  1. Any psychopath with access to nuclear weapons is guaranteed to launch them, sanctions or no sanctions. Or he could be assassinated before he hits the nuclear button. The probability is that Putin won't stop invading (liberating) other countries after Ukraine - Moldova has been reported as being next on his list.
  2. It takes a Russian businessman to seek Putin's demise as a continuing war criminal, while the USA, UK, and EURO countries sit on their butts thinking sanctions will suffice in the long term. Yes, mates, but by dilly-dawdling along, Putin would be still free to launch a freaking nuclear war.
  3. 25 Feb. The Russian rouble RUB= weakened 4.51% versus the greenback to 84.96 per dollar after softening to a record low of 89.986 per dollar. The Russian economy relies on a healthy oil revenue, and the USA are now seeking alternative sources. IMO, ONE psychotic man is holding the western world to ransom with nuclear threats if any country or bloc intervenes. Time to eliminate him instead of pussy-footing around. How? As the Ukraine PM is a Russian Jew he should have Israeli Kidon contacts - the unit within Israel's Mossad - that is well equipped to assassinate enemies. Yeah, I guess that this post will be slated, as is the norm, but I would hope everyone on this site would willingly support the Ukraine people in their fight for freedom.
  4. With the influx of tourists, it is clear to me that the increasing infection rate is caused by locals infecting the tourists - because even if they've been jabbed a freaking million times they can still catch Omicron.
  5. Well you are not living in Chiang Mai. My local market on highway 121 has big juicy strawberries just like your picture. And yes, there are also the Thai ones at lower cost.
  6. Once you've had Covid and recovered, and you're otherwise healthy, maybe with minor medical issues, you're protected from becoming seriously ill same as those having being vaxxed. So the 90 million vaxxes should be redundant for any people in these two groups. Read up on the latest scientific peer reviews on natural immunity - about time too - which no doubt is the main reason why in the UK all restrictions are about to become history.
  7. Yes, 0.1% is correct, missed the %. Statistically, 0.1% is not serious enough for governments to lockdown everything. That's the fear factor again.
  8. I had it a long time ago - either the Alpha or Beta variant - and recovered well. Since then I could have picked up Delta and/or Omicron, neither of which caused any more than minor effects with no serious medical issues. As natural immunity is as good as vaxx boosters, I don't expect a recurring infection bout to trouble me.
  9. That's 0.001% in Thailand with a 65m population, and IMO, many would be suffering other medical issues. As for the USA, IMO, many are dying with Covid, not by Covid - as their population is generally unhealthy with other serious medical issues. Try not to exaggerate the Covid infection death rate, flu death stats are greater, particularly when Omicron infected.
  10. You really need to get up to date. Try Googling it. But it's not your fault because no peer reviewed scientific studies were made until recently - try the Lancet first - and as far as Big Pharma were concerned they did not disclose any of theirs because they were making money out of vaxxes instead. Common sense should have told you that a person exposed to all components of the infectious disease and recovered from it should be far better protected that those who had only the protein spike protection. As a rule of thumb it's a very close statistical choice, but both routes way ahead of those non-vaxxed.
  11. And Big Pharma has made billions on that one premise. Yes, people with serious medical conditions are at risk, but those vaxxed up to their gills and natural immunity people who have suffered and recovered from previous variants would be very unlucky to even need hospital attention from Omicron. Even non-vaxxed people, if otherwise healthy, could escape serious infection. From what I can make out some Omicron infected people suffer from bronchial attack - which is not necessarily serious unless it extends to the lungs where it could cause damage if not medically treated. As for the Thai population, I feel sorry that the government is really not up to ever managing Covid, because they are so insular in their beliefs. Pity the Japanese didn't colonize them when they had a chance a few centuries ago.
  12. Three points: Delta infection and recovery does not protect you from Omicron infection. Anyone, including heavily vvaxxed people, could get it, including non-vaxxed people and those with natural immunity following recovery from a previous variant, because vaccines were produced to cater for pre-Omicron infection. What vaccines protect is the worst effects of the infection as does natural immunity, but not non-vaxxed people. Subject to just how strong your immune system is, which depends on ones lifestyle and health. Secondly, in a year's time if the medical industry gets approval, we'll all probably be taking a pill as an endemic protection, instead of jabs.
