Phuket it seemed too difficult.
  3. Hi, what did you end up doing too? We have no children either Be very interested if you needed any other documents other than Thai ID Card and house book. Although, I bet it depends on the amphur office and person behind the counter. Wife will probably go within the next week and find out.
  4. Just learned of this directive. Wife's current ID has a different name and DOB to her Australian passport. I understand it is easy to change Thai names so if we got her name changed on her ID to match her Australian passport any reason we couldn't make use of this directive? Have read the directive and can't see anything about date of birth matching (it's one year wrong). So I understand she can stay as long as she pleases here and just show Thai ID on departure? Sounds too good!
  5. Names need to be the same but what about birth dates? Do they need to match? Does Australian/Thai immigration really want to see the other countries passport? Also, this comment re needing a visa if the names don’t match doesn’t make sense to me. If you enter Australia with an Australian passport why would you need a visa.
  6. Just a comment here... I'm on rosuvastatin (Crestor 10mg) and this statin can be taken it at any time of the day. Have tried taking it at night but often forgot or not home or whatever. Now I have a notification on my mobile to take it at 7am. Like the op, my cardiologist in Australia said I could try going off the statin but GP's tests showed an increase after 3 months off it. Note I also have other issues like mild plaque plus LBBB. I did not want to take it and looked at so much info about the subject. Hard decision with polarising views about statins but this info I decided I'd better take it, obviously with my doctors recommendation... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjPDA0Ccl50
  7. Scare mongering with no mention of how many ice vehicle combust in comparison. https://thedriven.io/2023/05/16/petrol-and-diesel-cars-20-times-more-likely-to-catch-fire-than-evs/
  8. Thanks Phillip, I just bit the bullet and took a couple of hours to decipher. Ended up just registered myself (too hard for inlaws) and used passport as ID and I got a login. Setup the address plus uploading inlaws ID and blue book. Added myself and wife to it and got the approved/informed printout. Done, annoying and an effort but suppose it won't be too hard in the future not I've done it once.
  9. Just arrived at the inlaws place Phuket and knew about this TM30 but not sure if we have to register. Note we need to extend the visa at the local office during our stay. When applying for the METV, on the form you need to add the address you are staying, so does this exclude you from needed to do the TM30? Asking here because to register for the TM30 it seems you need to be a business and we are only staying at the families place. Thanks
  10. Thanks Pib and others. We won't have the income for the LTR visa but thought this O-X might be worth considering. Will keep thinking for the next time but right now we have just got a METV. Would would be great is if this 90 visa exempt came in!
  11. (For retirement long stay: valid for 5 years) https://sydney.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/non-immigrant-visa-type-o-x I'm interested in this visa (Sydney embassy) for my wife and I. Reading through the requirements I'm not sure of a few things. Anyone know who has got this visa please... Spouses of holders of O-X Visa will be considered for temporary stay under Category ‘O’ Visa if they do not qualify to apply for the O-X Visa themselves. A duly notarised marriage certificate must be provided as evidence. Not sure about this part, would that be if the spouse doesn't have the $150K or some other requirement? Would both my wife and I need $300K total? Would this Category ‘O’ Visa mentioned, have the same validity of 5 years? A certificate of health insurance issued by Thai insurance companies covering the entire period of stay in Thailand containing the detail of coverage as follows; In-house patients of not less than THB 400,000/policy year, as for out-patients, not less than THB 40,000/policy year. You are requested to obtain health insurance for at least 1 year. Firstly it requires health insurance for the "entire period of stay" then "You are requested to obtain health insurance for at least 1 year". We are interested in roughly 6 months in Thailand and 6 months in Sydney. I get "free" 6 months travel insurance and I want to use that as much as possible. For this 5 year visa, can we just pay the first 12 months health insurance to obtain the visa? Thanks.
  12. I was ignoring the second entry for simplicity as it says, "For double - entries visas only". There is another visa called exactly that (Double entries) so was ignoring it 😄 Ahhh I wasn't sure of this or if they wanted copies of flight tickets - thanks. I'll do this, thanks for your help.
  13. OK cheers, so: "Date of Departure from Thailand" 3 months after we arrive. including the one-month extension. "Duration of Proposed Stay" as 90 days.
  14. Hello, I'm filling in the Visa form that's located on the Sydney site here: https://sydney.thaiembassy.org/en/page/95336-forms? My plan is to apply the for the multi-entry and stay about 6 months. Two months stay One month extension Trip to Malaysia Two months stay One month extension Question is about the "Date of Departure from Thailand". Would that be the date we go to Malaysia or the final date we leave Thailand after about 6 months? Also, I've put "Duration of Proposed Stay" as 170 days as the total number of days excluding the Malaysian trip. Would that be ok? Thanks.
  15. Thinking twice! ...I may not be 100% saying that Combination of genetics PLUS my lifestyle may be the reason I became pre-diabetic. Anyway, an annual blood check is always a really good idea because you can reverse it.
