  1. It’s ok to change agents It’s no issue. The agent you speak of went to 20k from 14k in one year so I know a few who switched to Pattaya. Living in Bangkok it’s not such a big issue, but now with the price at 18k it’s more of a draw. At 20k, yes use another method. If you can get cheaper why not? Just be aware of the drawbacks. Some other agents were charging even more than 20k. The agent route may not always be available but I understand it makes it so much easier even if you have the cash, 90 day reports, etc. we see criticism from those who don’t use agents agonist those that do. Do what works for you, of course doing it yourself is best but some may have reasons for not doing it. I get so bored reading theses forums and seeing people getting attached for something rather then people being helpful
  2. What agent is better Maneerat or vip visa? Looking to do retirement extension. Both are the same price. I will use mid July
  3. I have had several friends ask me about visa Agents in Bangkok. Are there any agents besides Thai Visa Service? I know Pattaya has several that make it a breeze but Bangkok seems lacking. Some suggestions would be appreciated
  4. I don’t have a favorite. Several years ago I did open an account with KrungSi. My newest account that i opened here. I opened it back when BKKbank stoped issuing Visa and Mastercard debit cards and went with that Chinese payment processor. It was so annoying, even Starbucks wouldn’t accept it. Now BKKbank has went back to Mastercard so I am using it, never use the Krungsi one lately but they do seem more service oriented compared to the other, if they issued me a credit card without a deposit I would do more business with them. KBank I have used for years and tend to keep money that I don’t need I have had a credit card through them for more than 12 years. My spending money I keep in bkk bank like others say it depends on your branch but I do agree Krungsi over the last several years has been known to be more foreigner friendly
  5. If your passport is up to date with the bank then you can go to any branch. If you have obtained a new passport for whatever reason then you must go to the branch you opened the account. I just went through this tears ago. In the past they didn’t really care and they still had passport on file from 2 years ago when I opened the account. Sometimes they may have unreasonable demlime seeing that old passport from 20 years ago….if your passport matches what they have on file go to any branch.
  6. Thanks. I typed the name wrong it is Revolut. I am thinking to give Revolut a try. I have never had any issues with wise but they don’t ship debit cards to Thailand. One thing is Revolut has not ask for my passport information or anything, besides SS number, this is worrying to me as I am afraid they will do it in the middle of a transaction and hold things up. Actually my Fevoult debit card has just arrived today, I do like the app and how it is linked to my checking account but it working and being hassle free is the most important. Price seems similar but WISE wins from my research….
  7. I have been using WISE to transfer money from the United States to Thailand for years without any issues. I normally receive the money in my Bangkok Bank instantly. Would Revolt be the same? I am thinking about trying Revolt but wanted to find out others experience The debit card seems a lot more flexible then WISE and it looks like Revolt will send the debit card to Thailand but WISE won’t. it would be great to hear other s experiences
  8. Someone has been watching way to much FOX news
  9. Thanks. Sounds like best to wait until prices for routers that have more then one 2.5 gigabit connections to drop I was thinking about 1.5 gigabit but maybe betting to get 1,000 mps up and down and start to update some LAN cables, etc. my deco x90 preforms well but not as good as I had hoped, mostly from the one node speeds decrease a lot. I can find the perfect spot then speeds in other areas decrease. Lots of 2.4 and 5 ghz traffic in my area, certainly wireing the 2 together would help…..
  10. Yes not sure why I keep doing that and I am not able to go back and edit
  11. Yes that was sort of my point. But multi gigabit internet is here so time to upgrade your switch’s and old cat5 cables WiFi 7 will even allow WiFi to break the 1 gigabit bottleneck some say WiFi 6 can but I certainly have never seen anything greater then that on WiFi
  12. One 4K stream requires 30 gigabits. , so it certainly adds up 6k, 8k will be coming soon. Typically 500 mps is a good speed for most if it is just one or two people sharing. I certainly never max out mine. As others have mentioned the international speeds suffer in Thailand but now it’s much better than before. If you need faster speeds international I suggest setting up a dedicated VPN in Singapore. I can stream anything from anywhere without issues. I couldn’t say that just a few years ago
  13. Of course not but the bandwidth would be combined in this case to make use of the full connection. Example 2 gigabit. 800 on WiFi on main Deco, 900 on LAN. The total would be almost 2 gigabytes The 2nd Deco could share also. Next generation routers will have all multi gigabit LAN ports so this won’t be an issue
  14. yes it more costly then others but it just works, flawless I want something I keep having to tinker with, I want to watch. I have tried many many over the years and by far this is the best, yes this could change as some others started out good as well until they weren't I used Scorpion some rude British guy was reselling guys is, was a <deleted>........I don't want to deal with any Telegram BS either all of the ones that highly use Telegram have been rude to me at one point or another. over sized ego guys whom will kick you out if you disagree or say one thing bad....it is typical of any one using Telegram for CS
  15. The Gigabyte bottleneck has kept me from upgrading to 1.5 gigabytes I just bought a new Deco X90 mesh to replace my 6 or 7 year old Orbi. the router has one 2.5 gigabyte port and the other is 1 gig yea I could take advantage of the combined speeds but I would never see the 1.5 gigabytes in a speed test nor would any single device benefit from it not that any device needs that much speed. I am assuming my Fiber optical box would need to be replaces as well WIFI 7 is coming next year but its not going to be cheap. even with my new x90 having only 2 ports and only one 2.5 gigabyte port the 1 gigabyte bottleneck will persist but with its dedicated backhaul that 1.5 gigabyte or 2 gigabyte speed could be shared. 2.5 gig switches are still costly but thinking I could slowly upgrade my cables, and buy 2 new 2.5 or 10 gigabyte switches. I am getting about 800 mps on WIFI on my main Deco currently Not bad at all. I get about 900 to 940 mps wired on my PC. The 2nd Deco I get around 500 MPS on WIFI If you are using Multi gig fiber let me know your setup and the speeds you are getting on Wi-Fi and wired .
  16. I have been using Apollo group iptv. Works flawlessly Lots of live tv and movies, Great layout as well. It doesn’t do you any good to have 10,000 moves is you can’t find what you want easy. No buffering either. i thought about trying Plex but I didn’t know any host
  17. I am not sure if how the authorities here would view it, not am I 100 percent sure of the band being used. My research seems to point towards 915 MHz. I had been looking at the Prove of Coverage hotspot miners but none have a delivery date until after October. Helium will probably ha;f before then so not sure how profitable it will be and worried about the legal framework here and buying the model with correct band being used here thanks in advance if anyone knows any details