  13. Live with it because we are opening the doors to every tourist under the sun, and blaming them if it all goes pear shaped, and forcing us to lock down every restaurant, bars and entertainment areas. Piffle to the lot of you.
  14. I do. Albeit I have no issues yet. After recovering from Covid my natural immunity is just as effective as a vaxx - read up on the very latest USA studies 2022 which would need to be expanded to be accepted by the scientific and medical research hospitals/organisations - and Big Pharma. I think most people now understand that neither VAXX nor NI would necessarily prevent infection by Omicron, but would be able to lessen the bad effects. From the latest studies, adding a booster jab as well as natural immunity has no statistical benefit from Omicron. Both are just as effective to keep people from being hospitalised. However, for a belt and braces approach, As you have stated, it seems advisable to stick to the current position, and if free vaxxes are available, that could be a bonus.
  15. What he's doing is copying Boris Johnson's rise to P.M. Both unfit to be P.M. But the populace and loves and admires them because they are born leaders, being entertaining, and relating to what lockdown impoverished people need to see in a leader - even if it's a whole bag of lies. Omicron, now an endemic, is a great platform to sell his wares. Just putting himself at the same level or better than the USA government, is a voting gimme for Thais. Note: entertain people and they will consistently like you, whatever you do. Human nature.
  16. In principle, yes it means you get back to pre-Covid life, with the understanding that you could still catch the Omicron version of the virus like you could do with flu virus. In time, if catching more than once, it just becomes lesser and less problematic, but you could still take a booster jab to lessen the effects just like flu jabs. As for what the government would do is to gradually reduce restrictions, as their main aim is to reinstate their money making tourist industry - and an endemic status could be blamed elsewhere if it all goes belly up, as is the norm.
  17. IMO, the pick up driver was at fault by excess speed and failure to be alert at the crossroads, as the crash site off road would indicate. There is little doubt in my mind that two boys killed and one older motorbike driver near death's door in hospital is not representative of a low-speed crash caused by the motorbike driver exiting the crossroads. Yes, it's debatable - I wasn't there - and whatever, my sympathy goes out to the deceased's family.
  18. Yes indeed. It will be a sharp awakening for both the government and the population. While the Omicron variant, now an A & B version, is said to have less effects than Delta, for vulnerable people it can still be serious if not treated quickly. A 50 year old fit and healthy friend of mine in the UK, while he followed all the Vaxxes and took extra care, still caught the infection. He said he suffered extreme tiredness for several days that needed bed rest most of the time. Whatever long effects that may arise, he doesn't know. While not life threatening for him right now, be very wary that's it's not necessarily an easy ride back to full health.
  19. I have recovered from Covid, possibly twice, although the second infection was minor in comparison to the first. I have natural and strong immunity, I am not suffering from underlying illness, my dietary regime is healthy, and extra jabs would be ineffective, IMO. So no, it's not smarter. I could be infected by Omicron which is not a big deal for me, as could those who have been vaxxed to the hilt, and I'm sure that I'll also recover from that with mild symptoms if the science is correct.
  20. A belt and braces reply, when many countries are reducing the number of quarantined days to allow people to get on with their lives. UK has now reduced to five days.
  21. Gradual exposure to Omnicom infection would provide protection against Delta and eventually wipe it out. That's the government's best way of endemic success by relaxing some lockdowns etc, NOT totally isolating people, which would be counter-productive. Yes there will be huge spikes but low hospital cases and deaths if the science from other countries is accurate. Currently, the UK are following this pattern and it's the latest solution to end the pandemic, and to live with the endemic instead, without needing booster shots every few months.
  22. There are plenty of 'recovered from Covid' people who are healthy and consider their natural immunity to be on a par with those vaxxed. I'm one. And people who catch Omicron and recover, are protected from Delta. That's why the UK government are not in lock-down mode as although the daily cases caused by Omicron are high, hospitalisation and deaths are not at pandemic level but at endemic level. There is also the consideration that people are hospitalised with Omicron for other health reasons, not as a direct result.
